Speedee Oil Change on South Blvd. in Charlotte are awesome, very knowledgeable on vehicles. I have had work done on my 2006 Ford Crown Vic. I highly recommend if you need any work done to your car to come here.

be aware of all Speed Dee/ grease monkey’s on this road as they are all owned by the same person. My girlfriend got a tire rotation at one of these shops and a few hundred miles later the wheel fell off her car. The regional manager gave us the run around on where to tow the car until finally having us tow to this location. The regional manager we met with was the rudest human being I’ve ever dealt with. He didn’t take us seriously and was originally going to put the same damaged parts back onto the car, made multiple snarky comments, and gave us no communication whatsoever about the damage/repairs on the car. We had to call 4 days later to find out they fixed it without our consent or any knowledge of what they did. They were supposed to order and call us about replacing the damaged rim as well, but we never heard back from them again. Horrible customer service, horrible communication and inexperienced technicians.

I luckily rolled into a nearest jiffy lube looking for extra lug nuts to keep my wheel from falling off, shops arent supposed to take this sort of job for liability and safety concerns, they gladly helped me out and kept me rolling, they were very upfront and honest about shop politics with me and were very helpful

I was here today. Try to scam me saying I needed new brake pads and rotors for 1300 dollars. I brought my car to another place and my brakes are basically brand new. Completley lied to my face. Don't bring your car here.

In and out state inspection - they said 30 minutes and my car was ready in 30 witu knowledgeable and friendly service. AND, they did not try to add any unecessry services like a dealership (that shall remain unnamed).

From day one, something felt off about this shop. The professionalism, integrity, and overall knowledge of those working here raised red flags that, in hindsight, I should have trusted. There were too many concerning details to even list, but the general lack of confidence and transparency made the experience extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, during a recent visit I overheard another customer discussing that their car had been stolen from the shop overnight. Hearing that only reinforced the uneasy feeling I had from the beginning. While I can’t speak to the specifics of that situation, the environment felt sketchy and unsafe, and it did nothing to inspire trust. I strongly recommend listening to your intuition and proceeding with caution before leaving your vehicle here.

I had an excellent experience at SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service on South Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. DJ was the first person I spoke with, and instead of simply telling me like everyone else, that I needed a new battery, he took the time to dig deeper. He discovered that my alternator was actually draining the battery and clearly explained what needed to be done. His honesty and kindness immediately built my trust. The next day, the manager followed up with a detailed quote, made sure I understood everything, and never pressured me. He even advocated on my behalf to ensure the part arrived on time so my car would be ready when promised, and it was done hours ahead of schedule! That extra time allowed me to handle my rental car, switch my husband cars to pick up our daughter from school, and make it to another event I thought I’d miss. When I arrived to pick up my car, the team was friendly, professional, and transparent. They went above and beyond to try to reduce the cost where they could, given the nature of my car and the repair. They even explained a dashboard light that wasn’t related to the work they did, just to make sure I understood everything about my vehicle. As a woman, I especially appreciated that they treated me with respect and fairness, never talking down to me or changing their tone once my husband arrived. They focused on helping, not selling. I highly recommend this location especially for women who want an auto shop they can truly trust. I would absolutely return for future service!

I came in for an oil change, and bought an additional cabin filter replacement. The person who checked me in was super nice. The waiting room was pleasant. Another employee let me know about my tires and brakes and advised me to get replacements (which I politely declined since I wasn't planning on doing that today) and said my car would be done in 10 minutes. I waited an extra hour. That employee totally vanished and didn't follow up with me even after my car was already up front. Nobody was at the front desk. A couple cars were serviced in the bay I was at, while I was still waiting to get my keys. I'm really not a fan of paying fast oil change prices and still waiting over an hour and a half from start to finish like I was at Walmart. Only reason it wasn't longer is that I was able to flag down a totally different employee after he finished with a customer picking up her car. He got my keys quickly. From the other reviews this seems like not a frequent thing on their part. They seem busy and it might be a one off situation. That being said I can't say I'm inclined to go back.

