beyond awful service and there attempt to make the situation better was nothing short of a literal comedic joke. if youre thinking of buying a mazda from this dealer, i would HIGHLY recommend you go to a different dealer ship and just ask to get the car transferred to that dealership because these people are a JOKE...update on this review, they commented that they were going to alert their management team (wich they did not) like thats going to resolve some kind of issue? this place is the literal definition of a circus

The experience was horrible, Maria was the sales rep and when we mentioned that the car had some cosmetic damages her mood immediately changed, as she was not interested in selling. She got defensive and we decided to leave. We decided to come to this dealership because it has good reviews, perhaps the other reps are professionals and respectful but do not work with Maria.

I’m so happy with my new Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition! It truly feels like a luxury car. Bought a used car here. I had researched it for awhile. I found the staff to be mostly rude and everything was rushed. The previous service records are printed so small I had to use a magnifying glass just to read them! I wasn’t impressed at all with the staff and I regret my purchase now. A real mechanic will be going over the car since that is not allowed before purchase! I should have walked away! They also promised to repair something that wasn’t in the listing of the car and we are now ghosted….no response!

Brought my car in for regular maintenance; approved all recommended extra work. Didn’t get a notification when my car was ready, and no one came to get me from the waiting area. Before I was even out of the parking lot I noticed a new and jarring sound coming from the vicinity of my front suspension. Came back the next day to say “hey, you guys did work yesterday, and immediately there’s a new, awful clanking noise. Can someone take a look?” No. No one could. Service advisor and tech from the day before weren’t there, so the best they could offer was an appointment for the following week for a $189 diagnostic, since they didn’t touch anything in the vicinity of my new concern. (When I pointed out that I’d had a tire rotation and a repair to the wheel the noise was coming from, the service advisor confidently informed me I had not. So now I’m genuinely curious if the services I paid for were actually performed?) Took the car to a friend’s mechanic who immediately diagnosed the issue: a caliper hanger that had been left attached. It’s not even the mistake; mistakes happen, and this one turned out to be relatively low stakes. It’s the attitude and lack of care or concern. Five minutes and an ounce of concern would have ensured I’d be back in 5,000 miles for my next service; instead I’ll be a customer for life of the guy who found the issue, and my next car won’t come from Napleton.

DON’T GO HERE. My husband took our 1 year old 2024 new Mazda into this dealership for an oil change. We’ve taken great care of our Mazda and always go to Mazda for any services needed to ensure our car is handled by professionals and ones who know Mazdas the best. On my husbands way home from the oil change, the car broke down on the highway with a huge amount of smoke coming out of the tail pipe. He was in the left lane and had to pull off on the left side of the highway on I-88 east when it was dark and raining. He waited an hour until he was able to get towed back to the dealership. The dealership inspected it and admitted they over filled the oil in the engine, which caused the car to break down. In the event this may have caused long term engine damage, we requested that they simply extend our engine warranty with roadside assistance. The general manager refused to provide this and all he would offer was 3 years of free oil changes. I drive this car often in the evening, and as a woman, I’m upset and hesitant to trust my car now. Knowing it could potentially break down without warning - through no fault of my own - and without reliable roadside assistance makes me feel unsafe. It’s not that hard to do the right thing, and based on similar reviews below, it doesn’t seem like this Mazda location really cares for its customers or their concerns.

I was baited into coming to Napleton to sell my car by a barrage of emails, texts, and calls after I filled out an online contact form. They were “very interested” and working on a formal offer. When I arrived, after driving 45 minutes specifically to come to this dealership, I was told they wouldn’t even offer me anything for my vehicle, they would just junk it. Which is insane because it is a 2013 VW Passat in really good condition. Took it to Carvana and it was sold immediately for a great price. Don’t waste your time trying to sell your car here.

Was in the process of looking for a new car and Mazda stumbled into my algorithm. Took a look and of the other brands I decided on a Mazda3 Carbon. Tough car to find on lot but lucked out and after going through the approval and before picking my deal looked and saw the vehicle was at a sister dealership. Sent a message if vehicle can be brought down. Next day receive call text and email from Cynthia(she’s a sweetheart) that the car I looked at was still in transit…but they received the same vehicle from a different dealer that’s not on the site would I be interested. I told them absolutely if you can get it to Naperville. Next day car is in process of being moved and since I had previously shown interest they asked if I wanted to place deposit. During this time I had 2 other deals in limbo one with the competitor dealership they actually received the car from and my local Mazda. Both kinda didn’t want to deal on a car in transit and just asked if I wanted to deposit to hold the car then deal. I called Cynthia back and verified a few details and time frames she sent those to the manager Brittany(another sweetheart) got all the details hammered out without wasting time standing in the dealership. Sales pack handed off to Adam who reached out to confirm when I’d come in. Showed up and for the most part deal was done. Aside from the 1 1/2 hours before signing. Signed and drove home. They stood by the numbers and because of that everyone that played apart in the purchase from Cynthia to Brittany, Adam to Tonie and Anthony were all solid. Sometimes doing the lifting makes their job easier which makes it more an enjoyable experience. Much appreciated.

Unfortunately, my last visit left a very negative impression. I came in for a regular oil change, but the job was done carelessly. I usually double-check everything under the hood after service — and this time I was right to do so. The decorative engine cover had several oil drops on it. I asked them to wipe it clean. They took the car for about five minutes and returned it. When I removed the engine cover myself, I found that everything around the oil filler cap was covered in oil. I decided not to argue anymore — at that point, I already knew I’d never come back. When I got home, I cleaned everything properly. The next day, I noticed oil drops under the car. After looking underneath, I saw that the service cover for the oil filter was hanging loose on one bolt and oil drain plug has oil drops on it. On top of that, the washer under the drain plug was crushed — clearly, they had used an impact driver to tighten it. Very poor workmanship and complete lack of attention to detail. I will never return to this service center again, even though my car is still under warranty and they’re located conveniently close.
