I completed my RV annual Virginia state inspection at W. Service Center the process was easy took a little more than an hour. The line wasn’t too long and the inspector was on site ready to go completed the inspection and I was out the door In a little more than an hour. They service cars and big trucks at this location. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking and easy access. Always a consideration when you’re driving a 39 foot RV will be back next time we need service or in state inspection.

We were traveling from out of state on June 27, 2025 when our tire went flat from picking up a screw. We stopped at a tire repair shop and were informed they could not repair the tire. We then stopped at West Service Center, and despite the fact it was nearing closing hours on a Friday, they advised they would see what they could do. The folks at West Service Center repaired the tire and got us back on the road. The tire is still functioning properly. Great service when we really needed it.

Looked up a local auto place that I could take my car for inspection that didn’t require leaving over night. I arrived first thing in the morning, day before Thanksgiving, and was done in an hour and a half or so. I was wanting to be able to just pull in, first come first served, and wait for a bit and be able to go and have my car. West Auto made that happen. Many auto places require you to drop off day before they’ll work on it. As an uber driver that is inconvenient. Due to them being able to take me in the morning and I leave shortly after, I ended up making $300 that day. Wouldn’t have happened if I had to leave it overnight. The people are great and helpful. This place also is wonderful for an honest place to tsk your car. If something is wrong with your car they’ll tell you, if it’s not, they will tell you. They aren’t like other auto places that get you to fix something so they make more money. We need to ensure we have more honest auto shops to care for our ours. West Auto is one of those. This is the place to spend your money on your car maintenance as needed only. Thank you West Auto staff. Stay awesome!

I own a Class A motorhome, and finding a state inspection facility for large vehicles that also provides excellent service can be challenging. Today I decided to try West Service Center for the first time, and I am very glad I did. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly, which immediately made for a positive experience. Mike, the Virginia State Inspector, was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. During our conversation, I took the opportunity to get his advice on a more reliable way to display the front license plate, since the RV manufacturer did not provide a good mounting solution. He also explained a few things I did not know about how the fog lights function. I will definitely be back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I would not recommend this shop. I previously paid about $150 for an alignment here, and my steering wheel was still noticeably crooked when driving straight afterward. At the time I assumed that might just be how the car was. Recently I had to replace one outer tie rod, so I took my car to a different shop for another alignment (since I also needed my tires balanced and couldn’t find any information on this shop’s website saying they offered that service). The new shop corrected the alignment and my steering wheel is now perfectly straight. The technician told me they had to make significant adjustments to get everything back into spec. That raises an obvious question: what exactly did I pay $150 for the first time? Replacing one outer tie rod should not have meant the car was that far out of alignment if the original alignment had actually been done properly. I’ve also had another bad experience here with an inspection on a Cadillac. The vehicle failed inspection, the issue was addressed, but because the reinspection window was missed it had to go through a full inspection again. The car had not been driven during that time, yet it failed again for a different issue that apparently wasn’t caught during the first inspection. That raises the question: are they actually doing thorough inspections the first time, or just stopping once they find something wrong? To make matters worse, after the first inspection was completed, no one even called to let us know the vehicle was ready or to give us the results. We had to call them ourselves just to find out the status of the car. Between the poor alignment, the questionable inspection process, and the lack of communication, I would not trust this shop with my vehicle again. There are plenty of other shops in the area that are far more thorough and professional.
