Came in for an air conditioner diagnostic on my 2011 Honda crv, said the whole unit had to be replaced. Quoted $2300. Went to Honda dealership, it was just the clutch kit I needed. $800. Big savings Watch for the $200 warranty they add to your bill without any discussion Brutal. 😡

I first stopped here by coincidence- had an issue with my car that needed immediate attention and pulled in because they were first auto shop I saw. I was originally going to just ask them to find out what the issue was, and assumed I would be going somewhere else for the actual repairs because I thought their prices were going to be very steep... well, I was wrong about that- one of the issues with my car was actually under a recall(which I did not know) and they could’ve just charged me to fix it.. but instead they were completely honest and told me about the recall and that if I went to a dealership that they should fix the problem at no cost to me. I was so impressed with their honesty and fair pricing that I just took my mom’s car there also. We took her car to 3 different places to get estimates to fix it, and Pep Boys was by far the cheapest so we had the work done there and were impressed with how quickly they were able to order the part needed and repair the car. After both of these experiences and how wonderful all of the employees were (we mainly dealt with Chad and Brad and they were both amazing), we will be going back here anytime we need any work done. Thanks guys for the transparency and willingness to answer any questions we had throughout the entire process! The guys here do a great job and treat people with respect and don’t treat women like clueless idiots and will take the time to explain anything you ask them- I just wish I found this place sooner! Will absolutely come back! Thanks again!!

The price and services discussed over the phone did not match the services i paid for. I was charged an egregious amount for an oil change and ac fix and upon looking at my itemized receipt there were hundreds of extra dollars for services I was not aware of. I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience until today. I'm not sure what changed, but if you are a person that is worried about being overcharged take your business elsewhere.

I want to begin this review by stating that I am a lady, which adds a certain 'uphill battle' quality to visiting the mechanic. I will say that this location has to be the most honest, transparent, and respectful I have visited. My husband and I have been utilizing Store 1821 since we moved to Leesburg from Orlando in the Spring of 2022, and the staff/technicians have been outstanding. They do not 'fear monger' and they do take the time to thoroughly explain the what, why, and how. I am truly impressed and thankful. Rich is fantastic; get that man a raise! Seriously.

Updat: 10/22/'24. I visited this place again today, to get my daughter's brakes checked. They did a fantastic job and the final cost came in less than their estimate. I would highly recommend this place for anyone needing car work. On Wednesday September 4th 2024 I went to a car dealership to get repairs done to my daughter's car. After getting a outrageous estimate, I went down the street to this Pep Boys in Leesburg, on route 441. They did an incredible job for less than half the price that the dealer wanted. Pep boys even told me that some of the things that the dealer said we needed, We didn't need. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs car repairs. Their are more repairs that need to be done on my daughter's carbAnd I will definitely go to this place again to have them done. Thank you.

4/26/25 Whichever Pep boys Jordans go I go, so far he's been transferred to three Pep boys why do I do that, you might ask ? Because he is an honest employee, a real human that doesn't take advantage and looks out for his customers. I trust him and his previous manager David but if Jordan goes to another location I go to him. By the way .. There's not that many Jordans, he truly knows it all and he does it all. !!! YOU GUYS ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE HIM HE IS ONE OF A FEW OUT THERE ! Jordan is been working for you guys for about 8 years, and he is an amazing worker, you guys have no idea who you have there. You should spend your time learning everything he does for you guys he can work the front and when you short I. The back he goes and help in the back as well! Jordan has taken care of 4 family cars and continues to to take care of them. If he is transferred I go where he goes, because I truly trust him with my vehicles. I hope that Jordan someday is given a higher opportunity so many of your employees can learn from him.!

Elvis at the Leesburg location was absolutely fantastic! He handled all of my calls (there were many) and questions with professionalism, patience, and knowledge. He said he would beat the price of my (former) long-time auto shop to replace my whole A/C system and he did, and then it got even cheaper once the day came to do the work. The whole crew there was very friendly and upbeat. It got completed in half the time I expected and I am extremely satisfied with my overall experience and result. I have COLD a/c AGAIN!!

Great service and quality work. I usually know the tire I want before I walk thru the door but Elvis offered his suggestions and I listened. He got me a better tire and saved me money. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The mechanics made sure my wheel alignment was near perfect before they returned the truck. Great job guys! I had the worst experience with a pepboys down the street they couldn’t fix wind shield wipers or change a tire couldn’t even tell me what’s wrong I have a old amg Mercedes benz I know it’s a tuff car to work on but this pepboys was the best I’ve ever been to the professional but friendly they let me know play by play updates so I could figure out traveling to work the fixed my windshield wiper had a problem with Sam modular aka fuse box was broke got me 3 tires I needed for the cheapest price I could find online and even the brand of tire I wanted nexen ,the new manager there is awesome he’s st8 forward and let me know everything that was wrong with my car even the stuff I knew about not sure how to spell his name but “Jodi” your awesome there is new management So please if your thinking about going to this location your in good hands now

Took my vehicle to Pep Boys due to issues with it being slow to start. Was trying to get ahead of the issue before the car completed died. They called me the following day to let me know the issues was Emissions related. They said my car was “choking on its fumes” causing it to be slow to start and I needed two parts. The two parts with labor were $1,565.00. I let them know that was fine as long as the issue was fixed. I picked up my car the following day, which was a Friday. I paid and then as I was leaving the manager (who apparently is no longer there) said “call us if you have any issues, these things are not an exact science”. He did not sound confident that the issue had been fixed and at that point I was confused and worried because when he initially called me to tell me what the issue was, he never alluded to the fact that it still may not be fixed. After I left, my car had the same issues. Slow to start and completely stalling. I called back and was told to bring it back. When I arrived, I asked the manager if I should take my vehicle to the dealer. He said that I did not need to do that and that they were committed to fixing the problem and that they would not leave me hanging. They had a look and said there was a cracked hose that must have cracked when they were replacing the other parts and that it was fixed and should be fine. The next day, my car was having the same issues starting. I called back and was told to take it to another Pep Boys location. So, I did that, and my car was there for a couple days. They were unable to find the issue and recommend that I take my car to the dealer. I will say that they were very nice and kind and listened and tried to assist me. I have no issues with their service and appreciated their honesty in that they were not going to try to replace parts when they were not completely certain of the issue. My car is still having the issues, and I am out of the money that I paid them thinking it would be fixed. It would have been best for them to be honest with me up front and tell me they were not sure if that was the issues causing the slow start and allow me the option at that time if I wanted to take the chance to get those parts changed or take it to the dealer for a second opinion. I would have taken it to the dealer at that time, but I chose to put my trust in them, and I am highly disappointed not to mention out of $1,560.00. They could have done the right thing and at least refunded the diagnostic fee or something since they couldn’t find or fix the issue but offered no additional support and in fact left me hanging after they said they wouldn’t.

They were ready for me when I got there and took my truck right in. The manager was very personable and friendly. He even told me that my dog was welcome to come in the lobby (I was planning on just walking with him while they completed the installation of our new tires). Within a half hour, the job was finished and we had new tires and were out the door.
