I dealt with Elliot and Paul at A & M. My experience was very good. I had drive train issues on my jeep wrangler that I tow behind my motor home. My wife and I are retired and traveling. We were about 2,800 miles from home in south texas. A & M diagnosed and repaired my jeep in a timely manner and kept me up to date as work progressed. I would highly recommend A & M auto.

I just had a wonderful experience at A&M and would recommend them wholeheartedly. My Toyota Prius was making weird sounds so I took it in and they fixed everything so perfectly. They found a couple other things that needed to be done, but there was no pressure and they were honest that I could choose to wait for those repairs if I wanted to. Elliot handled everything and was so easy to work with. I have had my car for almost seven years and never needed to repair anything, so I really didn’t know where to go for a trustworthy shop, but I’m so glad I chose A&M. It’s been a couple weeks and my car is running perfectly. Hopefully I don’t need anymore work for a long time, but it’s nice to know I now have “my” repair shop and even my guy, Elliot! I really can’t say enough good things about my experience, they are amazing!

I reached out about a question I had regarding getting my vehicle looked at and heard back the next morning both via email and on the phone. I believe it was Paul I spoke to. He was so thorough and reassuring. He presented me with options of things I could try prior to bringing my vehicle in and spending a bunch of money. He essentially helped me create a game plan and if all those changes didn’t work, he would be happy to take care of me. Never once felt pressured to bring it in for a service nor that I was being taken advantage of money wise. He basically saved me a fat chunk of money and was kind enough to give me tips and tricks while educating me. Don’t have to bring my vehicle in yet but if I do it will absolutely be here. 11/10 customer service and I feel that’s a rarity nowadays

I was reassured I would be taken care of but after increasingly exorbitant quotes for simple diagnostics left hundreds poorer and without my issue fixed. I would explore other avenues for EV repair.

I would never return to A&M auto again. I was charged $700 for a new battery as a "first step" and when it did not work was asked for $600 more to continue the diagnosis. Instead I paid to tow it to another shop. A quick google search showed the code meant it needed a new fuel pump. The other shop did this and it worked. In addition, my own quick review showed a wire had been cut. Not sure if they did this or it was already damaged by rodents, but either way it was clear that needed to be fixed. In other words there were several steps that could have been taken before jumping to the battery, which was not even the code spit out.

I have been using A&M auto repair for more than 20 years. Always trust Jason and Elliott implicitly. Recently I had a catastrophic failure with my car. They were able to find me a rebuilt engine and got me back on the road in a timely manner. No one likes car problems....keeping all 4 of our cars running is a real pain in the butt...we keep coming back. They try hard to provide a loaner car which is HUGE for our busy family of 4. 5 stars. Thanks guys!

These guys did a pre-purchase inspection of a secondhand car, which identified a possible issue. I was able to use this to negotiate the price down, so the inspection paid for itself really! I found them very helpful and good at explaining what the issue was. Many thanks!

I had an amazing experience with A&M. They were honest and even gave me hints on how to maximize my EV. Their pricing was reasonable and much better than the dealer. Best quote after calling a few shops. I will be returning in the future for any auto needs.

I take all of our vehicles to A&M Auto. As once you find a shop that is honest, trustworthy, professional and friendly you stop searching. They have done brakes, HVAC, engine replacement, engine restoration, safety inspections, pre-purchase inspections, etc. Paul, Jason & Elliott are super cool knowledgeable guys. Very patient with all of our crazy auto issues. The work is always completed on time as promised and if they find something outside of the scope of work they always discuss and provide recommendations. If your still looking for a mechanic I highly recommend A&M as you will look no further.

A&M feels like a family owned business, unlike some of the larger car dealers service companies. I have been going to A&M for years, and I appreciate the great service that do & give when I bring my car in.

Be careful of this repair shop. Warranty terms are confusing. They did poor quality work on clock spring replacement (not programming and initial roadside set up). Allowed customer to leave with EPC and Steering wheel light on dash board illuminated. FOLLOW UP: DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! Talked to Jason 12/18/25 and explained to him that I recently purchased a VW Tiguan that they had replaced the clock spring in 300 miles prior. EPC, Steering and Check Eng light on. I told him that I understand that mistakes happen and that initial programming (road side or coding) had not been done. He said to bring car in anytime and they would correct it. Spoke with him again mid January and he recalled conversation but warranty is not extended to me. Short end is I purchased programming software and had all 14 codes cleared in under 5 min. the clock spring wasn't even initialized! A and M did not complete the job! FYI- VW would have replaced this clock spring for free- they should have known

Had a great experience with A&M! They were able to take my car same day, coordinated a free Lyft for me to/from the shop, communicated well and car is working great! Hope not to need them again too soon, but if I do, I’ll be back!

