Had an emergency breakdown around the Holidays and I am glad we came across Minter's. The guys were amazingly friendly and accommodating. We were traveling with two dogs, luggage, and bags of Christmas gifts. They allowed us to use their office space as storage for our things while we sorted out another ride. Even with the Holiday, repair work was done quickly and at a fair price. For being in a pinch, we really lucked out in finding Minter's. I highly recommend!

Absolutely love Minters, I bought a car that's known to be a transmission nightmare, because I loved it. I've only ever brought my car to Minters, bc they used to be solely a transmission shop. They've always been extremely honest, and very pleasant to work with over the past 4 years. I don't trust any mechanics except for these guys and Agron over at A-1 Auto. I always recommend them on FB bc you really don't find a lot of honest mechanics anymore. They're also fair priced, and let you bring your own parts. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

These guys completed two reasonably priced mid-level repairs on my older Mazda pickup in 2015. They scheduled an appointment quickly and finished the job within 48 hours both times. Kenny was responsive and communicated often as the repairs were made. The no-frills appearance and location is reassurance that I'm not paying for marketing, uniforms, overhead, or a view of W. Main St. in addition to repairs on my vehicle.

I had my car towed to Minter's Auto, based on google reviews, when it broke down driving near Charlottesville. The owner Jimmy was professional, began working on my vehicle immediately, and charged a very fair amount for his work. He had several opportunities to take advantage, but showed tremendous integrity even with my being from out of town. Super impressed with this shop. Don't let the curb appeal turn you away :).

This place was very insightful. They were able to give me a solid and fair quote for what was originally needing to be fixed. When they found a big risk, I was able to get a call from them and work through what was wrong and still get it fixed. They put in solid work and did it right the first time. 👍 Had a great experience. They were able to find an aftermarket part for my car and were very conscientious in making sure that the correct part was ordered. When the part arrived, I was contacted to bring my car in for repair. The repair was made and completed on the same day that the appointment was confirmed. I’d give them zero stars if I could. First off, the guy couldn’t remember anything I explained about my car and what I needed after 2 separate phone discussions. I couldn’t believe the total lack of basic customer service. I let it go, didn’t complain or get upset. Then. They charged me $325 to replace and clean out my air filter (20 minutes AT MOST) and take out/put in a new battery that I brought to them (so NOT the cost of the actual battery) Those two actions and a $16 air filter. That’s it. $325 plus tax. Came to $350 basically. Total rip off I couldn’t believe it. I even told the owner at the start I planned bring my 2 vehicles there from now on and soon would be getting a lot of work done and he still chose to over charge me. Don’t go here. They will rip you off big time.

I’ve been a returning customer for couple of years now and I can tell you that Minters is the best in town. Amazing service and great prices. They went above and beyond helping me to pass the state inspection and fixing all the problems I had with my car. They even inspected the car for me and offered a ride to and from home. Jimmy found some other small issues with the car and fixed it free of charge. Really hones and great team. I can’t be more happy with them. It’s so hard to find a good mechanic that know what his doing and is not trying to rip you off. I wish this business great success in the future and many more customers. Thank you for your help.

I wanted to keep pushing but it only gave me 5 stars and Minter’s deserves way more than that!! I can’t say enough good things about this place! I got Bubba to do some engine work for me and can I say AWESOME! He called me EVERY step of the way keeping me informed of any and all issues. I got other quotes and the price that Bubba gave me was extremely reasonable for all that he did. I told him I have FINALLY found me a mechanic!! Bubba is nothing but honest, knowledgeable and genuine and I will be taking my truck there for all my future repair needs. Give them a call you will not be sorry.

Awsome service and faster than more places out there. Jimmy was great and confirmed the issue on my transmission that was going bad. I will definitely go back to have a transmission installed. Very reasonable on the price with parts that I had already purchased to see if that would help, but like I said, my transmission was on its way out. It was definitely worth a try.
