Ray and all the tech’s are extremely professional and always willing to help. Today I had my oil and filter replaced. I asked if they could take a look at my driver’s side brake lights. Ray and James ended up replacing them because I had put the incorrect ones in the car. Thank you for going the extra mile on my car.

The workers here are kind and efficient, they took no time at all to see us and our inspection took only 20 mins.

BEWARE!!! This sole proprietorship business is a rip off. My daughter car would not crank after she pumped gas at the Exxon beside this shop on Christmas day. We contacted New Hope Auto Services about looking at the car. In the beginning they were very kind and made me feel like they were good and understanding people. I spoke with Ray not the owner Ray Moore. He stated that if I paid for the diagnosis and agreed to allow them to fix the car that they would be nice and hold the car 30 days to give us time to pay the $796 quoted estimate to get the car back in running condition. Around January 25 my daughter paid the remainder invoice and drove the car to her home which is less than 5 miles. When she came back out to pick her child up from daycare the car did not crank and still has not cranked since then. She, her boyfriend, and I have called the shop on numerous occasions letting the shop know that her car is still not cranking and hasn't since she left the shop. I personally have been told by Ray that the owner Ray would call. Here its been at least 2 weeks and we still haven't heard from ANYONE at the shop. They took her money and the car has not cranked since. Don't use this company. I am also filing a complaint with the attorney general. BEWAREof their business practices here

Ray at New Hope Auto has been my mechanic for multiple vehicles for a few years now. He is an honest, straightforward guy and has always done fair by me. For example, I had to have a transmission rebuilt. Ray warrantied the work about a year later, there was a problem with the new transmission. Ray arranged to have the transmission rebuilt/replaced at no cost to me. I have had numerous other situations like that where Ray has looked out for me. I have been very happy with the service I have received from New Hope Auto.

They do not deserve even one star. I had my 2007 Honda Accord towed into the shop because it wouldn’t start and it had a flat tire. I received a phone call saying the car would need a new engine. Not wanting to invest money into a new engine for that car, I decided I would scrap it. So far, so good. Then, when I went in to ask about selling it to the shop for parts and salvage, I was told all they could do was not charge me the $164 for the diagnostic test, and the tire patch. This is when they lost my respect. They blatantly took advantage of my situation and completely ripped me off. There’s no way that vehicle was worth a mere $164, but since I already knew I would be getting a new vehicle soon, and I had to return to work-I decided to hold my tongue on that matter. Get this, when I went to my vehicle to retrieve my belongings before basically giving them a free project car, I noticed the tire was STILL FLAT. After the “transaction” The man I dealt with then proceeded to tell me to come back anytime once I get a new car. Was he trying to make me laugh?! No, thank you. I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to set foot in there. I am writing this review solely for the purpose of letting the public know that this place WILL rip you off if an opportunity arises. They also couldn’t tell me what was wrong with my engine besides “I needed a new one.” I would watch this company closely, as I would hate for what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Never leave your mechanical child with this crook establishment.

I've been here for years and won't let anyone but NHAS work on my 1996 Honda Civic. Ray and techs have always been the best. They don't oversell and as a matter of fact Ray will do his best to save you money. One example is something in my clutch went out causing my car not to start about a year ago. Instead of selling me a new clutch, he got in up there to replace one small part which cost me around $200 saving me a lot more money than a new clutch! I've had no problems since then. I have AAA and don't live nearby. When I need a tow about once a year, AAA suggests a mechanic a mile away. I tell them no. I'm going to Ray. For those of you who've left negative reviews, I'd suggest instead of writing a review first, talk with Ray. He'll do his best to fix the situation.

They were wonderful! I had a nail in my tire and needed to get it patched. Every other place I called told me it would be around 1.5 hours. New Hope had me in and out in less than 30 min. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful AND it was less than the other places had quoted. Definitely recommend them!

