My husband and I live on Kauai. We were trying to decide whether or not to purchase a used car from a dealership in Honolulu. We needed someone to check it out for us and Bryan came highly recommended. We asked him to check it out and he was kind enough to accommodate us on very short notice. He was very professional, polite, thorough and, in the end, saved us from purchasing a vehicle with a massive oil leak that would have been VERY costly to repair. Seriously! If I could give Bryan more than 5 stars, I would. I really appreciate his honesty and candor and will absolutely send any business I possibly can to him in the future.

I’ve been going to Oscar’s Auto Repair for years, and they’ve always taken care of me like ʻohana. They’re quick to help with any of my car or truck needs, and the quality of their work is consistently solid. Prices are reasonable, service is reliable, and I always leave feeling taken care of. Highly recommend!

Can’t recommend this bough to NEVER go here. I had very loud noises coming from underneath my Honda CRV and took it there. After looking at it they quoted me $3200 to change the control arm, sway bars and struts. I take it home and find out the only problem was the bushings on the sway bar had disintegrated causes the sway bar the bounce against metal. Easiest fix cost me 40$ to do my self. They will definitely trip you off

This place is AMAZING, the service was the Best! Drive up early no appointment and had my Safety inspection completed in just a few minutes. My check engine light came on that morning after I left the lights on and it wouldn’t turn over but eventually started. I was super stressed, The guy checked the code and cleared it and i couldn’t convince him to at least take a tip for checking and clearing it, no charge he said. This type of service is hard to find now a days and truly I am so thankful for them. I should have gotten a name but to the gentleman with the long hair and mustache, Thank you! - Nina

After calling a few places, and actually going to one place before this (who I won't bother to mention), I thankfully found Oscar's. I needed an inspection done on my vehicle, and was only in town for the day and would leave in the afternoon. The guys at Oscar's were AWESOME! My inspection was a little bit difficult because I had to get a fail inspection and come back later to get reinspected because of DMV issues. Again, the guys at Oscar's were amazing! The inspection mechanic replaced a turn signal bulb for me. After I got done with DMV, and went back to Oscar's, they even put my new tags (license plates) on my truck and we're not going to even charge me for it! I gave them some cash and was very grateful for their generosity. Truly a wonderful place and the guys there were all friendly and attentive. They look busy in the mechanic bays—so they must be good at what they do mechanically. As far as my safety inspection? BEST experience I've had in my 42 years in Hawaii! Thank you to the guys at Oscar's... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

These guys are right on! Called yesterday and was told I can bring in my company van in today for a diagnostic test. Took it in, got a call back in less than 2 hours. I was told that I needed an oil change, thermostat change, air filter change, and they will double check fluids and they let me know brakes good and all else looks good. Got quoted price and was told that it would get done by the end of the day. Will definitely be bringing my company vehicle and personal vehicle here from now on. Mahalo Ethan!

This shop has great auto mechanics. When you pull up they’re willing to meet you and quickly ask what you need done. Inside their office are a ton of ASE certifications qualifying them on a various systems in a vehicle. Their speed is second to none and it’s all for a fair price. The lady before me got her tires rotated for free (she didn’t know what that meant) but the toyota service center charges 20$ for that. So i think it speaks volumes about pure integrity of these mechanics giving that service to that lady for free, because they saw a need (part of the scheduled maintenance) and included it to save her tires down the road due to uneven tread. Didn’t see a ton of reviews about Jay, but he is very professional and I look forward to coming here again to support this company and the every one working here. I will also add that they are busy, so it will help them out a ton if you pick up your car when it’s done.

I stopped them to get some break work and tires as well as my safety inspection and plan to make an appointment but it was pleasantly surprised when they said they could take it today. Bryan explained what needed to be done after a brief inspection and gave me lots of options. I was surprised they had a good price on the tires. That was happy I could get everything done and one visit. When the car was finished they showed me all the used parts and explained to me exactly what they did. I'm not used to that, normally you just pay the bill and hope they actually did the work. But not at Oscars, they showed me the parts that were removed and asked me if I wanted to keep them. Very happy to see how bad my brakes were and now I can drive safer vehicle. Great place to go if you need some work or friendly advice!
