I have been taking my car here for the last 4 years and I have never been more happy with a car mechanic! Phil takes THE best care of my car and has always been very professional, on time, and never tries to trick me into anything. I have had several problems with my car before and he takes his time to make sure the work he has done was done right. The pricing for his services are great too! I will never take my car anywhere else but omiya!

I've been 3 times, once for a major repair, another for a minor repair, and finally for an inspection. I can say is that this is BY FAR the most impressive shop I've been to. Somehow they've managed to be on time or earlier than any other shop I've been to, along with communicating with me honestly about my repairs and helping me go over options. I don't know how they are so efficient with the high volume of business they have but it's phenomenal. I can say Phil is an awesome guy who will go the extra mile! I am personally a car enthusiast and have been to many mechanics, this place has all my future business from now on. I'll gladly drive 35 minutes there and back to get my car worked on by Omiya Motors. Thanks for the hard work!

I am extremely glad to have found this shop and have been doing business with them for 3+ years now after I had moved to this area. Phil and the rest of the team are super knowledgeable, hard working, and above all else, super honest. I have brought all of my cars here which include domestic cars (Mustang and Corvette) and euro cars (F Type R) and have always had great experiences. In total I have had close to a dozen various installs and have never had any complaints about their work! The team is also great at advising me whenever I had some questions about a particular build which shows they are willing to go the extra mile. One of my favorite visits was when the team helped me fit some 305mm rears to an already lowered S197 Mustang. All of us were worried about it rubbing but they did such a good job with the install that I am happy to report that 5k miles later after a year of hard launches that the fit remains perfect! TL;DR: If you are a car enthusiast, definitely check these guys out even if you have a (commonish) domestic car. If you are a non car enthusiast, then check these guys out because they have overall excellent service!

Was recommended here from another auto shop as I had an issue that a lot of other places weren't willing to fix (turbo on a Chevy). They were fast, communicative, and remembered me when I called and when I showed up to pick up the car! Very nice staff, will continue to use in the future

Phil is probably the most honest, friendly, and knowledgeable mechanic I’ve ever met. He seems to have found his passion and cares for your vehicle as if it was his own. On top of that, his pricing is good and quality of work (attention to detail, not skipping steps in the process, etc.) is outstanding. Would highly recommend, especially for enthusiasts!

Phil is the best of the best. He truly has so much knowledge, works quickly, and made a special exception to see my car on a weekend. I will be returning for all my Honda needs. Not often you find honest, exceptional work like what Phil provides. Cannot recommend enough.

I first took my 2019 Veloster N to Omiya for a downpipe install. He got the job done in one day, and gave me a great price. Other shops were telling me it would take two to three days and quoted me $2000 for the same job. After my first experience was so good, I recently took it back due to a damaged oil pan. I had ordered the wrong replacement oil pan, but the guys at Omiya were able to weld my old one back together and now I have no leaks! I have never had a mechanic who's work I have been so confident in. Phil at Omiya is the best and most honest mechanic around.

Reasonable pricing for excellent service! They did a careful job installing my new wheels and tires. They even went out of their way to package my old wheels to not damage and dirty the interior.

Great experience here. Being a woman, mechanics will sometimes try to pull the wool over your eyes. Not here. He's an honest mechanic. Explained the problem to me in detail along with showing me photos. Very reasonable price too. Priced well below other repair shops in the area. Highly recommended. I'll return in the future if and when another problem arises.

One of the best mechanic shop in Raleigh! The owner Phil has been great to us and our vehicles. We take all of our vehicles here for repair/maintenance. Omiya also carries Motul. Update: Phil is still the man and we use Omiya for all of our vehicles

I have been here 3-4 times so far for my crv and civic thru a coworker's recommendation. They diagnose issues well and give honest recommendations and prices are reasonable. Glad to have found a local auto shop that I can trust and not worry about what the dealership is going to charge me for things I don't know if I really need or not. Thank you

Phil is one of the nicest guys i’ve gotten to know over the years. I’ve had my car for 2.5 years and anything i can’t do, i take to him. this is the only shop that has touched my car for any maintenance needs, small or big. He treats your car as if it’s his own, His prices are always fair and he doesn’t try to get you to spend money you don’t have to spend. I refuse to take my car to ANYONE else and i recommend him to anyone who asks me who does my work. if i could go higher than 5 stars I would.

Fair prices and mechanics are highly knowledgeable. I have a modded Subaru. Went for balancing and alignment after I installed some suspension parts and Phil knew exactly what brand and product I installed and how to work with them. Most other shops will decline to work on this or charge extra. Took a little longer than i expected, but I can tell they’re super busy. Highly recommend. And make an appointment for service ahead of time since they’re appointment only.

