Went in for a simple State inspection. Was told it would take a couple hours due to being busy so I figured 2 and half, 3 hours tops. Nope, took 4 and still ended up sitting there waiting. Best part(sarcastically of course), I went to leave, got about half a block down the road (not even to the Taco Bell that's right there) and my hood flies up, bending(damaged) the hood, and cracked the windshield. The mechanic who did the inspection said he closed the hood but obviously did not as I've never had any issues. Will not be returning except to give them a bill for the damage they have caused. I can't trust them to make sure my hood is closed, why would I want them to replace my windshield? I would not recommend going here unless you want to leave with more problems then you came in with.

I had to visit the shop multiple times across 5 days to get my tires changed. Each time I had to explain again what I needed, get 1 step closer and then ultimately have to come back to the shop to get the next step accomplished. One trip was simply to put a deposit on the new tire I told them I wanted on the first visit but that no steps were taken to accomplish until the third visit. Who doesn’t take payments over the phone or online?? Especially when you let me leave before coming to this realization. I finally make it to install day and am told it will take 60-90 minutes only to be still waiting 3 hours later making me late for my next appointment. Again, something communicated and presumably prepared for prior to my arrival. These are just two examples of the multiple ways that things were not thought through and effectively communicated. Truly a disappointing experience from start to finish.

Amazing service from Ryan and Levi at the North Battlefield Tire Choice. Initially had wheels balanced at a different Tire Choice, and the tech identified ONE wheel as being out-of-round, but also recommended new shocks and struts - my rear shocks were FIVE DAYS OLD. This resulted in going to the North Battlefield Tire Choice for rebalancing after having the wheel repaired. Ryan got me scheduled very quickly and Levi identified TWO additional wheels with visibly obvious damage - something the original Tire Choice neglected to mention.

I appreciate Tire Choice Auto for completing my VA State Inspection over the holiday weekend, particularly since many other shops were not accepting appointments or walk-ins at that time. The only concern was that I dropped my vehicle off on Saturday morning with the expectation it would be ready by Sunday. However, due to a paperwork error, I was not contacted and did not retrieve my car until Monday. Overall, the service was satisfactory and I will plan more proactively in the future rather than waiting until the last minute.

This only has 5 stars, but I assure you it's worth it's weight in gold and more than 5 stars. The guys up front, the service writers, are so dang friendly and caring. From hearing them on the phone talking to people, people who came in needing something, they were kind and respectful. I am a senior and took my car in for a state, oil change, tire balance. I drove from Norfolk to this location because of it's high ratings and recommendations. I waited patiently for about 1 1/2 hrs. During that time, I had the best conversations with the guys working up front. They're quite engaging and instead of sitting being bored, I found myself engaged in delightful conversations. I've sat in many shops before and yes there are nice ones out there. This is one of the better nice ones out there. Thank you Tire Choice! Now you're stuck with me .... look what you've done! lol

I've been a loyal customer at this Tire Choice location for nearly 10 years, but sadly, the quality of service has declined sharply. Most recently, I dropped off my vehicle at 4 PM for a routine state inspection scheduled for the following day. By 6:30 PM the next day, the inspection still hadn’t been completed—completely unacceptable for a service that’s historically been handled the same day. I didn’t get my car back until nearly noon on the second day. This kind of delay for a simple inspection is frustrating and unprofessional. If the shop can no longer handle the volume of vehicles in a timely manner, they shouldn’t continue accepting more than they can reasonably service. It now feels like efficient, honest service has taken a back seat to pushing unnecessary repairs and upsells. To make matters worse, I was charged over $89 to remove a windshield tint strip they claimed caused the vehicle to fail inspection—despite the fact that the same strip was passed without issue during last year’s inspection at this very location. Even more frustrating, my son’s car—with an even larger tint strip—passed inspection here just a couple of months ago. When I raised this inconsistency, the service manager simply said, “All state inspectors are different.” That kind of vague and inconsistent standard doesn’t inspire confidence. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that this location is no longer what it used to be. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. A decade of loyalty deserves better.

I recently used Tire Choice for car service and was very disappointed with the overall experience. I’ve been a loyal customer at this location since it was Kramer Tire (over 30 years), but this visit was completely unacceptable. From the start, communication was poor, and I constantly had to follow up on my own for updates. When I dropped off my vehicle, I was told it would take only a few days, yet after almost a month I still hadn’t received a single phone call. I finally reached out myself, and only then was I told the car would be ready the next day. When I picked up the vehicle, the check engine light came on the very next day. I brought it back and explained the issue, and they said they would look into it. Weeks passed with no updates. It wasn’t until my wife wrote to the corporate office that I finally received a call—saying the matter had been turned over to their insurance people and I could come pick up my car. This type of service is not acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend Tire Choice to anyone—not even for something as simple as adding air to a tire. When Richard was working there, I never had problems, but the professionalism of the current staff is far below satisfactory. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Tire Choice to others. Reliable communication, timely work, and trustworthy service are the basics of any car repair business, and this company failed to meet those standards.

Set out to run errands to find my car battery not functioning. Lived right behind Tire Choice Auto Service Center on Battlefield Blvd. North, so walked over to see if they could come and jump the battery so it could be driven over to their parking lot and have a new one installed. Ryan was at the front desk and came quickly to take care of the situation. I drove my car back to my apartment lot with a new battery installed, a quote for new tires, and renewed peace of mind. The business was neat and clean, w/seating for customer waiting. And Ryan was professional, knowledgeable and also friendly. I'm definitely seeing Tire Choice as the most likely pick for my go-to spot covering All automotive needs - services, products and repairs.
