Came here at the beginning of a winter to get my Catalytic Converter replaced. Porsche (/Volkswagen) uses flex joints on their exhaust that are known to break with time. The car sounded horrible and kinda was embarrassing to drive. I bought the new Catalytic converter off of ebay hoping I can replace it myself. But Michigan rust didn't help and the exhaust bolts were a pain to get to without a lift / heated garage. These guys were honest with the job, I understand how difficult doing something like this is and they charged a reasonable price (I would ask the same kinda money if I had to do this work to someone) They spent 2 days fixing the car and took care of all my concerns. At the end of the day, the car is as good as new and I can probably enjoy the car for much longer than I initially wanted to keep it. (I kinda wish I also had them do a muffler / resonator delete - because the car is extremely quiet now 😂) I'm more than happy with their service tho. Anything that I can't fix myself, I'll bring it in to these guys. Suggest them for all your car fixes!

Quality service! Henry and the guys at Muffler Man were able to help me out same day for an issue with my exhaust system. Dealership wanted to charge me close to $1700 and the team at Muffler Man had me in and out in an hour and for $290! Avoid this place at all costs. I took my Focus RS to get the stock muffler welded back on. Wouldn’t give me a price of how much the work would cost or an average at least. They told me they would call me when the work was done. When I got there 4hr and 30min later he didn’t do any work and told me when he called it was to authorize the work to be done(I was busy and could not get to the phone.) On top of that he wanted $400 to get my muffler welded back on, ridiculous pricing. I came home and washed my car and saw damage on my driver side front on end(before and after pics included)I wasn’t planning on leaving a bad review but that crossed the line. Literally do not take your car here, they WILL NOT take care of you. They were recommended by some friends who had their cars worked on before by them and knew of Sam the owner so I had some trust they would do good work but ended up extremely disappointed.

I went to muffler man on Thursday October 16th because my son’s car was kind of loud and we noticed an exhaust pipe under the car had started to come apart. I took it in and they told me it was a bad resonator and they could fix it in about an hour. I told them to go ahead and make the repair and I’d wait for it, they started the work and about 30 minutes later said “you’re all set”. The car sounds great and the price was fair and the staff was friendly. I would recommend them based off of my experience with them.

Honestly, not happy. Went here twice. The first time, my exhaust was cracked and I needed a new resonator. They replaced my OEM resonator with a smaller one and of less quality, so now my car sounds like a table saw. It’s so insanely raspy. Figured I’d give Muffler Man a second try, and I supplied the brand new muffler that I wanted put on my car. Correct inlet and outlet diameter, correct muffler for my car. I was charged $400 for the install. Me personally, I can’t go back to a place that does $400 muffler installs, and gives me a lesser quality resonator that sounds like dog doodoo.

Honestly, it has been such a blessing to find this place. Other places have tried to scam me or get me to spend so much money, but Sam has always been honest and helpful. I initially came here for a muffler replacement, but I've been coming here for around 2 years now and this establishment is very professional and consistent. My car is older so it has lots of issues here and there, but they are always able to diagnose it when I drop it off and call me with what they find. Sam is really knowledgeable!! I've had to get alignment done, new tires, muffler & tail pipe replacement, sway bar links, tune up, and other smaller things done. I have never had an issue with any of these repairs since I've gotten them done. Once he fixes it, its fixed. Like I said my car is older so I come here a lot more than the average person should, but trust that Sam and his team can take care of any needs you have. They are the only place I go to and the price is very reasonable. Trust.

Nice place friendly staff they relocated my my muffler and exhaust system at a reasonable price. I do question the welds a little bit, as they only might welded the muffler mainly using spot welds. They do need to soften their approach to customers. I knew exactly what I was asking for, but for someone like my daughter, nephew, or wife, they seems very intimidating and like to rush customer decisions a bit too quickly. When you come.in, make sure you SLOW THEM DOWN WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR OPTIONS. The staff really want to help, but may not be aware of how they come off. It's more up to the customer to lead. Lead, but use your soft power and avoid being too assertive with your needs. It goes long way. I would rate higher, but it's the personality issues of this particular location that needs this kind of restructure. I can't speak to other locations. They are good, just come with some knowledge about mufflers 1st before hand.

Sam has earned my trust and business. We originally brought a car in for an exhaust leak. After diagnosing the issue, Sam told us the flex pipe needed to be replaced. After we were quoted a price, we told him we would like to wait until after tax season to fix it, he offered a discount to us to help us out. A few days after picking up the car, it was sluggish and whistled during acceleration. It eventually started misfiring and threw a code. I didn't think it was related to the exhaust fix, so I changed the spark plugs and coil packs to see if it would solve the issue. This fixed the misfire, but didn't solve the whistle or acceleration issues, so we took it to another shop to see if it was an engine issue. They told us there was a leak where the new flex pipe was installed, but then also said that the entire exhaust system from the manifold back needed to be replaced. Before agreeing to any work, I called Sam back and explained the situation. He was very understanding and told us to refuse service and to bring it back to him for diagnosis. He voiced that mistakes can happen and that they would repair it, free of charge, if it was related to something they worked on. After looking at it, he found metal shavings that had clogged the catalytic converter. Whether this was from the original part being damaged or from the installation of the new part doesn't matter to me because Sam was honest with me. He honored his word and replaced the converter for us, free of charge. It's been over a week and we haven't had any issues with the car anymore. It's hard to find a shop that is willing to admit that mistakes can happen. It's even harder to find one that will own up to it and fix the mistake. For that simple reason, I will be returning to Sam and his shop for any addition repairs that I or my family might need in the future. Thanks for being trustworthy Sam!
