Made a 1p appt for a TIRE ROTATION & “inspection” - they said 3 hours, which I said ok but highly doubted it would take that long as I could rotate my tires in less time than that. it is now 5p - 4 HOURS later and I’m about to go back out and check with them again. This is our 2nd time here and 2nd time this has happened (first time they were kinda busy so gave them benefit of the doubt) Never recommending service here to anyone!!!

Place is very well run. The service advisor; Ken was very helpful. I just had the 30 month service done and the car was ready even before he said it would be. I like that they take videos and pictures of what maintenance they are performing and also of what they think should be done and ask you if you want it done that day.

Overall Rating: Highly Dissatisfied I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the level of craftsmanship and service I received from this Toyota Service Department. The core service requested was a seemingly straightforward towing hitch modification and trailer light hookup on my new 2025 Toyota Highlander, along with a roof rack installation. The total cost was $4,350. The service experience failed in three critical areas: 1. Pricing and Transparency Failure Mid-way through the work, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $700 "wiring" fee. This significant charge was not included in the initial quote and was sprung on me after the process had begun, showing a clear lack of transparency in the pricing for a standard hitch installation. 2. Failure to Meet Time Commitment The service was not completed on time as promised, which caused significant inconvenience and disrupted my schedule. 3. Substandard Craftsmanship and Professionalism The most concerning issue is the shockingly poor quality of the final installation. The trailer light wiring and adapter were left looking "home-brewed" and unprofessional. Specifically: The exposed wiring is an eyesore. The entire assembly extends visibly beyond the rear bumper. When I pointed out the substandard appearance and asked for a modification to make the installation look more professional and integrated—as one would expect from an official Toyota service center—the team member's response was unacceptable. I was told, "we're still playing around with install types," and was simply sent on my way.

First off. You bought a Toyota. Genius move. Secondly you decided to maintain your Toyota like an adult. Turns out if you do that it lasts 250k+ miles. Third, you let Toyota Carlsbad take care of you. People are nice and want to help you. Prices are reasonable. Imagine owning a Jeep or Range Rover or Jaguar and trying to deal with the service nonsense. I actually feel bad for the people that work at those facilities. My only complaint is that one time the toilet paper was under instead of over the top. I will die on that hill.

David Wade was my service advisor and let me just say I recommend him over any of the other service advisors. I’m a younger guy and the other times I’ve taken my car in I feel as other advisor treated me poorly because of that and have made poor comments on my vehicle to my face which was kind of upsetting because I had just pulled up for my appointment, but not David. He took the time to answer my questions, show me pictures of all the concerns with my car and kept me updated regularly, which I much appreciated. I’ll only use David as my advisor for now on and I appreciate how good of a job he does

I brought my RAV4 in see Cody Fedder March 2026 (1st time at Carlsbad Toyota after Esc Toyota could not solve and was turned away several times) for steering wheel warning icon on/off my dash and multi issues for 4 years re hub interface system using Android phone. Cody requested a meeting for me and Tony Pereira (specialist) and Jamie Martin (Shop Forman) to sit down and review my binder full of detailed notes, pictures and prior Toyota service records. We had a meeting for at least 1 hr;. They kept my RAV 4overnight for running tests on battery, etc.by Jamie. Tony sat with me in vehicle and unpaired cell/car and rebooted system, while I took notes to be able to do again myself when/if needed. Cody provided a free rental car ,due to the situation. They could not find any cause of steering wheel warning that comes/goes w/i seconds f(appearing for the past couple of months), but recommended that I consider replacing the battery, which could solve battery level of fluctuations to equipment and sensors. All android cell phones are known to not be very compatible with Apple Play equipment (as should work reasonably well with ALL new vehicles as stated for sales) but hopefully mine is better now, after changes were made. I am very pleased with Carlsbad quick, professional and pleasant service, teamwork, open and honest collaboration between them and me and searching and problem solving attempts, fast replies via phone updates, exceptional customer service, knowledge, friendly and engaging conversations by all three individuals! The entire building was exceptional, providing open niches for sitting throughout the area, spotless restroom, friendly employees, even 'real' food available (not just snack machine); completely different physical and procedural atmosphere from Escondido Toyota which lacks in availability to discuss any/all isses after dropping off the vehicle and a quick review with the intake person, and difficulty in get timely updates as well as not having any areas for personal space while waiting and no food served.; just a snack machine and coffee. Carlsbad even has a free shuttle that goes to/from the Carlsbad Outlet center, every hour during 10-3 pm ! I couldn't be happier to find a dealership that truly cares not just about your vehicle, but you as a person and what you experience while waiting! Good job everyone, especially Cody Fedder, Tony Pereira and Jamie Martin!!! Thank you for making my frustration into a pleasant experience. And the best part....I paid nothing due to concrete resolution not yet found! What a difference from multiple attempts to communicate these issues with Esc Toyota!!! I will return to them (and avoid Esc Toyota) if/when the same or other issues come back or arise ,and if they remain prevalent (solid warning light on dash and/or displayed on hub), so they can see it and hook up equipment to find the exact solution.

I had an excellent experience at Toyota Carlsbad, and I want to give special thanks to Corinna for the outstanding service. From start to finish, Corinna kept me updated throughout the entire service process with clear, timely communication, which I really appreciated. The whole experience felt smooth and well organized, and the staff was professional and welcoming. The facility itself is great — very comfortable, with nice refreshment options and good coffee, which made the wait much more pleasant. As a bonus, I was also given a voucher for a free car wash next door, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. I loved how beautifully your system runs-however as a widow who’s husband took care of everything this was my fist time and needed one on one explanation of what was done. My adult sons want to know and I couldn’t answer them. I did talk to the women later on the phone that I made my appt with and she explained it in detail. She was out to lunch when I came in. I think if someone filled in for her that would have been the ticket. I hope i explained myself well. Customer service is excellent.

I came in today with a service appointment for an oil change. I waited over 20 minutes for the service advisor. And when he came out, he told me I was late and that I would have to wait 3 to 4 hours to get my oil change done. Dave is the most rude and condescending service advisor. I also find it interesting that they have a special tire service advisor, but they can’t even inflate the tires of the car’s in their showrooms. On a separate occasion, I came into the parts department to purchase battery and their system was so bad that they couldn’t refund the $22 for the core fee. I had to wait for two weeks to get a check in the mail. If you can go to another dealership, avoid this one.

10k miles and oil all underneath after service as well as on the cover. I'm hoping its just sloppy snd not negligence. Will have to take it in if she survives the weekend. UPDATE After an hour and half at the dealer seems to be corrected. I hope to keep service here with high standards.

Toyota is great!! I would give more stars if I could! My RAV4’s paint was peeling off and I found out it was under warranty to fix the issue of a faulty primer. The warranty was up in a few days. My service rep Aloha was SO helpful going through the departments to make sure it got in! I was very appreciative! Toyota gave me a rental to use while they painted my vehicle at NO charge! When my car was ready I couldn’t believe how beautiful it looked! It’s like a brand new RAV4 now! They did such an awesome job! It’s amazing!! I was so happy I had tears of joy!! My RAV4 is a 2015 and looks like I just drive a brand new one off the lot!! I love it! I am so grateful to Aloha and the whole Toyota team that made it happen! Sending blessings to all of you!
