Never get back to this place again. This is my second time to experience this at take 5 get oil change. I stop by for it again and the guy name Tom told me I need air filter. I told him I don't need to replace it now he unplug the air hose going to the engine and told me everything okay but I need to replace it soon. I know air filter doesn't make that much difference on it unless if it is completely dirty. The car that's shaking that I didn't experience this before. I drove to tech campus and stop there to be safe immediately when I open the hood the hose is unplug the air is getting to the engine directly. I wish why he doesn't ask me that I don't need change or tell me he wants ti sell for me. This is my second time to experience this at take 5 and I will never use there service again!

Price is extremely too high for an oil change. Bolton’s closed early on Saturdays and I work M-F 8-8 and Sat. 9-1, so I missed their hours but needed an oil change ASAP. I pulled up while they were walking to their cars, so I took a right on Indiana to try Take 5. Never again. Most staff were great! The mechanic who seems to be running the show and going under the vehicles is a pro; he made sure we had updates on time and worked on one of our trucks. The mechanic I had at check out didn’t bring me the dirty oil, didn’t show me the air filter but wanted me to replace it, and was both impatient and a little unkind to another mechanic, who had questions and seemed to be learning/training. I also have a ‘94 V6 S10, so things are sometimes in different places not where you expect; I don’t blame that kid for having a couple questions. He asked three questions, and each time the guy I had seemed irritated or frustrated that he “interrupted” him; the kid even said, ”I’m sorry, I just want to make sure I get it right,” which is great to hear as a customer. Price is an issue. I’ve never paid over $60 total for an oil change, so being charged $87 was ridiculous. He said they only had one type of oil for my truck, so I couldn’t choose the cheaper synthetic blend or conventional, only the full synthetic. Again, ‘94 Chevy S10, so I chose high mileage but the difference is only a couple dollars. And they had already drained my oil, so I couldn’t just drive away… He also said my filters had never been changed, but I’ve changed them myself; this was concerning.

Despite some complications that occurred during my visit, the mistake was more than made up for, and we can't grow or learn without mistakes. Our lovely technician was new and learning :) and that should be rewarded. He was also going through a rough time, like many of us, and I was not about to make it worse. That helps nobody. While it was frustrating, a breather was taken and I reevaluated. I gave him a bread free of charge from my friend's baking business, an ear, and a hug to make sure he knew it was okay. The manager took us home and gave us the oil change and transmission refill free of charge, and got my car out first thing in the morning. And 50% the next visit. Mistakes happen. Take care of these workers. I'll be back :) thank you.

I’ve been going to Take 5 Oil Change businesses in Lubbock, Arlington, and Colleyville, Texas for 5+ years and have always been satisfied with the services they provided. However, today at the 3009 50th Street location in Lubbock, Texas we received the BEST services we’ve ever experienced at a TAKE 5. John Beard was EXCELLENT! His level of professionalism and the care he took with our car was OUTSTANDING. I’ve never had anyone ask whether we would like our Ford Expedition cabin filter checked. I didn’t know we had one. He was patient and took the extra time to remove the filter from the interior of our car. It was filthy! He replaced the filter for us. I highly recommend this Take 5 location and APPRECIATE the care and service that John Beard provided my husband and I with today.

Very upset employee wanted to argue with me about scanning a coupon. So I didn't get my discount and on top of that my oil was not topped off.. it only went a bit over the first dot. Its ridiculous to pay $146.00 and not get the complete service. All I got was a very upset employee that didn't want to give me a refund and charge me correctly and to top off the oil. He told me he would need to charge me again to top it off. Over all experience very disappointed. Would no recommend 50th location in Lubbock to NO one.
