I went in on Friday and they were slammed! The lady at the front told me that the wait was about 45 mins, but I was finished within 30. They definitely have the right person running the front! She is super friendly and kind. I heard her explain to an older gentleman about 3 times why his car didn't pass and what he could do about it. She was very kind and gentle with him. The gentleman who inspected my car was very friendly also. I will definitely bring my car back next year! Don't let the wait time scare you either

I took my daughter's car there for an inspection last Friday. They are very quick and professional. Just hand over your key and registration. No appointment needed. You are in and out in under 30 minutes max. I highly recommend this place if you need your vehicle inspected in a timely manner. Didn't get the name of the sweet, young lady at the desk 😊

This shop is perfect for State Inspection. Fast, friendly and very helpful. They don't do repairs here, but on more than one occasion, they have pointed out potential problems that should be addressed. Recently I meet the owner and he introduced me to his new manager and team. They told me they were all about better customer service. I believe it. I will continue to drive across town, to get my vehicles inspected at South End Auto Inspection.

How does a State Inspection go up $20 from 2024 to 2025 without any signs disclosing this? I looked at my receipt from last year and paid $23 total- NC website shows that their inspection fees should be $13 and they charged me $23 this time and $5 more for e-authorization. I feel somewhat scammed and I’ve been going here for years- my car is not over 3 years or 75,000 miles. I questioned the desk girl who told me my total after my services were complete and she was on a personal call, ignored me and just chopped it up to be window tint $10 charge. This should be disclosed before the service is complete. Edit: Response to owner- my car was not at that mileage or over 3 years old. This is also not on the receipt. Per state website safety inspection fee itself is $13.60 and I was charged $23.

Won’t go here again. Totally unprofessional, over charge the tinting fee when it’s totally un necessary. Nowhere else have checked”tint window” for my caramel that’s why I provide the picture. When it is such apparent thing anyone else can judge it by eye, but you still did the “tint window” check.

This place was quick, easy, and reliable! While I was here, another young girl walked in asking for her state inspection, and they kindly explained to her that she didn’t need her inspection yet since she had just transferred her car from another state. They even helped her take off her old inspection sticker and clean the area with windex before sending her on her way. I would recommend this place to all my friends!

Have been coming to this location ever since I got my first car (2011). Super convinient location on south end and VERY QUICK AND RELIABLE! I have gone in the afternoon and during lunch times and have not been there for more than 20 minutes each time I go. The receptionist is always super friendly and efficient. If I ever have an issue and I wasn't aware of it, they always explain to me in detail, give me instructions on what I can or need to do, and are always polite and accommodating. They do charge $30 for inspections, but I do recommend bringing cash as they do charge and an extra $3 for the card processing fee. Make sure to bring your registration card inside as they will need that for inspection. The place is small but cozy. Parking is a bit small, but I never have an issue finding a spot. Overall, I definitely recommend this location. No hassle at all.
