Never having serviced a car in Newport News I called a few places before Moore's and everyone was backed up. And they were all pretty short with me. When I called Moore's they were booked up for a week too. But the owner took time to talk me through my car's symptoms. It’s been 7 years and we still take our vehicles to Moore’s. If I could give 6 ⭐️ I would. State inspections are currently not available. If you are in need of affordable, timely & professional automotive services? I recommend Moore’s Auto Repair in Newport News. Services are done in a timely manner and right the first time. We have no plans on taking our vehicles anywhere else. It’s a hidden gem in plain sight. I am “so” thankful Moore’s Auto Repair was recommended to us🙏🏽.

My first visit was a pleasant surprise. I had heard great things about their honesty and fair prices, and I was not disappointed. I had been advised by a “reputable” shop after checking my battery that my car needed an alternator. Eeks! That’s EXPENSIVE. So the car sat for at least 9 months as I figured out the finance. Then I was informed about Moore’s. After calling and talking with STEVE he suggested I use my AAA membership and have it towed to him. 2 hours later, Steve calls to say I never needed an alternator instead I needed a battery!!!! $$$$ cheaper! Steve installed the new battery, and it has been running smoothly ever since. I am so glad that I decided to take my car to Moore’s instead of the other mechanic. They are not only honest and fair, but they also have a great team of mechanics who are knowledgeable and skilled.