I had good experiences here in the past, but something has changed in late 2025. They aligned my car without checking first, and then I noticed the alignment was actually wrong they tried to charge my AGAIN! As best I can tell they basically messed my alignment up and tried to double charge me to fix it. I had previously really liked this shop, but won't be going back any time soon now. Follow-up: I responded to the note below and never heard more.

went to get an oil change as well as an inspection, right off the bat they started to point things out as wrong with my car, my oil change was going to be over $100, so i declined their service and parked further down in the parking lot to figure out where i wanted to go. they followed my car to tell me the would then lower the prices… are we serious? lmfao. people were nice and i appreciate the offer but it’s ridiculous.

Never ever go here the Manager here I think his name is Daren if I remember correctly but I could be wrong on the name but the wait I was treated I will never forget. I went in for a oil change in entire rotation. I was quoted one price and then when I went to the register, I was told another price while waiting for oil change the manager, bring me cabin, air filter, and an air filter and stated that they needed to be replaced. I told him I was not interested. Shake them out put them back in because they visually had some dust on them. He told me that they don’t do that here so I asked them to give them to me. He made me go all the way outside in the parking lot to make it inconvenient for me to shake them. After after their experiencing that I figured I should pay attention to my bill because this guy was trying to play against my intelligence not realizing that I’ve purchased over 30 cars in my lifetime and I work on cars myself. I just needed a quick oil change tire rotation. After working my bill up because he says there was an up charge because my Toyota tundra takes 9 quarts of oil. My oil change turned into $150 from $100 which I was quoted in the beginning he did not want to talk to me anymore after that and he put one of his employees under him to try to handle me which they were polite, but he is a superior and he chose to go sit down in a chair and not address me as a customer when he was a manager in the store. I have a problem with him. I have a problem with his leadership and I don’t think he should be in a leadership position and I stand on it. after all of this, they never reset my oil light. They didn’t put a sticker in the car, and my tires were never rotated.

I went to speedee yesterday. I waited there 3 1/2 hours for windshield wipers to be drlivered after a car inspection. The first ones that were delivered one of them was broken. So they had to bring a second windshield wiper back over. Let me state this. I do not blame them for taking so long to be delivered from advance auto parts. Since the parts store was 0.3 miles down the road I wanted to go pick up the part. Since no one should have to wait 3 1/2 hours for windshield wipers. My problem with it is I was told I could not have my keys and leave with my car because there could be police out there and they could not allow me to drive my car after it didn’t pass inspection. They would get fined $500 from the police. If I left there, and got caught from the police. Let me say it wasn’t even raining. I even said this to the guys. I was so upset. I called a friend of mine and he told me that was not true. He said if you were a guy they wouldn’t have told you that because you would’ve known better. I do not like the feeling of being taken advantage of. So essentially they kept my car from me. They would not give me the keys to my car. If they would not have lied to me this would not have been an issue. When I left there, I was mad at the parts delivery place not at Speedee. It is not OK to take advantage of someone because they don’t know the information and because I’m a woman. Pissed consumer!

I have been a loyal customer at Speedee for years with no issues. I recently had an inspection in September and they said I needed new brake pads to past inspection so I approved the work. Today I went to get 4 new tires at Mavis and was told 3 lug nuts were missing and one of them was stripped and needed replacement. I had to pay Mavis to repair the lug nuts. I called Speedee to complain about the lug nuts, the guy said it been so long ago they were not responsible and it only been less than 6 months. Speedee will never get any more of my business, they are not responsible and will deny any wrongdoing. The guy I spoke with needs a customer service class he just kept denying any responsibility and threatened to hang up on me , terrible customer service! I haven’t had any tire work on my car since Speedee did my brakes so whoever they mechanic that did the work over torqued my lug nuts or didn’t tighten them enough. I will never use Speedee again and you should not either! Speedee lives up to their name get you in and out as quick as possible, they don’t care how it’s done! Also I needed a reverse brake light switch replaced, they quoted me $600, i bought the switch at Toyota for $15 and went to an Amigo mechanic down the street, he did it for $100 so be aware Speedee over charges on mechanical work and bad work! I also had to take my car back after an oil change because it was leaking, they said it was a bad washer which should be changed every oil change. It leaked all over my new driveway an was told to buy some chemicals to clean it myself, again no accountability! I had too many issues with Speedee! Read the other bad reviews on Yelp about oil leaks and overcharging on services!
