My experience at The Car Shop was excellent in every way. When my car popped an alternator light, a friend strongly recommended this shop for any work that I needed done. When I called, they were able to take my car in right away. Since I was having work done anyway, I also asked them to inspect and recharge my air conditioner as well. While they were doing this they discovered a major failure in a component that had been discontinued. Instead of giving up, the staff at The Car Shop went out of their way to develop a solution that fixed the problem and returned the system to full function. They were knowledgeable, professional, and went the extra mile for me. I will work with them again if I have car issues and will recommend them to friends.

I’ve been to see Tracy twice now. Once for a water pump repair under my Repair Pal warranty and once for general maintenance with brakes/rotors, etc. With my warranty, I didn’t feel like a middle man - they handled it all without me even having to look up my contract number & I was in a rental car with Repair Pal 3 hours after I dropped of my car to him. For my general maintenance issues, the service was fast and efficient and he explained all the charges before completing any work. I will absolutely be back!

I have had my vehicle at this place two times. Both times I have been treated amazing. I was given all of the information each time. The first was a simple battery, but I was provided some tips for dealing with the battery on my specific model of vehicle. The second time, I was dealing with a blown AC compressor during 95+ degree weather. They called to let me know the warranty people were not being cooperative and only willing to cover just over half of the factory part. It was explained to me very clearly what it would mean if I went with the warranty companies part versus The Car Shop's recommendation. These folks give you like it is and I would 100% recommend them. Honesty in the car world is in short supply but not at The Car Shop.

Tracy and his team are absolutely amazing. In amongst a sea of shady mechanics preying on the ill-informed, they are a breath of fresh air. They do great automotive work, in a quick and efficient manner, with transparent pricing. I even took a used vehicle to them for their review prior to purchase, and they gave their honest assessment of the car, greatly assisting in my decision making. It can be very hard to trust mechanics but I can say The Car Shop has earned my trust and business

I scheduled an appointment through my vehicle finance company and they recommended me to The Car Shop. I scheduled last minute they were able to approve my appointment within 24hours took the vehicle for brake repairs and was done less than 2 hours. The customer service was on point he directed me through the entire process and really took his time, the manager Tracy, to show me exactly what was causing my vehicle to make a loud noise. He was about to educate me through the process. I waited in the waiting room and it was nice and clean. Highly recommend, this is my preferred repair facility now. Thank you you guys so much.

Highly recommend. I brought my truck there because it periodically failed to start. Upon arrival (Jeff the owner) immediately took his machine to trouble shoot the problem. He was honest and professional. Spent time trying to find a solution and eventually recommended me to send it to the dealer due to a recall of the car. He could have charged me for the time but told me there was no charge. Thank you again Jeff!!!

Just purchased a used BMW and wanted to check the brakes after hearing a little squeal. Tracy put it up on the lift and checked out the brakes and rotors. Told me they have at least half the service life left. He even took it out for a little drive to make sure there wasn’t anything he was missing either. Didn’t want me spending money I didn’t need to. Bottom line is he and his crew are top notch. Wouldn’t charge me anything for his time to reassure me all was good either. We just moved back to the Hampton Roads area. Won’t be using anyone else going forward. This is our mechanic now.

Tracey had amazing customer service both over the phone & in person. This establishment offers military discount as well which I can appreciate. The car shop is a great place to take your vehicle. I didn’t have a repair place so I took it here out of the list of place offered for my vehicle warranty. The staff were nice and approachable. They answered whatever questions I had. They stayed in communication with me when they received the parts and how long from then they expected it to take, etc. The repair did not take as long as I expected and called me as soon as it was ready (which saved me more money on my rental). If I need any repairs down the line (hopefully not) I’ll be bringing my truck back to them. Very professional and everything working good as new.
