I don’t usually write bad reviews, but it needs to be addressed. I went a few weeks ago to get an inspection and to fix a loud noise my car was making. I spent $1800 to get it fixed along with other things. I got the car back, and the noise was gone. However, the next day the noise came back, sounding like a chainsaw or a lawnmower. Before I could bring it back to them, my steering wheel locked up, and the car stopped in the middle of the interstate. I had to get it towed back to them to fix it. I went back to pick it up the next day, and the sound came back once I started up the car. So, another mechanic had to do something to stop the noise. It stopped temporarily, but as the days went on, the noise kept coming back on and off. I called again to tell them, but they said I had to bring it in when it was making the noise. Of course, it went away when I got there. So, I recorded the sound. I went back, but it still wasn’t good enough. I talked to a retired mechanic who heard the noise and told me the belt was too tight. I told them, but they said it was the fan going bad. Yes, the fan is going out, but that’s not why my car is making the noise. Because they didn’t want to help me, I had to call my dad. I'm a woman, and people like to take advantage. I had to drive three hours to get the belt fixed. And guess what? No noise! I would have paid for whatever because money was never the issue. This has been going on for over a month, and the original mechanic was never there, so I know the guy just didn’t want to fix it. I wish it would allow me to post the video so you could hear the sound.

I am so grateful for the mechanics and the manager over at Meinke on Broad st! I live in Williamsburg and had come to Richmond for the day and got stuck with a flat tire. The tire was recently repaired at the Williamsburg location and I was already down $100 to pay to have a spare put on to get to them. They squeezed me in on the spot, found and repaired the problem, and made it possible for me to get home within that same day. With jokes to get you through it! Thank you so much!

Today I called to see if I could set up a diagnostic test and to also let them know what was going on, the Manager Carl was amazing 👏, He Listened to what was wrong with the vehicle, he didn't rush me and tho I probably said the same thing a few times he Listened. Never Interrupted and said he has a guy that specializes in finding out whats wrong with vehicles. He was Polite, Professional and also caring and ensured me that they will do there best to try and get to the root of the problem. I Highly recommend meinke at 5216 West Broad Street. Carl makes me feel so confident in there work and findings. My First Experience was Great!!

I had a great experience yesterday at Meineke Car Care Center! I walked in with no appointment at 8am, was immediately helped and picked up my car by 2pm which had multiple things to be worked on. Everyone was super friendly and communicative and I felt very taken care of! Would absolutely recommend coming here!!

went in for a tire change, check engine light, and heat issue. was charged $400 (200 of that for the heat) and they said they couldn't even diagnose the heat or engine issues. incredibly incompetent people here. wouldn't recommend.

Update! Jason is there now and things have turned around, thank goodness!! March 2026 I have been going here for 32 years!!! This was the worst experience I have ever had! I dropped it off at 7:25am before they opened and it wasn’t done until 3:50pm!!!! Check out the placement of my inspection sticker after waiting all day. How much longer would it have taken to place it correctly(attention to detail)? Now my wife has to look at it all year.

I needed to change a high beam light in my car on a Saturday, and after going to two places where I was told I had to leave the car until the next day just to change a light, I felt very disappointed. I was sad not to find a place that could do the job the same day. I then passed by Meineke. I had never been there before, and I was so happy to meet a great person, Carl, who provided fast and efficient service, along with a very nice conversation. He truly saved my day, and the price was just right!
