horrible experience: went here to have new tires mounted, balanced, installed, and to have an alignment done. I attempted to make an appointment before by calling in 3 days before (to which they said they do) but never took my name or phone number. the day I go in to have the work done I am told it’s going to be a 3 hour wait, and that my vehicle is too low for their alignment rack (which i understand, as it could be a liability). once I get my car back, the car now vibrates at high rates of speed, which it did not do before despite me having the same brand/style tires installed. I called back advising that the vehicle is now vibrating and is possibly a balancing issue. I take my car back up there and was told it was going to be a 4 hour wait. I get my car back and see that it has not moved, and the vehicle was not touched. I was told that the issue is my upgraded suspension/alignment needed. I took my car home and attempted to take the wheels off, however they torqued them so tight that I needed an air impact to get it off, despite the report saying it was torqued to 70 ft-lbs. I found that all of my hub-centric rings on my rims were broken and/or missing, to which the techs at pep boys never notified me of. I had to take my car to another shop to get the wheels rebalanced correctly and aligned. will never be taking my business back to this location or any pep boys in the future.

I scheduled my appointment through their website, which was simple and efficient. In the notes section, I detailed everything I wanted to be checked and fixed. I had a wheel alignment, oil change, and tire rotation done, and they provided me with a quote for these services. Additionally, I asked them to check my TPMS sensor, as the warning light kept turning on and off despite the tires being at the correct pressure. I inquired about the cost of replacing all four sensors, but the staff couldn’t provide an estimate, saying they would call me after inspecting the sensors. However, they never called. Instead, I received an SMS notification that my car is ready for pickup. When I arrived at 5:30 PM, I discovered the issue wasn’t fixed, and all the mechanics had already left the shop, even though the shop was supposed to be open until 7 PM. Now I have to bring my car back again. I also asked to send my receipt to my email, which I also did not get it. The entire experience was very unprofessional and inefficient.

I recently visited this location to have them service my vehicle, and rotate the tires. They broke the chrome wheel cap on my beloved 2007 Ford Eco line van. Now I wouldn’t have known that one of the flanges broke because it still would go onto the wheel. The manager told me what had happened and that it may come off in the coming weeks and he would replace it. It did in fact come off, and I probably wouldn’t have known the difference if they hadn’t already fessed up to it.. When I told them they were good about replacing it. You might have to wait a little bit to have your vehicle serviced and they may not smile as much as you’d like but they’re honest and that’s enough for me.

I got a flat Christmas Eve and waited until after the holiday to call them because I bought my tires here. However she wasn’t trying to look up warranty. I told her I was away from my car because it’s currently pouring. She proceeds to ask me to check my tire size or if I have my receipt. I informed her again, I wasn’t in or near my car and then she asks me if I know about the “glove compartment” area in my car. I drove 40min to another location where they had some common sense. Thanks Ruby or whatever your name was

I do not recommend this place for anything!! The worst experience ever. We called and make and appointment for 11 am, we got there at 10:30, the guys at the front desk were “busy” making phone calls and complaining about the weather, 15 min after we arrived one of the guys finally acknowledged us and said the earliest they can get us was 2:00 pm. I told him that we had made an appointment for 11 am and he said that the phone calls are taken by a call center and they don’t have all the information. I told him that we were coming from another town and he said: sorry!

I went to this location to have my AC looked at. The shop Manager told me they would do a diagnostic test first and if they do not find a leek. They would have to charge it and put dye in and I would have to ride around and if the air gets warm again come back and they would use "special glasses" to see where the leaks are located and this would cost $437 but he would give me a deal $333. What he said didn't sound correct so I left and went to the dealership. Dealership explained the process and explained the diagnostic part does involve the dye. I took a look at my receipt from PEP BOYS and he had infact charged me for dye. I called customer service explained to them what i was told and what the receipt said. They told me someone from their corporate office would call. I did receive a call it was from the guy that helped me at the PEP BOYS location. He said to me in very aggressive tone , I'm calling to ask what didn't you understand. I told him I didn't understand why I was charged for them putting the dye in my car if they didn't? He said he didn't know why it said that but like he said they would have put the dye in and I would have to ride around and that's how they know if I have a leak or not the $333 process and he also confirmedagain the dye was not added. I told him they told me someone from COOPERATE would call. I called their customer service back because it didn't make since the person I complained about would call me back. So they had the AREA OR DIVISIONAL manager to call me but he also had an attitude. I told him what was told to me and he agreed then I told him what was on my receipt and the process the dealership told me. He said it was on my receipt because the dye was added. I said he said it wasn't. He said HE TOLD ME HE TOLD YOU IT WAS. I said he said to me it wasn't it would be add when they did the $333 process. He said that's why the the shop Manager call. I can call him and call you back but we would only be going back and forward. I said to him that did make any sense. It sounded as if he was annoyed. I said to him if he told me he put the dye in why would I bring it to someone else the same day to perform the process. He said, He said he told you he did. I ended it and we hung up. The dealership did put dye in it and showed me without special glasses and took pictures of the leeks that he said weren't there. In my opinion I don't know if they were incompetent or just trying to scam me because I was a women, sad. They took my money and I'm not sure what they truly did.

I'm in my 70's and finding an affordable and trustworthy place to have a car serviced is more challenging today than ever! I have found that Pep boys, of all places, has been honest with me. I put them to the test knowing well what the issues were on my truck, and they came forward with the same list, nothing more. Since then, they have my trust with all of my cars and trucks.

I came in, I stood there for at least a good 30seconds and that guy never once looked up. I needed a tire replaced, decided to go somewhere else. People like that is what hurts good businesses/companies

Went there for oil change & I spoke with rude short fat guy has no customer service at all he told me that they are so busy & will take all day for 30 minutes oil change even the shop have only 2 cars inside but it seems the job was small for him to touch the car & i wonder now why they have no business, highly not recommend

I visit this pep boys all the time and I highly recommend it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and always looking to help you out. The tech’s and the service staff in the shop are Knowledgeable and courteous. Don’t forget to pick up your Pep Boys membership deal card thing, as there are a lot of benefits to be had from it. I love this Pep Boys, and I’m so happy that it’s really close to my house.

Called this location because I had a 3 year battery that died 2 years in. I spoke with Rashad who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to look up my original purchase and set a time for me to come get the battery swapped out under the warranty. When I arrived he was quick and attentive and got the battery swapped and got me on my way. Great experience! Cannot say enough good things about Rashad! Thank you!!!

After being told by the dealership, I need a brakes and probably rotors when I went into Pep Boys. They gave excellent surface and Jose M let me know that I still had life left on the brakes and didn’t need any additional work. Not only that but I just bought windshield wipers that I was gonna install when I got home and they did it for me. So thankful for honest mechanics.

I had a very unusual situation involving my car that required more detailed attention than another repair shop could support. This specific Pep Boys location came highly recommended, and it was definitely worth the "East-Dallas-to-Plano-flat-bed-tow". Manager, Greg listened to me while extending the best course of action which worked out perfectly - allowing me to return to Dallas worry-free. This location clearly has great leadership, and experienced technicians. The gentleman in the front, although busy, was friendly, too! I can honestly share that the Customer Care Experience, for me, closely mirrored that of going to the dealership, and I would not hesitate returning to this location as they've since placed me back into my Happy Space while driving ~
