I had the terrible luck to break down in Charleston but I was lucky to break down across from Woodie's. One of their mechanics came over, looked at the car, and even helped me push it across the road to avoid a tow bill. The service was friendly and several weeks later I haven't had any problems with the repairs.

I am writing this review to desperately urge anybody reading this to never take your car here under any circumstances. I brought my car to woodies on April 25th for replacement of a broken strut, a simple easy job that should take about a week max, I am just now receiving my car from them on June 17th. Every day I would call them and they would give the same excuse that they were still working with the warranty company and the claim got denied and so on. So I called up my warranty and it turns out the claim was never denied. It was approved on May 15th 2025 and I was shown documentation of that as well as call logs showing that woodies basically ghosted the warranty company despite still telling me 2 weeks after the claim was approved that it was still denied. After all that I had to go there in person to get them to actually start the process of working on my car you would think they would try to expedite the process after that big of a mistake right? Wrong. They didn’t even order the part for another 3 days and provided no express shipping and the part took 8 business days to come in. Then finally I get a call from them today telling me I can come and pick my car up, I’m so excited finally after 2 months it’s ready, and as I’m driving there they call me back and say “actually the warranty hasn’t authorized payment yet from the email we sent them” so I have to call the warranty again and turns out woodies never even sent them the invoice and when they finally did, they sent it via the wrong email. So basically, I did all of the work for them besides the actual simple installation of the strut and then had to turn around and pay them $600, no discount, no apology, no sorry for the inconvenience. Not to mention a bunch of smart remarks on the phone from them to me as well as my wife. This place clearly has no idea what they are doing about anything and no sense of urgency or care whatsoever. Stay away from this business at all costs.

Worst place location especially! Eric or Clark helped with enrolling my car as well as Brandon. Desmond helped me at the end . They had me drop my car off knowing imma girl in her 20s in medical clinicals. I have to call them 30 mins before close 6:30pm to figure out the diagnostic issue with my car that I was getting charged $120 for. I told them I needed my car for school so they could have at least been transparent letting me they were going to keep my car overnight. No communication whatsoever. F smond was kind enough to let me know her check into and get it handled first thing in the morning . I also told them I needed an oil changed so my AC diagnostic went from a $120 to total and final price with the oil change being $213.41. I was charged $93.41 for a simple oil changed. I wanted to leave a review on yelp to where they can’t delete but to no surprise they do not have one. Do not go to this location. I’ve never paid more than $60 at Midas. On top of that they added extra add on fees that were unneeded a called for. Between their communication and unnecessary add on I do not recommend this location, woodies on Savannah highway to anyone! Beware !!

Woody’s quite literally saved my life. Visiting Charleston for a wedding from Florida car wouldn’t start at the hotel they came. They picked me up. They treated me beyond wonderfully so courteous so kind. Got my car running in no time at all with an excellent value I can’t say enough nice things about them if you are in anyway, needing their assistance Make sure you call them before anyone else highly recommend. Just moved here from out of state. And after a couple unfortunate experiences with a few shops in town I just happened to come across woody’s on trolley rd in Summerville and I can’t even explain how great these guys are. From day one with my wife’s car and next to my mother in laws car. To my son’s vehicle which needed major repairs. To last and not least to my truck… these people were very professional and there rates were very reasonable for all that we had done to all 4 vehicles.. the Morris family would like to thank the guys at that location.. and as long as we’re in South Carolina. That will be our go to for any vehicle repair.. so once again thank all the people at woody’s automotive on trolley rd I recommend anyone looking for an honest and very thorough shop. Go see the guys there on trolley rd in Summerville.

I needed to get a tire balanced after getting the tire patched on a trip. Woodie's got the work done quickly and efficiently. They checked the car over and let me know it had a no problems but did need some maintenance when I was ready. I was very impressed with the customer service and how clean the store and restroom was. I will be going back to Woodie's when my cars need maintenance.

I have a 2016 Mini. I usually take it to the dealership when anything needs to be fixed. I got a towel stuck in my door latch of the trunk and couldn’t get it opened. I scheduled an appointment with the dealership but decided to google nearby shops to see if I could get it done sooner. Happened upon Woodies and brought it by and they solved my issue in literally 10 minutes and were so gracious to not charge me! So now, I will be bringing my car here for any future work I need! 10 out of 10, highly recommended !!

Super nice folks who welcomed me in to help with a tire install issue from another shop. They helped me understand the problem with a tire on my truck that won't balance and didn't insist I needed tires that day. They did the best they could to get it as close to balanced, which was an improvement, and I had to convince them that I should pay for the service. They seem knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly which is hard to find these days. I wish them well and will likely use them in the future.

Mike the manager is ETHICAL. His team also has great customer service skills. The technicians are superb as well! I would recommend this shop to anyone especially women who are skeptical about mechanics! They will be honest and upfront when it comes to diagnosing your car. Woodie's had been recommended to me by a number of Charleston locals so when my Fiat 500 Abarth needed some chassis / suspension work I dropped in for assessment and estimate. Within 90 minutes they had found the problems and had a detailed and understandable description of the problems and a cost estimate. The next morning before 10 am they called to tell me the work was complete and car ready to be picked up. There were no surprises or extra charges, everything was fixed and the price for the work was very reasonable. I will definitely be back to Woodie's.
