Awful woman (blond) who works there. She seemingly doesn’t know much about cars and her English is questionable. I tried explaining my thing and she tried to telling me it’s one particular issue, I had to insist that it’s something else because that’s what literally every other mechanic’s shop i called said. She rudely told me “I have a car”. Also, apparently Pep Boys bill you by which component they’re going to check for you instead of just doing a complete inspection which is bad if the employee you’re speaking with is trying to insist that the problem is something it isn’t. Hope that you when you walk in it’s not her who helps you. She was so rude!

A few months back, I had my headlight replaced, but recently it started acting up again. I decided to bring it back to Pep Boys to see what was going on, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Ben went above and beyond to assist me, making the entire process seamless. Not only did they replace the headlight free of charge, but they also fixed the water damage that was causing the issue in the first place. Even though I live far away and have several Pep Boys locations closer to me, this one is my go-to. Why? Because the level of service, professionalism, and integrity here is unmatched. They refused to install 2 tires, 3 months ago they installed the first 2 tires that were part of the same factory take off set. It wasn’t an issue then now all of a sudden 3 months later all they wanted to do was sell me 2 new tires. Went across the street to their competition and they installed and balanced them for me with no issue. I believe they even changed less than Pep Boys did. Moral of the story stay away from this place they are snakes.

DONT USE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I came in for a simple tire repair because of a nail, and the staff at this Pep Boys immediately tried to upsell me. First, they told me my tires were “run flats” and couldn’t be repaired, which was a flat-out lie since my tires are not run flats. When I pointed that out, they changed their story and said I needed brand new tires instead. It was clear they were just trying to make a sale instead of being honest and doing the right thing.

I bought a set of four tires ‘Good year’ brand back in 2020 at this location. Pep Boys honored the tires warranty, they gave me credit for a new set so all tires were replaced yesterday. I’m happy with their service! thanks to the store manager Juan, and his assistants Rolando and Matilda. I do recommend this place ✅

The prices are excellent — about half of what the dealer charges for a battery and for an oil and filter change. I’ve been here twice and the value is great. However, my last visit was very disappointing. The customer service was poor — no friendliness, no smile, and it felt like helping the customer was a burden. Even when the associate brought the manager, the manager’s attitude was just as rude. This was truly disappointing, and they definitely need to improve in how they treat customers.

Went in for an oil change and new tires. Not only did they try to upsell me on services my vehicle did not need, they also haven’t the slightest clue how to secure a slash guard to the under carriage of the vehicle with a Phillips screw driver. The splash guard has not detached, and the oil pan is punctured. This is what I get for a mere $692.24 of my hard earned money.

I moved to the Sunrise area about a year and a half ago, and this Pep Boys has been the best experience I’ve had when it comes to car service. Every time I’ve needed help, they’ve been prompt, fast, and reasonably priced. The staff here always goes above and beyond, and I really appreciate everything they do to take care of my car. The guys who work here are great, and it’s such a relief knowing I have a dependable place I can trust nearby.

Went in for a radiator replacement and they returned my car without operable brakes. They also left an air intake manifold laying on my exhaust and my car nearly caught on fire. They did not secure the battery back into its location properly. The radiator mounting bolts are not properly secured and the entire radiator is moving. They broke the radio filling neck and did not replace it. The coolant level was low when I got home indicating they never properly filled it back up. A complete disaster.

I went in for a brake inspection. I was told I needed all four breaks. Including rear drums and solenoid. I decided to have a second and third opinion. I found out I actually only needed front brakes. My rear drums shoes and solenoid were fine. I now dont trust this stores technicians. Had I not got the additional inspections from dedicated brake shops i would have spent money unnecessarily. Always get a second opinion before trusting this location.

I visited the Pep Boys in Sunrise Plantation for a simple battery service, and unfortunately the experience was very uncomfortable. The customer service attendant was rude when explaining services and pricing, and every time I presented a coupon or asked for clarification, it seemed like a big bother to him. I also noticed that my name, address, and vehicle information were incorrect, but I hesitated to point it out because of his attitude and fear of more backlash. He sighed and huffed as if helping me was an inconvenience, which is unacceptable—especially for a new client. Because of this experience, I don’t think I will be using Pep Boys again.

YOUR BATTERY IS FINE, DONT TAKE THE BAIT! This shop has a habit of trying to upsell you batteries, when yours if perfectly fine! These people had the audacity to LIE to my face and say they had to jump start my car to perform service. TOTAL BS! Battery has never given me an issue, and car started right up when I picked it up. Also, appointment times are more like drop off times to get in line and wait for service. Took 2 hours to start working on the car from “appointment time”.

On December 18, I visited this establishment to have the two front tires on my vehicle replaced with a new set. My interaction with Orlando was outstanding. He provided excellent customer service, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better salesperson. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended shortly after. A few days later, I noticed that whenever I exceeded 55 mph, the front end of my vehicle began vibrating. This was never an issue with my old tires, so I assumed the new tires were not balanced properly. I contacted the store and specifically asked to speak with Orlando due to the great service he had previously provided. I ended up speaking with Mr. Ben instead. I explained the issue and asked if I could bring my vehicle in to have the tires rebalanced, as they should still be covered under Pep Boys’ warranty. Mr. Ben explicitly told me over the phone that this could be done, as long as I arrived before 6:00 PM. I informed Mr. Ben that I work over 45 minutes away and that making it before 6:00 PM would be difficult. Despite this, he continued to insist and confirm that as long as I arrived before 6:00 PM, my tires would be rebalanced so they could verify whether the issue was tire-related or something else. I left work early specifically to make it on time and arrived before 6:00 PM as instructed. Upon arrival, I was told by another employee that there was only one mechanic working on a single vehicle and that he was “slow.” I explained multiple times that I did not mind waiting, as I drive on the highway daily and the vibration becomes noticeable above 65 mph. Instead of listening, she repeatedly dismissed my request, walked away mid-conversation, and continued pointing out that there was only one mechanic and that nothing could be done. I explained that rebalancing two front tires should not take an hour and that I was willing to wait until the mechanic finished the current vehicle. My concerns were completely ignored. What makes this situation even more frustrating is the fact that Mr. Ben confirmed over the phone that the service could be done if I arrived before 6:00 PM. That information was clearly misleading. If I had been told upfront that the tires could not be rebalanced that day, I would not have left work early or rushed to make it on time. In conclusion, if a job cannot be performed, be honest with the customer from the beginning. Do not provide misinformation just to get someone through the door. Additionally, dismissive behavior does not solve problems—it only makes the experience worse. This was handled poorly and is not the right way to do business.
