I'd never been to Norris Tire. A good friend of mine has been going there for years. I had a tire going flat & Norris is near where I was working. A coworker suggested them, also. It was a Monday morning, around 8:30am. They were able to check my tire within about an hour. Unfortunately, it couldn't be repaired, but I was able to get a new tire put on my car right then. (I actually put 2 new tires on the front to keep them the same.) Tires are not cheap (is anything??), but I was very grateful that they could take care of my tire needs as a walk-in on a Monday morning in a timely manner. Good customer service, also. Very understanding & courteous. I would certainly recommend their service. 6/30/25

My first visit to Norris was smooth, and I left thinking I'd found a dependable place. That impression didn’t last long. Each visit after that has been increasingly disappointing. The front desk staff — especially the women working reception — come across as indifferent at best, and downright dismissive at worst. It’s as if basic courtesy is too much to ask. Today was a breaking point. I waited nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes for a routine oil change. When I finally asked what was going on, I was told — without so much as a sorry — that it would be another half hour. All around me, people who had just walked in were being helped, their cars serviced and returned, while mine sat untouched. The staff seemed busy calling one customer after another to let them know their cars were ready — just not mine. The place is clearly poorly managed. And it’s not just inefficient — it’s disrespectful. I’ve since checked and noticed plenty of reviews echoing this same experience. They seem to get high ratings mostly from first-time customers — which makes sense, since they appear to save their good behavior for newcomers. A two-hour wait for an oil change is absurd. The lack of accountability and courtesy makes it worse. Skip Norris. You can do better — literally anywhere else.

My visit was mostly neutral, not good and not too terribly bad. But I will probably never use this establishment for any future needs. I had called and asked pricing for a repair and was quoted an amount, I then asked to bring my car in and drop it off for that estimate. I had spoken with Laura. When I arrived at the facility, Laura was the first person who greeted me. I told her I had just spoken with her on the phone and was here or drop my car off. She then stated she did not speak with me. I was confused as I just got off the phone with her. I explained it again. Then she remembered. She then stated I would be charged $100 diagnostic fee. That was not told to me on the phone previously. received some strange looks from her and the other person at the front desk. They stated they would work it out. Then another person appears. It took three staff members to understand what I was needing. I dropped my keys off and waited for the call with the estimate. I was texted the next day. I then called in and the amount was quoted and I explained I would come in and pick up my vehicle without them doing the repairs. The hole visit seemed very disorganized and a complete cluster. Kinda like no one knew what they were doing. After it taking 3 individuals to figure out an issue. Again, I will most likely never use this establishment for any future services.

I used Norris because I had a bad battery. They checked everything out to identify what the problem was and didn't try to sell me a product I didn't need. I use Norris Tire for all my maintenance and find them to be honest and fair.

I made an appointment for a tire replacement but arrived late due to a doctor’s appointment. When I arrived, the front desk gentleman told me they could still complete it by 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. at the latest. I clearly explained that I needed the van by 3 p.m., and if he thought that wouldn’t be possible, I’d be happy to reschedule and bring it back on a different day. He assured me it would be done by 3 p.m. As 3 p.m. approached, I called to check on the status and was told the work wasn’t finished. He said it's because I had missed my original appointment time. I didn’t appreciate being blamed for something that was no longer relevant, since we had already agreed on a new completion time of 2–3 p.m. It would have been much better if he had simply acknowledged the delay rather than blaming the customer. I completely understand that delays happen, but I value clear and respectful communication. In the end, I didn’t argue — I just smiled, picked up my vehicle, and took it elsewhere. I’m sharing this feedback not out of frustration, but in hopes it helps improve how future scheduling and communication are handled.

Avoid. Unskilled. Dishonest. Rude. This shop under supervision of mechanic Danny allowed a rookie mechanic to attempt to change the front differential fluid on my 2013 Cadillac Escalade. I brought the vehicle in. I warned the shop that the front diff fill plug was slightly rounded and had been assembled with loctite, in accordance with Cadillac service instructions. The shop ignored my warning and instructions. Danny assigned the job to a rookie mechanic who attempted to remove the fill plug while it was cold. The rookie stripped the fill plug bolt. Then Danny showed me and stated that the bolt was "like that". This was a lie. I confronted the supervising mechanic and the rookie. The rookie stated he had not applied heat. The differential was cold. I told them there was no way that bolt would come out cold. The cadillac service manual states this clearly. The shop was unable to find a replacement bolt. I expected them to get a new bolt and install it later. The shop refused to pay for the bew bolt to replace the one it ruined. Mechanic Danny said, "this is not a Cadillac dealer". And "I'm not paying for that bolt" Do not take a job that you cannot do with excellence! If you do take that job, be humble and correct the stuff you break. Business 101. I have been taking vehicles here for a few years, because they were good mechanics, and I trusted them to do the right thing be honest. Now both those are broken. Broken trust. Unskilled work.

