First thing I noticed about this location was there was no line like I've encountered at other Pep Boys. Both dropping off and picking up was very quick. Randy was very courteous and helpful. Work was done in a prompt manner. All the things you want from a auto repair shop. UPDATE: Been two months since my last issue. Had to have my truck repaired again for a completely different issue than the first. There were noises that sounded like a pulley or belt coming from the engine. I made an appointment for the next day, Saturday. Had the truck there thinking since I had an appointment it would be out by that afternoon. Didn't hear anything until late that afternoon saying the harmonic balancer needed replacing and they would have to order the part which sounded strange with all the auto parts stores there are in this city. Monday I heard nothing. Tuesday I called and got put on hold and forgotten. Called back later and was told they had to order a special tool but truck was now being worked on. Wednesday afternoon truck was ready. Truck appeared to have been parked under a tree for there was bird droppings all over it. Plus there was grease smears on my door and the mirrors were maladjusted. Also for some reason unknown to me they had prowled around behind my seat. When my son came over to pick up the truck at my house we started it up and it is still making noises. I couldn't hear the noises when I picked the truck up due to being next to a busy street. Also I'm partially deaf but my son told me it still had noises. So as much as this place is convenient I'll not be using it again which is a shame.

I caught a flat in California. Last weekend. Manage to make my way to the store located in Redlands California. After waiting. 2 hours. I was told that my tire had a bubble in it, and although I had the warranty protection on it, it was still going to cost me $180.. I couldn't believe it!!! I told the girl there to just leave it, and I would go to "MY" pep boys. After wainting another hour, They charged me $0.25 to put my spare on, and I traveled home to Lv. I called and spoke with John (whom I normally deal with) and was told to bring the tire in, and let me just say, I'm beyond grateful and happy I did. He took great care of me and honored my protection plan as it should have been. No hassle, no up sales, no long wait or wasted time. Him and his crew are always pleasant and smiling. I trust them to always take care of my car, I literally pass up 3 other stores and drive 25 mins out of my way to get to their store, and I'll do it all the time for the peace of mind.. awesome crew!!! They always restore my faith in the company... Big Thank you guys!!!

They charged me 40.00 for a car inspection and I didn't receive a receipt😵💫makes you 🤔.Oh,The 💳 machine wasn't working either 🤣and told I could wait 30 minutes to see if it would work.I did go somewhere the next day e to get my other car inspected 20.00 and I received a receipt and it took less then 5 min☺️

Great place to get your vehicle repaired, I needed a complete rear window motor assembly to raise & lower my window. The service technician checked out this problem Cost $ 60.00 plus parts & labor & Tax, Total out the door Cost $ 620.15 I did receive a Veterans Discount. This repair was pretty speedy, but I was in and out in about 2 hours. Polite employees, clean rest room, TV in waiting area, coffee available for customers.

Made an appointment at the Pep Boys on 3510 N Rancho Dr. I noted that we had an error code P0301 which was a cylinder 1 misfire. We had changed the spark plugs, coils and used a fuel injector cleaner prior to our visit, to see if that would help. So we decided to have them do the diagnostic for $99 to pin point what was causing the error code. When we got the call, they said it was the spark plugs and coils. We told them that those were changed less than 2 months ago. We even tried switching coils and spark plugs, still kept getting Cylinder 1 misfire. They said we would need new spark plugs, wires and a fuel injector cleaning with the machine. They quoted us $857, we told him that we can do the spark plugs and coils ourselves. So we ended up paying almost $300, for the diagnostic test and fuel injector cleaning service. We then called the Pep Boys on Simmons and Ulysses explained the process of a diagnostic and how they do a fuel injector cleaning. He was very knowledgeable. When we asked if they found any other issues with the car, they said no we only got the code P0301, which is usually free. We asked if they checked for leaks or any of the other things they check with a paid service. He said No, there was no code. So I ended up paying $99 to get my code pulled and $149 plus change to get the injectors cleaned. Car still has engine light on, same code is there and still kind of sputters. Even though we replaced the spark plugs and coils when we got the car home. Left a message for the manager, but recieved no call back, ended up corporate and opened a case. We just want the services that we paid for to be.done correctly or a refund. Next call will be to the Better Buisness Burou. Horrible experience and that location was my got to spot. May have to try a different location next time, maybe Simmons.

DON'T COME HERE!! I took my work van to have tires and brakes done. I had to have the van towed back to the location because the brakes started making noise, and they found that one of the caliper bolts was not tightened. I returned a few days later because I had a squeak in the front end. They had me make an appointment for the next day, then took my van in the shop for less than a half hour, and told me they sprayed grease on the brakes to stop the squeak. The squeak returned later that day. I have now brought my van to a separate Pep Boys location, and they found a failed wheel bearing. This Pep Boys location on Rancho is not a reliable shop. Their poor work and disregard for their customers is flat out dangerous. DON'T GO TO THIS PEP BOYS.

The 3510 Rancho location is amazing. The staff is competent, they deliver when promised and the Manager (I think) John is a really nice hard working guy you wanna buy him a beer. This location may be smaller than the others but it's one of the best places I've been to for both my cars. 5 star recommendation!

Went there to get a second opinion on my front steering arms. Firestone on Craig St. Told me the steering arms were broken and quoted me $1890 to replace. John at Pep Boys said it was the bushing that needed to be replaced and not the steering arms themselves. He quoted me $1700 and said although you should have them done it doesn't have to be done right away. What a relief! So friendly and honest and quick. I will definitely be taking my car there for future repairs! Great service with a smile

PLEASE READ !!!! Do Not take your vehicle to this location no matter what!!! They have a tech that wanted to fight me because I asked on the phone when my car would be completed. He then sabotaged my car causing coolant to pour out of the car while driving because he was mad. This could have been catastrophic to the vehicle as well as a dangerous to myself driving the car. The tech is still working at this location may work on your car. I advised and tried to resolve with corporate managers over several months only to have them not care at all and only returned my calls after I continued to contact them weekly. They could care less about me and this horrible experience and only concerned about closing the file twice and I continued to reopen and it seems as if I was bothering them because they had to call me back. I was offered a free oil change at first and later it would be $200 Pep Boys gift card both of which I declined. I could list all their after dealing with several layers of Pep Boys management I would say the problem is systemic so nothing will ever be done about it. Bring your business any place other than here. This is also the first review I have done so others are aware and that Pep Boys may want to eliminate these employees for their action.I really can't be the only one that has had a negative experience that was handled poorly by this management. From the very start I was made to feel that I was wrong or did something wrong when in fact it was Pep Boys at every level that just fails !!!

After being told at 2 other locations there was at least a 3 hour wait for an oil change because I didn't have an appointment, I tried here. Didn't need an appointment, was in and out quickly, and the new manager of the location Daniel was awesome. He totally earned my future business at this location for all my vehicles. It may be farther than other locations but I will go out of my way for great customer service.
