I purchased my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek brand new and have had a disappointing experience with this dealership’s service department. At around 10,000 miles, I reported a stiff steering wheel with a grinding noise. The service advisor dismissed my concern after a brief check, claiming nothing was wrong, despite my request to compare it to another Crosstrek. Weeks later, as the issue worsened, they finally confirmed a faulty steering rack requiring replacement. At 20,000 miles, my brakes began making loud screeching noises with noticeable uneven wear. Again, the service team dismissed it as “normal” without addressing the issue, which remains unresolved. Eyesight rattling was brought up, said they fixed but still rattles. The lack of thorough diagnostics and initial dismissals wasted my time, made my take time off of work and raised lack of safety concerns coming from Royal Moore.. Wouldn’t be saying this if I didn’t get gaslit. Additionally, I’ve noticed lack of google reviews and a bunch of yelp reviews which is concerning. As companies have been known to delete reviews. I’ve escalated my case to Subaru of America and hope for a resolution, but I cannot recommend this service department based on their handling of my vehicle.

Friendly, genuine and professional. Took my car today to replace my 4 year old battery which I thought was dead. They agreed to replace the battery and give the car back in 30 mins. However after inspecting they told me the problem is not with the battery. Its just that the positive terminal is loose so its not able draw enough power to start the engine. They fixed it for free and the car was ready to go in 10 mins. If they wanted, they could have still replaced the battery and charged me for parts and labour, I wouldn't know a thing. But they chose to be honest and do the right thing. Much appreciated and thank you very much for your service.

I’ve been bringing my Subaru here for service for 7 years. Even though I no longer live close by, I still choose to come here because the employees are so great. The staff are honest and I have never felt pressured into any unnecessary repairs. Two hours for my routine tire rotation and vehicle check. Sacramento was great and very nice. He did offer a free Lyft after I waited for well over an hour. Ended up taking 2 hours which is insane. I was told 45 minutes to an hour upon arrival. Obviously, the service team doing the work are untrained “amateur hour” technicians or are being completely overwhelmed with business. I’ll never come back here and I don’t recommend other’s do either.

Thoroughly impressed: Called for service while at another dealership that did not have availability. Service Advisor Sacramento answered, offered to fit me in today with some flexibility, offered a loaner car, gave my son free snacks, changed the battery in my remote for free, showed me videos of the service so I could see the car in detail. They have the fast laser alignment check that’s free of charge when you pull in to service. This is something I really liked from my previous dealer, no more having someone put the car on a rack with an appointment just to check alignment. My overall impression is this dealership has the most professional service I’ve experienced to date. I’ve come here years ago and am thoroughly impressed with how much the service has improved, even though it was already among my favorites before. Would highly recommend this dealership and next time, I will call here first. Take a look at the photo of the video of the service on the ipad. They took multiple videos for me, had the technician show me the items they referenced and explained their condition and suggestions.

Outstanding service from Steve Lyle at Royal Moore Subaru. I came in with an issue related to my gear shifter that could have easily been overlooked or treated as a minor inconvenience, but Steve took the time to thoroughly investigate it and made sure it was properly fixed. He clearly explained what was going on, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure everything was handled correctly rather than rushing through it. In addition to resolving the gear shifter issue, he also completed the oil change efficiently and professionally. The entire experience was smooth, transparent, and stress-free. It was clear that Steve genuinely cares about his work and about taking care of customers, not just closing a service ticket. This kind of attention to detail and customer care is rare. I truly appreciate the effort he put in and the trust he built through his actions. Highly recommend Royal Moore Subaru Service—and definitely ask for Steve Lyle if you want exceptional service.
