We have been fortunate to have William's Auto service our cars since 2002. At that time, he quickly identified a vacuum leak on our 1987 Prelude, which two Honda specialists could not find. Since then, he has serviced and/or repaired other vehicles or us, including Toyota, Mercedes and Ford. The diagnostic is consistently accurate and the work is A+. Thank you Bill!

I was thankfully referred here by a friend's family years ago. Bill has proven to be one of the the nicest and most forthcoming people I know who just happens to be a stellar mechanic. Their experience shows through their knowledge here and they are happily patient in answering every question with clarifying detail, and have even helped teach me to perform services myself. I would suggest calling ahead to check availability as I may have contributed to a wait list by referring my friends here as well.

I've only seen Bill once on a recommendation from a friend but he immediately earned my trust by saving me nearly two grand on my FJ Cruiser's power steering from what a Toyota dealership quoted me. Then he let me take some of his own after-market cold air intake cleaner to use over the weekend to clean my filter! This man knows how to do business the right way.

I wasn't sure where to take my 2001 volkswagen Jetta when it broke down in Kansas City (I'm from Lawrence). A friend recommended William's Automotive and I'm so glad I took my car there. Bill is personable and very experienced with Volkswagens. I explained to him that money was tight, and he helped me to determine which repairs were most important under my given budget. He was very good at explaining the problems to me so I felt like I could make an informed decision. Bill is a genuine guy and I highly recommend his services!

Last week I visited Williams Automotive after reading positive reviews on Angie’s List and Google. I want to add my positive review as well. William’s Automotive is a place that I feel I can take my car and expect excellent work, a fair price, and honest service. I am fairly new to the area and my experience at two other auto service facilities left me wondering if I would ever find an honest shop in the Lenexa area. Both of those business performed work that I did not authorize and then charged me more than the agreed upon price for other services. I took my car to William’s because my brakes were scrubbing and I suspected I needed new pads and rotors. I asked them to check all four brakes and do whatever is necessary. I received a call after about an hour with a detail list of what needed to be done and the price breakdown. The front brakes and rotors needed replacing and the back brakes still had plenty of use left in them. They had every opportunity to replace the back brakes as well but chose the honest route and only did the work that was necessary. In addition they tightened up a hose clamp that was leaking coolant and put in 2 quarts of coolant at no charge. All of my future auto service work will now go to Williams Automotive.

Simply the best mechanic and automotive repair shop that exists. My family and I have partnered with Bill to ensure the longevity of all of our Toyota vehicles. He is an absolute straight shooter, honest, and would never mislead or misdiagnose your vehicle. Simply the thought of mechanics ripping people off has become a foreign thought to me, simply because I have been dealing with Bill at William's Automotive for so long. When it comes to the health and longevity of my vehicle, I would trust it to no one other than Bill. When he retires, I do not know what the heck I am gonna do. Hopefully he will live forever just like my Camry. It has 120K on it, and thanks to Bill, it drives like it just came off of the dealership lot 10 years ago.

Bill is honest and does great work. I have a twenty year old Toyota that I want to run another twenty years. Bill completely understood my approach and has been fantastic in helping me accomplish that goal. In one example, I needed a heater hose replaced. Unfortunately you have to purchase the entire assembly to get the heater hose. Bill refused to spend the $300 for the assembly and was able to match the cracked hose at the parts store for $8. If I could give Bill six stars I would. He is the best.

I had a car towed to him for a pre purchase inspection and he didn't even charge me, because the car needed so much work and I had already footed the tow bill for a car that I hadn't bought yet. I am definitely going back! As a young woman, I become very anxious with trips to any mechanic. Just like other reviews have stated, Bill was friendly, helpful, and made me feel comfortable right away. He quickly diagnosed the issue just by driving my car around the block. He referred me to another colleague for the exhaust work my car needed (I was pleased with that business as well), but clearly and patiently explained what was going on with my car. He also checked out something else on my car at my request, but in the end he didn't accept any money from me. Here in 10,000 miles when I do need some brake work, I will be pleased to trust Bill with the job!

Bill is amazing! I’ve had to use him in two “emergencies”, the first was to establish-since I didn’t have a regular mechanic (I do now!) he got me in fast! He’s straight to the point, makes sure you understand what’s going on and why and gives you your options and as affordable as mechanics can be. The second was for a failed alternator, again- he was able to get me in (where for other people it would have been a WEEK) so I never had to deal with any issues! Very thankful! Thanks again Bill!

Mr.Bill is the best mechanic I’ve ever come across! Whether I understood everything he said or not, he took his time to explain what’s wrong with my car. He is car genius but most importantly he’s an honest man! I am so glad and feel blessed that I found him! I’ll never go anywhere else as long as I’m living in the area. He fixed my AC and my horn on my old car and so many little things that was wrong with my car!
