Came in a few weeks ago to return some parts that came from a different Toyota store because this store is now closer to my home. The guy at the counter never mentioned that I needed to go to the actual Toyota store that I purchased them at to return. Said the computer system was down and not working and to come back in a few weeks. I come in today and am told that the computers are back up and running but because these parts are from a different store I can’t return them. Wish I was told this from the start. Wasted my time and my gas to come all the way down here to be told I need to return to the original store. Doesn’t make any sense, Toyota parts is Toyota parts. Some company. This would be like buying something from Bestbuy on the East coast, moving to the west coast a week later and the part braking but you have to now go back to the East coast to make the return. My parts are in brand new condition so there should be no reason to accept a return. Dealships suck.

I recently visited the parts department at Boulder Toyota, and unfortunately, I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. The employee at the counter was rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in helping me. He interrupted me multiple times while I was trying to explain what part I needed, appeared impatient, and gave an attitude from the start. The most unprofessional moment, however, was when he pulled out his personal cell phone and took a call while I was speaking—without even acknowledging me or asking me to hold. When I called him out on it, his response was a half-hearted “sorry, I had to take that call,” which only made things worse. To top it off, when I told him what part I needed, he rudely laughed and insisted it wouldn’t work on my vehicle. I ordered it anyway, and sure enough, it was exactly what I needed. His sarcastic “good luck” as I picked up the part only reinforced how unprofessional and dismissive he was throughout the entire interaction. As someone who works in a supervisory role, I can confidently say that behavior like this is completely unacceptable in any customer-facing position. Knowledge means nothing if you lack basic respect for customers. This employee needs serious retraining on professionalism, patience, and customer service—because based on my experience, he is doing a major disservice to the Toyota brand. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this dealership’s parts department anytime soon.
