Even if you have to stay with them while your car is being worked on they ask if you’d like coffee or water and have a comfy seating area to lounge and wait for your car. i will definitely be back.

Much Better Choices On my most recent visit, I was informed my vehicle needed a new tire. I was doubtful and brought the vehicle to a different shop and as I thought, the tire is fine and does not have multiple punctures as I was led to believe. On a prior visit I was told my vehicle needed the rear brakes replaced as they were worn. When I got home I pulled prior invoices and the last one at this same shop showed the rear brakes replaced and there were maybe 2,000 miles since. When confronted, they said they made a mistake. There are much better options in the area. Their only saving grace is their shuttle service. For me I’d rather have better business practices.

I brought my 2021 Jeep Wrangler to Christian Brothers Automotive – Riverview for what should have been a straightforward crankshaft seal repair. What followed was months of repeated failures, escalating damage, thousands of dollars in losses, and a complete breakdown in accountability and communication. After the initial crankshaft seal replacement in October 2025, the oil leak continued. I was forced to return, and the shop admitted the first repair was faulty and replaced the seal again in early November. Less than six weeks later, while driving in December, my vehicle displayed a critical warning (“Pull over, your vehicle will shut off soon”) and became inoperable, stranding me away from home. A Jeep dealership later diagnosed catastrophic damage: the alternator had overheated and failed, wiring was burned, and the Power Distribution Center (fuse box) was melted. Upon disassembly, there was clear physical evidence of serpentine belt misalignment and belt debris being pulled into the alternator—conditions that do not occur without improper installation or reassembly. An expert mechanical opinion confirmed that the alternator failure was not normal wear, but was directly caused by belt interference and debris contamination, a known and preventable failure mode under SAE and OEM standards. As a result, I incurred extensive costs including: • Alternator replacement • Melted fuse box replacement • Serpentine belt replacement • Towing exceeding $1,500 • Rental cars, travel, parking, and lodging • Significant vehicle downtime All of this damage traces back to the improper repair work performed at this location. When I returned the vehicle to Christian Brothers – Riverview for inspection, management immediately denied responsibility despite being shown physical evidence. I was repeatedly told I would receive follow-up calls that never came. The shop then ordered parts without my authorization and later demanded $750 simply to release my vehicle. Communication stalled for days due to closures, and resolution attempts went nowhere, forcing me to escalate to corporate and ultimately seek legal counsel. This experience reflects: • Poor workmanship • Lack of quality control • Failure to stand behind repairs • Unauthorized actions • Unprofessional handling of a serious safety-related failure I trusted this shop with my vehicle and was left with severe mechanical damage, financial loss, and weeks of disruption. Based on my experience and documented evidence, I cannot recommend Christian Brothers Automotive – Riverview to anyone seeking reliable or accountable service.

I had a very difficult experience with this location. After approving an initial repair estimate, I was later told the repair could not be completed unless the cost increased dramatically. When I declined, I was initially told I would only owe the inspection fee, but later the shop demanded additional labor charges just to reassemble the vehicle and release it. After escalating the issue, they eventually agreed to reassemble the car and release it without additional charges. However, immediately after pickup, the vehicle developed a loud noise and burning smell that were not present before. Communication and consistency were major issues. I recommend getting everything in writing and being very cautious about authorizations.

My daughter thought her check engine light was on, so she brought it to Christian Brothers for a diagnostic test. So we left it there and got a call about 15 minutes later saying it was just her tire pressure light. They could've easily charged her the diagnostic fee and she wouldn't have know any better, but they didn't. Very honest, and they just earned a lifelong customer. Highly recommend!

For this being my first time at a mechanic in Florida I cannot put it into words how disappointed and furious I am with Christian Brothers Automotive Riverview. I take it not all of us can be pros working with automobiles but charging 60 dollars to put in a cabin filter and 114 for a new radiator cap I hope every car in your shops engines all combust collectively. I dropped my car off and within 14 minutes of driving off my engine overheated and my coolant exploded out of my hood. I payed 70 dollars to get it towed back to the mechanic because in my head I’m thinking they didn’t bleed the line correctly or there must be a leak somewhere. They not only didn’t repay me for the tow but charged me another 80 dollars to do a pressurized test. I ended up outside the shop working on the vehicle myself and got it up and running after an hour. These people are criminals I spent a total of 300 dollars in 2 days just for them to tell me that I need a new radiator cap and front brakes. They didn’t even have the gull to apologize when I came back to grab my vehicle. From top to bottom I hope every worker in that building stubs there toes on hard metal on there way home tonight.