Timely, efficient, knowledgable, easy to work with and they were able to work into my schedule for some general maintenance but more importantly, I needed repair work on the transmission in my 2015 Sprinter Van. They were able to complete these multitasks despite my short timeline.

I have used A&M over the past 10 years on at least five or six occasions. I drive older used cars. They've always treated me very fairly. On the most recent repair, my van was not starting. This happened only intermittently. A&M generously provided a car to borrow, as the problem I was having was difficult to reproduce and might take some extra time. I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for this kind gesture. It made my trip to Mount Rainier possible. Upon returning the problem was resolved and my van starts up easily every time. Elliot and Jason true professionals in every sense of the word. It's priceless having a mechanic that you trust and can rely up on. 5 star service.

I remember growing up my dad only trusted the local Cheveron shop up on 15th Ave E on Capitol Hill to take care of his car. He said you become a return customer when they treat you like they appreciate your business. I drive a 2018 Honda CRV and this was the year things needed to be replaced. I called A&M and spoke to Elliott to make my appointment. From the get go I knew I chose the right place to have the work done. Having worked in the customer service arena for over 20 years I can spot great customer service a mile away! A&M not only provided me with a free Lyft ride to my office showing me they were taking care of me as a customer but Jason made me feel at ease that they would take just as good care of my vehicle. I had an oil change, engine air filter replacement, cabin air filter replacement as well as needing a new valve cover (it was warped) with gasket and tube seals. As if that weren't enough the spark plugs needed replacing. I felt confident they would take care of all the work and that I wouldn't be over charged. This proved to be true. A&M treated me like they appreciated me and my business so I will be a return customer and I will recommend them to my friends and family.

I am sharing my experience to caution others about this auto shop. I brought my 2008 Hyundai Sonata to the shop to have the brakes inspected because the dashboard warning lights were intermittently turning on and off. I agreed to pay a $248 diagnostic fee and left the vehicle with them. The following morning, I was informed that multiple components—including hoses, brake lines, rotors, and other parts—were allegedly in poor condition. I was told the repairs would take approximately three weeks and would cost around $4,800. I was also told the vehicle was not drivable. During this conversation, the individual (I believe his name is Elliot) strongly urged me to authorize the repairs. The discussion felt highly pressured, and I believe scare tactics were used to push me toward approving the work. I was repeatedly told how unsafe the vehicle was and was encouraged to use financing options to proceed with repairs at their shop. Given that the repair estimate exceeded the approximate value of my car, I declined the recommended services and informed them that I would pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, the individual I had previously spoken with ( Elliot) was not present. Another employee collected the $248 diagnostic fee and handed me my keys. When I asked about the vehicle’s condition, he stated that he had no idea about it. When I started the car to leave, the brake pedal went completely to the floor and the brakes were not functioning. I then had to wait for Elliot to return so I could ask where the brake fluid leak had come from. He told me that a brake line was broken and leaking brake fluid, and stated that “it could happen anywhere.” I want to be clear that prior to bringing my vehicle to this shop, I had not experienced any brake failure whatsoever. The brakes were functioning, and I did not have a brake pedal going to the floor. I also observed large towels placed underneath the car with visible brake fluid on them when I picked it up. Because the vehicle was no longer safely drivable, I was forced to have it towed at an additional cost of $200, incurring further unexpected expense. Based on the timing and circumstances, I have serious concerns about what may have occurred while my vehicle was in their possession. I cannot prove intent; however, it is difficult to ignore the fact that the brakes became completely inoperable only after I declined a $4,800 repair estimate. This has led me to question whether the brake line leak may have been intentionally caused after I refused the repairs. The overall experience was distressing, costly, and has raised significant ethical concerns for me. I encourage others to exercise caution, seek second opinions, and carefully evaluate their options before authorizing repairs at this shop.

I don’t dread taking my car to be fixed anymore because of Elliot and Jason. They are kind, patient, and helpful; they always explain their pricing and obtain permission before every repair. They can fit me in quickly when it’s urgent and they never take too long to fix my car and get it back to me. The pricing is fair and transparent. I’ve never appreciated an auto shop more. Thanks A&M!