Wonderful independently owned shop! Fixed my tire without charging me after having a rough morning. They were also very knowledgeable and answered my questions. AAA across the street tried to make me spend money on a new tire even though mine could have been patched. Two tow trucks later I found this place. I give my thanks to Ray and his crew!

Raymond and his ram are fantastic. Quality service that you cannot find anywhere else. He has worked on my Ram 1500 and Ford Escape when others turn down the repair. I won't be calling anyone else for little or big service

I found RENEWED hope for my auto repair just off New Bern Avenue at New Hope Auto Service. Every time I turn my ignition, or sit at a light with my car purring like a kitten - I personally thank Ray for going to bat with CarShield for me and not giving up. My Suzuki with 40,000 miles was all but dead until Ray advised me to not accept defeat - he could get her running - and he did rebuilding her. CarShield paid $4200, and they did not want to at first, but how could they argue with a 30yr certified expert mechanic? I also paid my hefty share as a bartender but that’s because I trusted Ray’s no nonsense professional advice. If you want renewed hope - give New Hope Auto Service your business. They don’t lie to you. Sincerely - Jamie Montoya

Beware of fake positive reviews! I’m an engineer and understand when a mechanic overcharge for a car repair. They charged me nearly $1500 for a job that was half the cost. They refused to show me the parts they claimed they replaced on the car and did poorly on the alignments. When I confronted him (I don’t remember his name) about their mistakes, he started shouting. I didn’t feel it was worth arguing and left the shop. I’ll take my car to another shop for a proper fix.

I have been taking my car to them since moving to NC and I am always satisfied when leaving. My father recommended them to me and now, I recommend them to everyone. They are reasonable, good, and have excellent customer service. You don't feel like just money walking in there, you feel more like family. Ray and Neil will work with you to make sure that you are up and running for a fair price.

I usually avoid visiting auto shops, as dealerships and chain locations often seem to engage in dishonest practices. However, I have found a trustworthy alternative in RayMo Car Care. This family-owned business is run by genuinely honest and helpful individuals. I wholeheartedly recommend this auto shop to all my friends and family.

I visited RayMo Car Care Experts for car repairs, and unfortunately, I had a highly disappointing experience. Not only was the service of low quality, but it also came at a significantly higher cost compared to my previous trusted shop. To make matters worse, the issues with my car were not properly resolved despite the charges I incurred. When I confronted the person at the front desk about the subpar workmanship, their response was both dismissive and rude. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unheard as a customer. I even took the extra step of reaching out to their main office through a letter, expressing my concerns and seeking resolution, but regrettably, I never received a reply. This lack of communication only added to my frustration. What troubles me further is the apparent discrepancy between the positive reviews I found online and my personal experience. Based on my encounter, I question the authenticity of those glowing reviews, suspecting they might have been posted by the shop itself. Considering my ordeal, I strongly advise fellow car owners to exercise caution when considering RayMo Car Care Experts for their automotive needs. I would recommend exploring alternative options and seeking out reputable shops with a track record of reliable service and genuine customer satisfaction. It is my hope that sharing my experience will help others make informed decisions and avoid similar frustrations.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and they always take great care of our cars. I’ve come to trust them and their workmanship, and they have proven themselves to be a top-notch, fair priced, high quality auto repair service. Ray and Neil are excellent mechanics, and I look forward to being a customer here for many more years. I never write reviews, but I seriously recommend this place to anyone looking for a great auto repair shop. Service is timely, friendly, honest, and they take the time to explain what is wrong with the vehicle and why certain repairs need to be done. This business is truly a gem in Raleigh!!!!

Fantastic mechanics! I thought we only had one problem but had suspicions of others and they confirmed it all. They were professional and kind, took photos as they repaired so we could see what was going on, and most importantly they were priced fairly. We will definitely be going back for any of our car needs!

Over two years and these people are still trying to steal my car not because they fixed my car but because I refuse to pay 8,000 in storage fees alone when I keep trying to settle so that I can get my car back. Single mom of two totally bullied by this father son duo.
