Horrible Experience In June 2025, I brought my daughter’s car to this Midas location for a full inspection and paid $1,300 to get everything repaired. I trusted that the work was done properly. This past weekend (August 2025), the battery light came on. I immediately brought the car back to the same shop to see if this was an issue they overlooked in June. Later, I received a call from the shop claiming that three other things were wrong with the car issues they supposedly fixed 2 months ago. At that point, I told them not to proceed and that I would pick up my car. When I arrived (I live less than 10 minutes away), they handed me the keys. But as I pulled to the front desk, they demanded payment for work they never even performed. To make matters worse, the staff claimed my “husband” called and authorized the repairs—I do not have a husband. This was insulting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I asked to speak with Jason, the manager, but he never came out to speak with me. Instead, Alicia dismissed me, helped another customer behind me, and then they called the police on me. The police later called me, and after hearing my side of the story, they stated: “This is not a criminal matter. Thank you for your follow-up. Have a good day.” This entire experience was unprofessional, deceptive, and disrespectful. I paid Midas a significant amount of money for repairs that were clearly not done properly, was treated poorly when I raised concerns, and was even threatened with police involvement.

The worst service ever I needed a brake job done on my Ram 1500 the price kept on changing. They were asking $1500 for the brake job. Then it went up to $1800 so I went to the dealer and only paid $1200 Midas is a rip off especially that Location

They never reinstalled the bracket that holds the wire loom in place and front mounting holes for the engine cover. Missing the small heat shield above the front O2 sensor, unplugged wires, and twisted 02 sensor installs. I was going to give 4 stars because this is warranty work they did for free, but after seeing all of this, I'm livid. They installed the timing belt two teeth off the front cylinder bank, and 4 miles after I picked it up, I drove it back because of a check engine light, they did not catch the problem. A year later and hundreds of dollars in coils and injectors trying to find the problem, a friend's shop found the messed up timing issue and midas took it back immediately for the free warranty repair. I appreciated all of that until I couldn't even reinstall the engine cover and found so many loose connections, stripped out air boot clamps, and just lazy work to put it back together. The tech said he would look for the missing brackets and call me back. I know some mechanics like Jason there are quality mechanics and can do anything. Just disappointed with this outcome

Was told car would be ready Friday after being called on Wednesday. Fast forward 2 and a half weeks they finally were supposedly done. Picked up the car check under the hood see multiple bolts missing and even broken bolts(they don't seem to allow photos but will post when I figure it out). They Refuse to remedy the missing pieces. Wouldn't trust these people with a bicycle. Jason is a liar told me three separate times it'd be done this day went to pick it up and the entire staff knows nothing about it and he left for the day. Use this terrible company at your own peril. Liars and thieves at this terrible "business"

Had an absolutely terrible experience here. I arrived at 8:02am (they open at 8am) to get my car in for a wheel alignment. I was told that it would be about 30 minutes until they could get my car into the shop to start on the alignment. That’s all good, no problem. Well, 30 minutes goes by. I don’t hear anything from them (I was sitting in the shop’s waiting/reception area almost the entire time). Then an hour goes by. So at about 9:30am I ask how much longer it will be. The front desk employee tells me that “they’re almost done with it”, and that she can see them finishing up now. I go out to check where my car is and lo and behold, it’s not in the shop but still where I parked it. They finally get my car into the shop at about 10:30am. You would think an alignment would take less than an hour, but I finally got my car at about 1:05pm. So I guess it takes them 2.5 hours to do alignments. During this time, I asked again how much longer it would take, and this time I was told that it was “being written up now” (AKA it’s complete and he’s writing up the repair invoice). I was told this at about noon, a whole hour before it was ready. I think my car actually was ready at about 12:40, but no one bothered to let me know this. I had to ask yet again when my car would be ready for them to realize this mistake. Finally, I had a coupon for the wheel alignment that I got from their website. When i presented it, they refused to honor it because “the owner isn’t here”. Apparently only the owner can honor any coupons. Pretty stupid policy if you ask me, especially when he was only there half the day. Stay away from this repair shop. Their employees literally couldn’t care less about you. *EDIT* - I see the owner is denying that it happened at this location. I can confirm that this all did actually happen at the location at 2995 E Big Beaver Rd

I came in the other day needing service and thankfully was taken back quickly. Tiffany found the issue and immediately started repairs. While waiting, Alicia worked tirelessly (and successfully!) with my extended warranty to try and get the repairs covered. I couldnt be more grateful for the patience and grace they showed me in an already stressful situation. My mother in law is a loyal customer of theirs and recommended I came to this location specifically. I am so happy I listened and have found my "go to" shop! These people who work here are absolutely AMAZING. I recently got hit on big beaver road and pulled inside of their lot to wait for the cops. The sweetest woman who worked there came out to make sure I was okay, and even gave me her heated vest to wear because "she didn't want me to be cold waiting for the cops". I am so grateful for her care during this time. A very sweet man also came out to examine the damages and provide me comfort. He even offered to put my spare tire on the tire that was hit for me. SUPER amazing people, I will now be recommending them for everyone. God bless them.

Tried this location for my oil change today after having multiple bad experiences at the location on 14 & VanDyke and they are fabulous!! I found out this is a privately owned location, was treated wonderfully from the start and had my car done under the time frame they said it could take (35 min instead of 45). They didn't try to up-sell me on things from air filters, fuel additives, performance upgrades, etc, as I've all but had forced down my throat and had to fight them before on why I don't want them. They honored the price on my coupon without adding in 2-3 other "miscellaneous" fees as well as actually rotating my tires, unlike the other store that said every time, even when asked to and it was included, that they inspect them and do it "if needed", when I know I've driven 6-8k miles and they were due, they didn't do them. Nothing but praise for the 16 & Dequindre location, you've gained a new loyal customer!! Thank you!

Very happy I chose the Midas shop on Big Beaver. They had the hard to find battery I needed and it was installed quite fast. Also they were able to install TPMS sensors to correct the tire pressure problem. Very knowledgeable and gave me a thorough explanation of the problem. Team is very friendly. Would not hesitate to go back for future car care.
