Went in for a frontend alignment on 95 Chevy 1500 everyone was nice and courteous. About $200 out the door, kinda on the high side. I had purchased my own tie rod ends from Autozone $250. Asked about a quote on replacing tie rod ends. They don't accept customer parts brought in. They came back with $1050 for everything. All I can say is for the amount of money they were asking for on a 95 chevy they could have put another $2500 with what they were asking to replace the tie rod ends and bought the truck. Pay these prices at your own risk!

I've had a positive experience with a recent vehicle repair at Thomas Tire in Burlington, NC, unlike a negative experience I've encountered elsewhere. A recent issue involving a heavy clunking noise on uneven roads led me to another established tire business, where two mechanics found no problems and suggested the muffler as a potential source. The following week, I scheduled an appointment with Thomas Tire. Within hours, they diagnosed a broken rear shock. Furthermore, their mechanic identified a broken front CV axle boot lacking grease, proactively preventing a more significant issue. The repairs were completed satisfactorily the same day, exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Thomas Tire!

Billy diagnoses the problem and explains issue clearly without the least bit of condescension like women often get at some garages. I discovered a screw in one of my tires early on June 4, 2025, which was causing air loss. I immediately put air in my tire and drove to the Thomas Tire location on South Fayetteville St in Asheboro. Although I did not have an appointment, and the crew was extremely busy, they had someone address my tire issue immediately, and had me back on the road in less than an hour. Everyone there was very cordial, helpful, as well as professional.

I wasn't giving all the details when I bought the tires. I thought the wheel alignment came with purchasing the brand new tires along with the balancing. In fact, I didn't find out until the new tires was on and then ask me if I want to get a Wheel alignment. When he quoted me a price, he didn't say anything about wheel alignment. So I thought that came with it. You should have given me all the information. When I came in. Here the day before I got the tires.

I've never met a more honest, competent.or kinder group of people. They have now twice fixed issues caused by other car repair services. They will not fix things that are not broken and they have a fantastic price structure. I live an hour away and wait until I come into town for car repairs.

I thought I could trust this place as I have been coming here for a few years to get an inspection. Well a few months ago, I didn’t have the time to rotate my tires so I brought my car here to have that done and an oil change. Yesterday, I go to rotate my tires myself and I noticed they put my directional tires on the wrong way and have been like this for months now and now I will have to have new tires soon because they didn’t put them on right. Yeah I’m not happy considering you are KNOWN to be a tire shop and you can’t even put them on right? That’s ridiculous. Won’t be back for NOTHING anymore.

My car failed inspection for something I wasn’t expecting. I got sour and this shop turned my frown right side up. They sent a van to pick me up after I lost my cool. Very professional driver, courteous and respectful. Once back at the shop, the counter reached out to a local junkyard and ended up saving me 250 dollars. This was possible because of a decades long working relationship with that yard. This is something you don’t see anymore, just like the restored 1950’s sedan they had on the back lift. I came here because the first 4 shops couldn’t operate a standard transmission. Customer for life. Thank you!

I recently took my '74 Ford Gran Torino to Thomas Tire & Automotive for some issues that needed fixed. I could not be happier with the service I received from this business. They were able to resolve a problem with the electrical system that I had not been able to correct. They were very thorough and fixed 2 other small issues while I was there. The price they charged was more than reasonable and I finally feel I have somewhere to take my car I can trust. I highly recommend Thomas Tire & Automotive and will definitely be using their services and expertise again for ALL my automotive repair needs.
