While traveling long distance, we experienced an electrical issue that put us out of commission with still 1000 miles to go. It was about 7:30 AM and 2 days before the holiday. We were pointed in this shop’s direction by another place we limped into, and had no time to repair it. Not only did Rod’s take us within 30 min of arriving but they had us up and running in 2 hrs! No one wants a mechanical problem with their vehicle far from home. Their understanding and willingness to get us moving, when they were clearly very busy and booked, was not only appreciated but a sign they are willing to go above and beyond! Local customers should be thankful to have this business in their backyard, if I wasn’t 12 hrs away I would be back here for all my automotive needs. Thanks again for your expertise and professionalism!

I had Rod replace my engine in 1994 after spinning the main bearing. After a thorough search for a good mechanic I just had to check out Rod after hearing so many strong referrals from his peers. They say he could change an engine in his sleep. When I observed his shop what impressed me was the variety of work that he does. I noticed trucks from local businesses that have their own vehicle maintenance shop, but brought them to Rod because their own mechanics couldn't solve the problem, but Rod and his staff could. Needless to say there was no doubt that Rod's Repair was my choice. He replaced the engine and it was done right the first-time with no followup calls to fix things that were missed. Over the last 24 years that I've been having Rod and his staff service my vehicles I've been totally pleased with their work, and is very, very fair when it comes to labor charges. They have saved me hundreds/thousands of dollars over the past 24+ years compared to taking my service needs to a local dealership. Rod is GM certified, but is just as proficient with all other manufacturers, including foreign vehicles. Don't be surprised if you see a motorcycle, snowmobile, boat, lawnmower, camper, tractor on sight when you visit. Being a commercially licensed pilot I would like to take my airplane to his shop, but I'm not checked out to fly aircraft that can take-off and land vertically. Otherwise Rod's Repair is the only place that I take my car, unless it's an emergency and I'm out of town, which happened about a year ago. I was in Menomonie, 15 miles away, but still had my car towed by Interstate Auto, which is close to Rod's Repair, where the work is done right.....the first time. I'm working with Rod trying to put in a runway in his back yard 😉.
