Staff were courteous and respectful. At some point while there, my car got a ding in the rear fender. It did not previously exist and that was the only place the car went that day. So that was disappointing, but difficult to prove.

Ok my Volvo was nagging me about service. I needed NYS Inspection, it was overdue already by a day. Imagine my surprise when I go to the website and they offered an appointment on the same day at 8:15 am! I thought it was going to be a week or 2. So I get there at 8:15am. Paul helped me. He looked over the records, asked me question clarifying what I wanted done. I wanted a trailer hitch installed. The XC60 T8 has a very odd motorized trailer hitch, unlike any of the other models. So I didn't think they'd have one. So he went and checked with parts for me. Nope, but he said he could have one in a few days. OK. So then he gets Chris to give me a ride back to work. Zero wait. Chris was the nicest guy ever. Turns out we went to the same high school. Back to work in 10 minutes. Wow. THen I get a call from Paul. They found a hitch for me. Wow! So when I went to pick up the car, Paul then comes out to the lot with me to show me how it worked, and where they'd put the bag with ball and pin. So best automobile service ever.

I contacted Volvo Rochester for a repair. My car was almost 3 week past the warranty expiration. Nick was able to get the parts and labor covered by Volvo. Saved me some money! I called him St Nick for going above and beyond to get it covered!!! They also gave me a loaner! You really cannot beat the service at Volvo Rochester!

Very disappointed on how the Volvo dealership in Rochester has turned into a cookie cutter car dealership. My family and I have purchased cars there for over 40 years and we are not coming back. The service person was sexist and disrespectful to my wife and was trying to up charge us with all the issues on the 14-year-old car. Not falling for it. Being a customer for over 40 years, they did not have my information in their system. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Once the car was picked up, new issues arose that were not there previously, but I will not be taking it back there. Would recommend the dealership in Syracuse. I only gave them a two star rating one because of my history and sentimental feelings about the place and two because they did give me an inspection and fix my rotors.

I've never had a problem per se at this Volvo dealer in some years of going there. However last time I went in for an oil change, they recommended rear bushings which would be about $1000. (They recommended this a year ago as well.) This confused me a little bit because usually when bushings go, you'll get a rough ride or feel some vibrations, but nothing. Smooth ride. I was curious so I took it into another highly respected & reviewed repair shop in the area for a second opinion - which told me they checked out all the bushings and found absolutely no need to replace anything and that everything looked perfect. (They told me 2 different people looked at the car and drove it as well to make sure nothing was awry.) Trust is everything in this business... so this left me confused and thinking I'm going to be moving my business to the other repair shop from now on. Will update if anything changes.

Every time they take such good care of me. They go out of their way to be helpful, they are honest and up front and the service is always top notch. I drive an hour out of my way to go to them because my local dealership where I bought my car is horrible (Northtowns in Buffalo). Rochester Volvo is completely the opposite of Northtowns. We often wonder if an auto repair shop is interested in us or in our money. I went in to this Volvo dealership without and appointment and with a flat tire needing repaired, which is likely the lowest revenue service they would offer. Despite the fact that I was not a high value ticket for them, they treated me like a king... courteous, respectful, attentive, and -of course- efficient. Not a big customer visit for them, but proof to me that they value my visit independent of how much I spend. Thank you!

Dealership performed piston replacement\rebuild via extended Volvo corporate warranty for oil consumption. Directly following, engine developed a small external oil leak from a gasket reassembly. Not a big issue, but Service Dept claimed they would not stand behind their work within stated 15k mi warranty because “customer had not paid for the job directly” but rather via Volvo corporate under warranty. Ponder that logic… After refusing offer to correct for +$400, proposed waiving if I would bundle with +$1k of other ‘maintenance’. Several distortions in my interaction- suggest rethinking of a profits-first philosophy.
