I had my reservations about Walmart centers for tires but the last two times I had to use them I've gotten amazing service, quick and amazing customer service as well. I definite recommendation to hit up University store anytime you have an issue.

I got to tell you for 20 years this store has not had chili dog sauce of any kind but they still have it excellent price on tires and decent tires my last four sets of tires in 20 years have mostly came from this store itself on University picked up two of the same kind 18 years ago in Washington because I would have had to order them in Peoria always been a good deal especially on SUV tires all terrain all-weather!"but seriously no chili dog or coney sauce you can get that at any gas station what's up with that?"

I have gotten a nail in my right rear tire which was in the sidewall so I knew it couldn't be repaired had to be replaced I had the road hazard warranty so I have gotten a brand new tire and only have to pay for the new warranty on the new tire the service was fast friendly an excellent

These guys do a great job on tires. The prices are competitive and they don’t try to over sell you on tires or other maintenance. Have had multiple tires replaced. Plus as an added bonus you can cruise wal mart while you wait for them to finish your tires, have a sandwich in the subway, peruse the garden center. Watch some TV or play some X Box. I seldom chose to do this and simply get a ride and wait for them to call. It’s usually right in time. Eat in and easy out nothing else you could ask for. Added bonus one of the few places that you can get free air for your tires rather than the $2 bucks at the gas station.

I helped an employee who was stranded with a shredded tire. Took him to buy a cheap tire and then took it to the Auto Center where they had a very difficult time getting the rubber off the rim. Jason took on the challenge and did not give up. Took a while, but he got it. Loved his determination. Thanks Jason!!!

I brought my car there to get my rear driver side tire sealed because I had a slow leak. The tech they had couldn’t get my tire off my rim but said they could seal it without removing the tire completely from the rim by breaking the bead and putting bead sealer on the rim. After they got done the tech was backing up my car and ran into another car in the parking lot. A couple days later the same tire is leaking and my bumper is cracked and scratched. I take it back to them complaining that the tire still is leaking. The start telling me they’re not able to do my tire because it’s aftermarket rims. And it doesn’t fit their tire machine. But here’s the crazy part it’s a stock 16 inch rim and they already had it on their machine just a couple days prior. I take it to another tire place and they said Walmart never sealed my tire the first. They had no issue removing my tire and sealing it.

Wonderful service in the auto care center! I went in for an oil change and I was in and out within 30 minutes, just like the young man said. I wish I knew the names of the young man that took care of me at the register and the name of the technician that took care of my car. Excellent service and both gentlemen were nice and polite. In serious need of customer service training. The guy is friendly enough, no doubt. But terrible at greeting and service. It only takes 5 minutes to greet and get basic information. I just needed to drop a tire off to swap on my way to drop my son at school. Didn't acknowledge i walked in, continued to chat with customer that was in there, which is fine he was there first. But after he was done talking to him, went outside to pull another car in and didn't come back to greet me or ask what i needed. Again, just wanted to drop a tire off, 5 minutes and out. After 15 minutes I couldn't wait any longer. A little training goes a long way.

Brian was awesome for his recommendation for road hazard. The whole team was great. Even with the crabby customer that came in. I'm almost never impressed by Walmart. But the auto care center today was great. Keep up the good work guys! We'll be back.

HORRIBLE, I went for an oil change & a tire repair. I should’ve known something was off, when he told me my tire repair comes with an oil change the INCOMPETENCE!!! So my oil change was completed, but surprise they had to book my truck back in for the SEPARATE SERVICE TIRE REPAIR. Mind you I got to the store at 9/9:15AM on 5/17/2024 they 1st booked my car in at 9:35am according to my texts. Service for the OIL CHANGE started at 10:04AM and was done at 10:38AM. However, it was booked back in at 10:43AM for the TIRE REPAIR. Mind you I’m doing all of this for my nieces graduation that I needed my truck for. So, from 10:38AM I sat there WAITING patiently. And LAINE/LANE, made it his business to come and inform me that my front bumper had been pulled off by the machine that lifts the car. I was told The operator of the machine did not properly do some thing, I later found out that his name is (JOSH). My truck wasn’t done until 12:14PM according to my text. I completed a claim report the day of before I left the store back in MAY 2024. I got all of my info and sent it to DUSTIN my so called adjuster. FOR WEEKS I HEARD NOTHING. A month ago I called that store 34 times trying to get someone to at least reach out to the claim center TO CALL ME BACK & NOTHING. the first time i called i was told that lane was on lunch which was fine, until i never received a call back EVER so i called back 3hrs later only to be told that he was still on lunch. From there yes I became upset, I’ve been hung up on, laughed at, and mocked (HONESTLY) Fast forward 2 months & 3 weeks & STILL NOTHING I actually contacted the police and was told it was a civil matter, understood I left work and went to the store on UNIVERSITY in PEORIA IL. Unfortunately I had to make them call the police on me at the store after LANE hung up in my face again! In store on 7/19/2024! I no longer wanted to speak with him as the Manager or whatever his title is, I asked for the store manager and Laine/lane told me that he was on vacation and NO OTHER MANAGER WAS THERE (another lie, because he offered the assistant manager JOSH that I spoke with only after the police had come.) ASSISTANT MANAGER JOSH LIED AS WELL, he personally assured me that the claim center would reach out to me on a SATURDAY (a weekend, odd right?) I gave the benefit of the doubt and waited until today MONDAY 7/29/2024 & NOTHING I called the store 12 times today and ASST MANAGER JOSH is not in today (this is so sad its comical) people work hard for their things, just for them to tear it up and not want to fix it. I’ve sent emails, I’ve left voicemails, & NOTHING. So I’ll be contacting the CHICAGO BAR FOUNDATION SOON!!! DO NOT TRUST THEIR INCOMPETENCE WITH YOUR PROPERTY….GO ELSE WHERE DO NOT USE WALMART FOR ANY AUTO SERVICE THEY PLAY AROUND WAY TOO MUCH, WORK PLACE FUN IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!