Put tires on my son’s car 12-15-25 after a snowstorm. Very busy Monday caused delays throughout the day but in the end Norris Automotive went above and beyond making sure we were completely satisfied which we were. Highly recommend Norris and their caring and professional team.

Work was done well to replace 4 tires, however when I returned home and looked at my bill I noticed the reason it was ~$200 higher than I anticipated was due to them putting on the wrong tire. This is both my fault for not noticing during checkout, but also theirs for at some point during the work having a miscommunication issue on what I asked for. I’ve tried to reach out over email and text regarding this mix up but haven’t heard anything. Do fine work but watch out for communication issues. Update: Norris did reach out to fix the issue and bring the price down to the original quote. I appreciate the transparency and response

Stuck 11 hours from home on a road trip on a Saturday with 2 messed up tires. The team at the shop worked to find 2 tires that would work to get me home. Because of course the ones we needed wouldn’t be available till Monday and we needed to be on the road Sunday. Great job, great people and good prices.

My new car’s tires have been a magnet for nails/bolts apparently, so unfortunately I’ve been here a lot within the last year or so. Consistently good experience each time and usually able to get in with a same day appointment with some flexibility on my end, if not then the next day. Haven’t had to wait too long when coming in for an appointment either, so as far as I’m concerned I can’t ask for more!

I thought Norris Tire & Auto was just for tires, but they do SO much more. . . .and in my case, in less than 5 minutes and for FREE!!! (Apparently, my windshield washer fluid hose got severed several years ago and someone patched it using a rubber hose to hold the two broken pieces together. This solution worked great for years because until a week ago I knew nothing about it. However, over time the rubber hose patch apparently hardened so it could no longer grip the two broken pieces to hold them together against the windshield washer fluid pressure because one of the broken pieces started coming out of the rubber hose patch whenever I tried to spray my windshield. In less than 5 minutes, Norris Tire & Auto replaced this worn-out rubber hose patch for FREE!!! My husband and I have been needing to find a new go-to place in Champaign for auto repairs because our previously favorite shop has become SO busy that their ability to fix our cars when needed has become increasingly delayed till finally my husband said "No more"! Now I'm convinced Norris Tire & Auto can be our new auto repair home — especially since they offer a free oil change the entirety of one's birthday month (no strings attached!), plus they'll match ANYONE's pricing for comparable tires (even Costco!). I'm SO impressed and thankful that Norris Tire & Auto also happen to be located super close to our home— wow, wow, WOW and THANK YOU!!

Thanks for the quick service! Great job! I got 2 front tires, they diagnosed my check engine light, reset my sensor that shows which tire is which, and put on new wipers for under $400. I think that’s a good deal. Plus, Becky at the front desk is delightful.

My son's car was having a few issues and we live 2 hours away from his school. They were able to get the car in quickly and had completed after 1 day. They are quick, decently priced, and courteous.

Norris Tire is the best! Becky greets me by name the moment I walk in the door, which already sets them apart. I bring both my personal vehicles and my work fleet here, and they handle everything with speed and reliability. From basics like oil changes and tire rotations (always at the best price in town) to competitive tire sales and even advanced repairs, they’ve proven capable across the board. What I appreciate most is their honesty. They’re always upfront—no games, no upselling, no nonsense. Just solid, dependable service at a fair price. Norris Tire has earned my complete trust, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I am a returning client and have always enjoyed my experience, service and price from Norris Tire. The ladies at the front desk were excellent and helpful. The price I was quoted was less than what I had to pay, not sure why. My only suggestion to make the experience better is the tires/rims should be washed or wiped off before returning the client's car. Mine were terribly dirty with the tire sealer all over the tires and rims.

I now understand why everyone in the Champaign/Urbana area recommend this place for car service. They did a wonderful job with regard to wait time and overall service. The seating area is comfortable and the prices are extremely fair.

I ended up waiting at Norris Tire longer than their usual service time, and without me asking, they completely took care of my bill. Not because they had to, and not because I requested it, but because that’s simply their standard. I was truly impressed by their integrity and customer care. I gave them a 5-star rating, not because they covered my bill, but because I had the opportunity to observe how they operate. I listened to how the employees spoke to one another, how they treated their customers, and how they answered the phone. The professionalism, respect, and consistency in every interaction truly stood out to me.
