I had my car towed to these guys a couple days ago after it broke down on the side of the road due to faulty electrical in my car. Bobby promptly called me the next day and assured that he would get to the bottom of my car's debilitating ailment. Bobby called me a few hours later and told me he identified the root of my troubles and told me he had already fixed it along with another problem that he saw while poking around. On top of the quick and competent work, the total was much lower than what I had expected. When I picked up my car and drove away, I noticed that it was running better than it had in quite some time. I recommend Carmech to everyone in need of car work. They are both professional and honest. This is not a fake post.

These guys are totally honest and hard working. I can not recommend this place enough. I've actually never left an online review before, but I just had such a refreshing experience with these guys I'm leaving one. I feel like I owe them, they didn't even charge me! I've had a problem with my car making a noise while backing out of a space and turning the wheel. I've asked a couple other places to look at it and they just said "uhhh, it's probably a problem with your power steering pump". It definitly wasnt the power steering pump. These guys knew the problem right away and made it seem obvious. They just tightened a belt, problem solved. In addition to being honest and knowledgeable, they weren't grumpy like most mechanics I've spoke with recently, just really nice guys. Can't recommend this place enough.

I went to this place because the staff and quality were highly recommended by several friends. I needed front brakes on my car, and when they started squealing a month after car mech had installed, I called to discuss options. They had not kept service records and I was told that without a receipt they wouldn't back the work. So I tracked down the receipt and called back for an appointment. Long story short, they didn't do anything to the squealing brakes after I'd dropped the car off, blaming the issue on the after market parts that they had recommended and previously installed. When I asked continued to ask questions about resolving the issue, the mechanics were so rude to me over the phone that I wasn't comfortable going back there, so I sent my husband to pick up the car (which they had done nothing to fix). I still have a car with squealing brakes, and am going to have to pay $200+ to another mechanic to fix the mess these folks made. Very disappointed.

It's really hard to find good mechanics you can trust with your vehicle, especially when you're a female. I've had people screw me over in the past but not this place. Logan and Bobby are amazing guys and will always try to get you the best possible prices for parts and labor. I had been to several mechanics before finding this place a couple years ago, and these are the best mechanics in Asheville and the most trustworthy dudes I've had the pleasure of knowing. I previously posted about damage done to my vehicle while at CarMech. In addition to the rear hatch, the catalytic converter has been removed and parts removed from underneath the hood for the diagnosis were just left in the car. Bolts were left in the driver side floor . At this point, with the hatch damage, catalytic converter removed and engine left in a partially dismantled state - only thing I can do is sell the car for parts or junk the car. Logan can be so friendly when he thinks you are getting repairs there, if you elect not to get the repairs made after the diagnostic or in my case buy a 20+ year old multi-colored subaru from him - he can be very intimidating and unprofessional.
