As a person who has both owned and worked in a service business, you can tell a quality operation in about a minute. Look around a shop and you see the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and employee's ability to understand your issue. I was very impressed with the staff at Alford's ability to resolve the problem by researching multiple resources, and presenting clear and understandable solutions. I highly recommend this business as an extremely satisfied Jaguar customer.

I love this shop! They are honest, communicate very well, and do great work! I have an older Jaguar, and a couple of Land Rovers. Both of those are known for being a pain to care for and work on... These guys (and ladies) make it easy. They really seem to enjoy doing the hard jobs. Unlike many shops that whine about how hard some jobs are Alford simply quotes the time and parts and bring the car back smiling.

March 15, 2022. Single female rippped off! Do not use this company. Dave the owner lies about the hours it takes to complete a job. For a 2010 Cadiallaic CTS he wanted $4350.00 making up a price for a timing chain gear kit and instal, water pump and instal with an oil change. Tom Kelly Cadiallaic was between $2,200 to $2,900 for exact same work. I asked for an itemized receipt because my children who work for dealerships said that’s too much money and they wanted to understand why. Dave lies on the labor and charges people 20% over what he pays for parts. Unethical not fair trade. I will never return and paid this company to get my car. In tears…. I trusted Dave who promised he his price would be lower than the Cadiallaic dealership and he was higher!!! He didn’t care. Making $10-$15 an hour myself being ripped off not per fair trade agreement is unethical. No contract signed quoted to do the work and an email told the price was $4350. Not at all reflective of work or time to do the job on a car engine that only the side panel needed taken off. I am hurt and people should report Alford Automotive to the better business bureau for cheating women. Fraud.

Very happy with service on my Saab 9-5, Dave and Rodney are always able to work with me and my work schedule. They have up to date software on their scan tools and shop around for the best prices on OEM. They have provided me future estimates so I am NOT surprised when I come back in for an oil change. Explain what was done and what needs to be done.

I've been impressed with their experience and fairly competitive pricing for my Mini Cooper Countryman. I've always preferred auto shops where I can walk in and 1) they recognize a repeat customer, 2) they're straightforward in their shop talk, and 3) they know my car and take extra steps to ensure her quality.

After the dealership quoted me over $6000 to repair the damaged rear axle on our Jeep Wrangler, Alford Automotive was recommended by a well trusted body shop we use. They are nothing short of amazing at Alford. They not only did the work for thousands of dollars less than the dealership, they even did a lot of extra work. They essentially rebuilt the entire rear end, from the axle to the brakes and shocks. It has never driven better. Unbelievably friendly, they kept me up on everything that was going on. They treated me as if I was a lifelong customer, which I now am.

I talked to Alford after another repair shop had my vehicle for a week trying to fix an ABS issue. They went and picked my vehicle up later that day and within 48 hours I had my truck back and saved me over 2k. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that Dave was a very polite person to speak with about my vehicle and he and his staff are probably knowledgeable in mechanical repair for automotive. But what I experienced was that the repairs needed to my vehicle should have never been done at Alford’s. They where used as a outsource from Gerber Collision and glass to repair rodent damage to the heater and A/C blower assembly which involved completely removing the dash and several other interior panels. After receiving the vehicle back from Gerber I began going over everything and found that the traction control system was not operational. Along with several other issues with the re assembly several panel clips had been broken and never replaced with new ones they just placed the panels back on as best as they could and called it good. When I began driving the vehicle I experienced several vibration sounds from the dash and interior. It has taken me several months now to carefully disassemble and find all the mistakes that occurred and replacing broken panel clips and retainers to stop all the vibration sounds. The traction control issues had to be resolved by a dealership since after returning the vehicle to Gerber’s I was told that I should check with the manufacturer about defects or recalls. They basically did not believe me in what I was telling them and some how the problem could not have happened during the repair. Alford’s did tell me to call with any concerns and bring it back but after seeing the quality of work that was performed I was not placing the vehicle back in their hands or Gerber’s for that manner. Maybe they should have taken more pride and paid more attention to details but most of all made sure the job was completed properly before releasing the vehicle back to the customer.

Tried to help my mom make dreams come true after her purchase of an '85 jaguar that needed some work done. The lady that helped us was so nice. Got an appointment set up. Then the car hit another issue and we wanted to bring it up early and let it sit. David told her that the cars are nightmares and couldn't work on it for a month which is not what we were told. I don't care how nightmare a car is. If you specialize in foreign cars and put your reputation behind it i expect better customer service. Apparently he was so rude because he was late to lunch. What a joke. I made him call and apologize but we will not be bringing the Jag here. We found a wonderful place in Warsaw that was more than happy to take the car.

Highly recommend! They worked fast and hard on my 2013 VW Tiguan. Very transparent and like that they email the quote so you can look it over before giving the ‘ok’ to work on it. Would use them again and plan to in the future.

Have always been treated fairly at Alford's. They only do what is necessary to keep your vehicle safe and on the road. They never perform additional work without contacting you and explain why it needs to be done. Their parking lot is always full for a reason. They are ethical and earn your trust.

I couldn't express how frustrated and upset I am. As a single, one income home woman, I have never felt taken advantage as I have with this company. I took my car in for a battery check. I explained that I was having issues and my battery wasn't working or keeping a charge. I was getting a warning stating " battery discharged". I asked if it could also be the alternator, they stated they would check. I left spending about 600 dollars for a new battery, programing and an oil change all to have my car COMPLETELY DEAD a week later. They had no issues on quoting me on struts, tires, brakes and routers but no fix to the actual problem. The solution was to get my car towed, at my expense, so they can look at it AGAIN. Why wasn't the question of " why is the battery not keeping a charge" the beginning of the process? Why wasn't my alternator and starter looked at? Sent me home with the same issue and took 600 dollars away but expect me to keep spending money on issues that don't resolve the actual problem. If i was an expert on cars I wouldn't need a shop to fix it. I trusted them and now they put me in a worse situation. More money out the door, days missed from work, and no car that is drivable.

These are outstanding mechanics who I trust explicitly. I have never had a bad experience working with these fine gentlemen, even when it was a troublesome to track down issue. They also have, on more than once occasion, used a phrase it's rare to hear from mechanics : "You don't really need to fix this right now, but let's keep an eye on it." Yes, these guys care enough about your future business that they don't push a bunch of maybe fixes nor pump up your bill with shady "needs". I would recommend them without reservation to anyone who is within a reasonable driving range to use this fine auto shop. It's been over a decade with them now, and my opinion hasn't changed. They. Are. Amazing.

I had a major oil leak after having an oil change somewhere else… needless to say they found I had a bad oil cooler, they had it order, changed, and running GREAT in an efficient time and communicated with me on the problem and process. Definitely recommend and I will personally be back for my service and repairs!
