In all honesty, I waffled between 4 and 5 stars for this review. The folks at Moss Alley got me scheduled for an appointment and were prompt and professional over the phone and in the office. I considered only giving four stars because, as a transplant to Seattle, I will never get used to not being responded to with enthusiasm and a smile. Since that’s a personal preference (and because if I expect any group of humans to not meet me with a jolly “how’s it going?” at 8 AM it’s mechanics) I’d say they deserve all five. That being said, folks should be aware that this mechanic does not do standard plugs for tire repair so don’t arrive expecting the more typical $25-40 for a fix. Time will tell if the patch holds up, but I’m not worried. Thanks, Moss Alley, for making time for my car today and getting my Subaru, Sally, back in good shape!

Moss Alley is the best garage! They have a friendly staff, excellent mechanics, and prompt service. I've been taking in my Toyota there for years, and they never disappoint. Accurate and competitive estimates and costs. They find the issues, fix them, and send you on your way. 5 stars!

Really great shop that is easy to work with. Very happy with everything they've done for me and my weird almost 20-year old car.

Moss Ally Motors are great! As a long time customer, they continue to live up to their reputation of honesty, integrity, and excellent attention to their work. When I called AAA last week, the dispatcher said, "Oh, we're towing your car to Moss Alley Motors? Excellent choice." This time, their tenacity to hunt down an obscure dashboard "D" light for my 2003 Odyssey was admirable. I am happy to spend my auto repair funds on you, Moss Alley, definitely.

I rate them 'one kabillion'.... fabulous people to deal with... HONEST... and my old old old car drives like a dream. And everything was on time. 'Services I got': Complete overhaul of a tired OLD car.

Always a great experience coming here. I’ve brought them three cars over the last ten years, and I’ve always left happy. Honest assessments, reasonable prices, and it’s local. What’s not to love?

Convieient, friendly, and affordable! Normally pretty on guard when going to mechanic shops, this one I felt immediately at ease. They were prompt and honest about my car! Repairs were pretty quick and the rates were super fair. After this one experience I can't imagine going anywhere else

Friendly, efficient and quite fast. The shop seemed somewhat intimidated by drum brake service, as they are seeing less and less of that brake type. They do not turn brake disc rotors or drums, only replace them if needed (not uncommon among shops these days). I requested that a faulty air valve stem be replaced on one wheel rim, since the wheels would already be off for brake service. They wanted $90 (0.5 hours) for that service (bare bones wheel/no sensors & a $2.50-3.00 part), which seemed excessive. Never the less, I would still use their services again.

Only got my car diagnosed with no actual work done, but everyone was beyond friendly, everything was explained thoroughly and fairly, and diagnosis was completed quickly. Would take my car back in a heartbeat.

Would not recommend! The lady at the front desk is very hostile on the phone. I had already provided the diagnostic codes but was charged $300 for them to only test drive my car and quote me an entire new transmission for $10k with zero documentation. Zero due diligence and a waste of my time. The second opinion I got replaced a single part for less than $500 and my car has never been better.

Pleasant enough but they charged me for refrigerant and dye and told me I had a condenser leak. When I picked the car up the air was not at all cold like it should have been with new freon. Took the car for a 2nd opinion said they saw no dye at all - noted the floppy, un-pressurized hose and confirmed that that wasn’t consistent with a Freon charge the day before - they charged it and I had cold air upon driving away. I may have a condenser leak but I don’t feel I should have been charged for a full amount of Freon and a call to moss valley after the fact was wholly unproductive. The price quote for the condenser replacement was also quite high.

Tank!!! Tank is a very good shop dog, but unfortunately, he does not have opposable thumbs. Happily, the good folks at Moss Alley do, and they are keeping my 12-year-old Subaru in top shape.

I trust this team with my firstborn! I’ve been going to them for a long time. They consistently come through. They help me save money by safely letting me know what things I can hold off on when repairs are needed. They do that by understanding my driving style and usage, and by giving me options. It’s like having an analytical team on your side. Moss Alley never makes it sound like everything must be repaired at once. I don’t need my old, beat-up vehicle to be new again. I need it to work for me. Moss Alley makes that happen. May they live for a thousand years. Unlocked Hidden Bonus: I get film and show recommendations from Kendra and Donovan. I always leave with new entertainment “homework” after each maintenance visit. It's a hidden talent they have.

Easily able to book a time to drop off my car ahead of time; quick turnaround for a diagnosis, getting the part in hand, and having the repair taken care of; completely transparent and proactive communication from start to finish; and reasonable price for labor and parts. When researching a local shop, I saw multiple people state they’ve been coming to Moss for 20+ years. While in the office, I overheard the employees mention a customer who’s been coming to them for over 30. And after my first visit, I see exactly why. I really appreciated not being given the run around, and that Kendra actually answered all of my questions and educated me on what was happening. I’ll absolutely be back again for big issues and for general maintenance (it’s priced better than the chains!). Thank you, Moss Alley!

The shop accurately diagnosed my crankshaft position sensor issue for my Volvo and completed the repair efficiently and professionally. Pricing was reasonable with no unexpected charges. The team was friendly, transparent, and great to work with. Highly recommend.
