These guys are terrible, brought my vehicle in and left it there for almost week, just for them to never even look at it. These guys simply don’t care, Not the first time this has happened. You’re better going somewhere else.

If you’re ever going to avoid an auto repair shop, this is one to stay away from. When my Chev Malibu was brought to Pep Boys, I initially told store manager, Mike Agresti, I had already diagnosed the Fuel Pump Control Module as bad but he said if I didn’t let them diagnosis the problem (for $107) they would not grantee the repair. Following Pep Boys’ diagnosis, they replaced the Fuel Pump itself (not the control module) which didn’t solve the problem and the car still wouldn’t start. To replace a working fuel pump for they charged $312 parts and $350 labor. I flat-ass refused to pay $350 labor for a fuel pump I didn’t need. But I did agree to pay $312 for the already installed new fuel pump under the expressed and agreed upon condition they RETURN to ME, the replaced fuel pump after completion of the repair as REQUIRED by the following Florida State Statue: Florida Statutes Title XXXIII, Chapter 559.909 (5) states: "Upon request made at the time the repair work is authorized by the customer, the customer is entitled to inspect parts removed from her or his vehicle.” Finally, they replaced the Fuel Pump Control Module (as I had originally requested) and my car immediately started right up and has been working fine ever since. When I picked up the vehicle the store manager, Mike, told me he was unaware where his mechanic had stored the old fuel pump for my pickup but IF I would be willing to pay for the removed fuel pump now, I could pick it up in the next morning. Of course, the next day I was told the fuel pump they promised to return, as legally required in Florida Statue Title XXXIII, was inadvertently discarded. Therefore, I’m left paying $312 for a fuel pump I never received, and $107 for a totally incorrect and costly diagnosis. Small Claims Court is my next course of action. Pep Boys’ mechanics have NO Idea what they’re doing and obviously the store manager at this location, Mike Agresti, has no problem with lying to your face.

I had an appointment at 11am to patch ONE tire and waited 3.5 hours in the waiting room until I was finally told they would not be able to do the one thing I brought my car in for. There were no updates during the process until about 2:30pm when I was finally told that I needed all 4 tires replaced which would cost me over $1100. If I could give 0 stars I would. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have hours of your day to spare with your one problem you came to get fixed not resolved. Appointments should save time not waste it. If the service was quicker, I would’ve considered the tire replacement, but since I already waited 3.5 hours I was ready to go. I expected at least timely updates.

Absolutely terrible experience. Created an appointment for my tires, went to the location and was told to come back the next day because they didn't have a tire person working there that day. Drove all the way back the next day with an appointment at 10AM to drop off the car for my tires and the front desk person kept trying to say I have struts issues based on the age of the car and not even looking at it. Explained to him what's going on with the tires and he didn't even write down my concerns. Told me they would take a look at it and call me or come back again tomorrow. I called 7 hours later because didn't have an update and they told me that it hasn't even been looked at and should be done by the end of the day, should get a phone call with updates. Of course I never got a phone call and called 9 hours later and they never even looked at the vehicle or even knew why I dropped of my vehicle. Told me they would look at it. I don't think they even looked at it. They said there's nothing wrong with it and actually told me to go somewhere else because they couldn't test drive the car. Apparently the tire mechanic had left hours before and didn't even check my car, the same mechanic I was told wasn't there the day before and to come back. This place is a joke, plan to waste your time and day if you go here.

Mechanics did not check the car before giving it back to me. While driving the next day from getting my car back, the entire plastic covering (Skid Plate) under the engine fell out the car in pieces.Cars were swerving behind me to avoid the big plastic pieces. It was not bolted back to stay in place.This was dangerous and thank God no one was hurt while swerving to avoid the pieces that were falling from my car. Is there no quality checks before releasing cars? Totally unacceptable and very disappointing in the lack of quality checks. Do better.

Well what can I say. My wife says she is dropping her car off(genesis G70 so not cheap) because one of the tires is low as her car shows all tire pressures on the dash . She drops the car off and they call back and say a nail is in the tire which they can patch but she's worried because they said the dash alert is stil on and they said the tire is feathered. So I go down and all tires look fine. They just installed them maybe 1,000 miles ago and Michelins. I ask the guy about it at the front desk and he says probably not rotated like they should have been. I call BS they are new and say they just installed them so put new ones on covered by the Michelin warranty. So he says he has to talk to the technician. Goes back and says oops he didn't mean to put that in the report or dash alert he gets too much sun. Selling tires when not needed, honest mistake, or trying to take advantage of a woman..you decide.