Phil is my man when it comes to quick diagnosis of all auto problems I encountered during the last 8 year period . Since then I recommended his services to a few friends and all of them were quite happy to get his services whenever they need it most.

Omiya knows their cars! It was a breath of fresh air, for first time in my life as a woman, my thought on what may be wrong wasnt brushed off with either me being a dumb woman or not worth listening too bc inspection required. In fact, Omiya knows suabrus so well, the owner knew the common issue and ordered the likely part in advance, saving us both time. I know maybe not possible w larger issues, but to be heard, was so kind and I am grateful for that part of the repair process too!

I hope I can rate this auto store with a negative score if it's possible. I had the worst experience with their young mechanician (since I started to drive a car) recently. I was stopping by for my care annual inspection, and was told my car couldn't pass the inspection bc of the stop light was off (which was fair and was just so easily to be fixed), and the other issue that I was told by the mechanician was so called "steering fluid leaking", that both need to be repaired before he do the second inspection. Then I stopped by the other auto store to double check to make sure the diagnosis did by the young mechanician here was correct. To be surprised to me, the new mechanician from the other store told me there wasn't any leaking from my car steering fluid, the leaking what the young mechanician here observed was actually from oil instead of steering fluid which the cost of the repair usually would be several hundred dollars, then I start to feel the young mechanician here was trying to lie to me to "rob" me money, which was completely insane ! I will never go back this store again! They should feel shamed doing their business like this way ! I'm not sure what strategy the owner takes to make their rate here as high as 4.9, which i doubt they deserve this hight rate. Completely not recommend this store, try to avoid them in case you are "rob" by them.

Took me a while to finally decide leaving a review. I normally just ignore things like this, but I think people should know. It all started out great with Phil. I was impressed with the service and care for my vehicle. As I continued to return to have parts put on, it went downhill. Initially I got an upgraded water cooler installed on my car and he did great. I then got up-pipes put on and those bolts fell off resulting in an exhaust leak. When I took it to the muffler shop, they said all the bolts were loose. After a while, I brought my car in to have an LSD installed with a rear sway bar. He put the sway bar on upside down and when he installed the LSD, one of my axles was leaking diff fluid on the seal where it went into the LSD. So, he had to re-do that. Afterwards when he replaced it, he damaged the axle upon removal and then charged me for it. I told him I didn't think it was reasonable for me to pay for his mistake. Which is now the 3rd time something was messed up. His said to me, "Well, at least I told you about it instead of just putting it back in." What kind of response is that? Anyhow, I told him that I would pay for it as long as he helped reimburse me for future services. Mind you, separate issue but still an issue, I had a diff fluid smell in my car for weeks. I came to realize that somehow, diff fluid made its way on to the hood of my car and into the vents so that every time I turned on the A/C I smelled it. I had to get all that cleaned out and still had remnants of the smell. Another issue is that he installed new wheels/tires on my car and dropped my stock wheel on its face scratching it up. Didn't bother telling me and thought I didn't notice. Separately, I called him back asking to replace my front wheel bearing because I believed I had an issue from a tree branch I ran over. He quoted me a price which wasn't extremely high but slightly above average. The issue I had with that is, he wanted to charge me for doing an alignment when one was not needed and then said that he would remove that off the bill to compensate for the axle. I was a mechanic in the past, so I'm not easily fooled. An alignment is only needed when you mess with the toe or camber, none of which is touched when doing a wheel bearing. I did the bearing myself and didn't need an alignment. To add salt to my wounds, I found out before trying to sell my car that Carfax report had my car showing 29k miles when it was actually 23k miles. Somehow, he put in the mileage that I needed to come back for an oil change into the system so then Carfax was reporting incorrect odometer reading. Luckily, due to me catching it quickly, Carfax was able to fix it without issue. I don't have any other photos of my issues except the sway bar. Something as simple as a sway bar being done incorrectly should've been a red flag but I'm someone who likes to give people another chance and chalk up incompetence as a one-time mistake. You can even see in the photo where he damaged the sway bar on the left side. The paint was missing and rusting already resulting in a sway bar failure to whoever owns the car next. I should've recognized what I was getting then. It's too bad because I've had multiple people come to me asking where a good mechanic is and had Phil been honest and honorable the whole time, he could've made more business. Even if he ate the axle cost up front instead of trying to manipulate giving me discounts from falsifying work, he could've made a lot more money. Maybe it's only my luck that I get the lemons and everyone else gets lemonade.
