I had to call A-1 because I had gotten my car stuck off of an embankment in someone’s driveway. I got so lucky to deal with a fantastic gentleman, who was friendly, efficient & respectful. A1 is the BEST!! We got confused on the company who towed us from my son’s apartment guest lot at The Standard apartment complex. Walked 15 min to A1 lot only to find it but it was closed. I didn’t see my car and no one was on site! I called the A1 number and the nicest gentleman answered and told me he doesn’t tow from parking lots. He then pulls up in the lot, he just happened to be around the corner!! What luck! This nice owner helped us figure out where my car was by making one phone call and then drove us 15 min away (complete opposite direction) to ACE’S towing. He says people get them confused all the time and subsequently leave bad reviews on his site because of the horrible experiences people have with ACE’S. It was so stressful the whole ordeal and this man helped relieve this awful situation. There are great people out there and we are so thankful for his help and kindness!!!

I have used multiple other towing companies before, normally they are very rude and condescending. One company located in waynesborrow even lost my car for over 24 hours!!! I decided to find a different company for towing and picked A1. As someone who works in the trades it’s always nice to see people give blue Collar workers a good name. I have used this company 3 times, got a different person each time, and was treated with respect each time. Their drivers would make jokes with me, offer to explain things to me, and even cut me deals due to other towing companies letting me down (on one occasion). Very friendly, good communication, and helpful as can be. (From my experiences) 10/10.

If I could give more than a 5 star review to A1 Towing, I would. Sunday, Nov. 23 we had just about finished shopping in Charlottesville and were on our way to Wegman's. We were coming down 9th Street and hit some darned concrete dividers when making a left turn onto 9th after leaving a gas station. My friend did not see the divider and she hit the darned thing. We blew not one but 2 tires and had to ride a short distance to find parking. Ended up being the maintenance parking lot for the Charlottesville Housing Authority. We tried calling a tow driver we knew, but he was sick. Leigh Anne saw where A1 had 200 reviews and we called them. The dispatch said the tow driver would call us shortly. He got there 10 minutes after we talked to him on the phone. That is when we met Jamal. I can't say enough about how nice he was and considerate. He loaded the car and then he helped us get in the truck and he said he was taking us home. We were 31 miles from home. He was so personable and we all talked on the ride home so it seemed like only minutes had passed from when we left until we arrived at my friends house. Jamal had the car unloaded and shook our hands before he left. I never met a driver like him before when I had to call for a tow. He is not only professional, personable and funny, too. His truck was so clean as was the cab we rode in after he picked us up. From now on if I need a tow, I will definitely call, A1 and ask for Jamal. I highly recommend this company. I was so happy with the service and Jamal, I gave him a tip on top of the towing fee. Thank you, Jamal!!