My daughter had a nail in her tire but also it was a bad tire. She took it to you on McMullen and you fixed it great but than week later she has a slow leak same tire and supposedly its another nail. In the process they use her emergency break and now the car can not be driven. They broke her emergency break when she asked what they were going to do they said how many times do you use the emergency break. My daughter said Ive never had to use it. So Pepboys said they will not be fixing it because they dont know what could have caused it. That is ridiculous and as much as I told my daughter not to go to them because I had an issue with them a few years back and had proof of there negligence she still took it to them. This is ridiculous and I will be getting a lawyer.

I took my car in twice for brakes. I explained what was happening thoroughly.First the front and then the back Brakes were done. I continued to have Problems. I decided I wasn’t gonna take it back to the place that missed something originally. I took it to Carriage Auto in Apollo Beach instead where they quickly discovered my driver‘s front wheel bearing was out. Something that would’ve been heard had My vehicle been test driven after doing the Front brake repair. Something a competent mechanic would’ve caught. Had to take time away from work and multiple Ubers. Wasting my time and leaving me & my family, & Possibly others, in a Potentially dangerous situation. Will never return here again and don’t recommend This place to anyone!!

I place a review to inform potential coustomers of both good and not so good service. On the great side, Michael at front desk is outstanding, he takes the time to ensure the best choices are made for your vehicle. Paid for tires two days before installation due to specific tire is not in stock at store. Dropped car off at 0930 and it was ready by 2pm. Not bad concederning being short staffed today. Now for the not so good. Although they have great equipment to mount painted rims, it does not protect the paint when the old weights are pried off before balancing. Mind you, the scratches were small, but still a scratch. I picked up my vehicle and drove home. While driving I noticed a slight pull to the left. I checked the onboard computer and found quite a discrepancy in tire pressures. Front right tire had 41 lbs, that's 9 psi to much while the other three were at 37,38,and 37. If he just looked on the driver's door jam. He would have seen a sticker stating 32psi, both front and rear. Attention to detail is a priority to me. Update, i lowered the stars to two due to the canned response from pep boys.

Dropped vehicle off at 7am for a 9am appt to install 4 tires. Stopped by at 3 and the vehicle was still outside and had not been touched. Was told it would be ready between 5 & 6 and they would call when it was done. I called at 6:30 because I had not heard anything and after holding for 5 minutes a girl in the back office picked up and checked with somebody and after holding for another 5 minutes was told it was finally done. I believe this place needs some serious help at the service desk and in the garage. Neither time that I was there today did I actually see a mechanic actually working or doing anything for that matter, they seemed to all be huddled in a back corner.

I would highly recommend that no one take their vehicle to the Pep Boys in Riverview. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. The manager, Mike, was extremely unhelpful, and the claims department was a complete joke. I practically had to force this company to do their job. My vehicle was sent to the dealership in terrible shape — parts missing, bolts gone, and pieces just hanging out like it was a junk car. I’ve been trying to speak with an area or regional manager since October, but even after being told one was “on vacation,” I’ve still received no follow-up whatsoever. Pep Boys has completely failed in guest satisfaction, problem resolution, and accountability. I will never return to any Pep Boys location and will be sharing my experience — with photos and videos — to help others avoid the same nightmare. 🚫 Do better, Pep Boys. Customers deserve far better than this. If it wasn't for the wonderful service advisor at Brandon Ford I would have to pay out of pocket for a mistake this company made!! Something needs to be done at this location

Really nice people. I popped a tire and went here since it was closest to where I popped it. Did a free inspection of the tire and said it wasn’t reparable. The guy went over how much a new tire would cost (not as expensive as I thought it would be, it was $175 total) and said it would be replaced in 30 minutes to 2 hours. I came back and asked for advice about the car and he answered. We joked for a bit and talked while they were finishing the tire replacement. Friendly environment, would recommend them and come back again.

In the end, I got everything i needed done for my vehicle. Jeff was amazing! My issue is that my tires weren't in when my appointment was confirmed. I wasn't told. Then I dropped off my car, I still wasn't told my tires weren't in. I requested additional services at the time of drop off. But ya'll didn't know that at the time. Then I was advised the vehicle should be finished around 3pm. Around 245pm i get a call telling me the tires weren't in. This was the first I was hearing about it. I came back to get my vehicle and had to schedule another drop off for my vehicle during the week. When I came in that day the tires that were finally in were not the tires I had ordered, Jeff did confirm they would fit on my vehicle and they could still install today. Moved everything forward and got me taken care of. I would also like to state this cost me gas to and from the shop as well as lyft rides to and from the shop I was only planning on a single ride to drop off my vehicle and another to pick up my vehicle and I had twice as many trips due to the shops inability to advise its customers of relevant situations.
