I use Chris exclusively. He is very fair and goes the extra mile. He is not one of these shop owners that charges you like a doctor or dentist. He will work with you and not suggest unnecessary work just to pad his pocket. The people that work for him are reall good folks also.

Great locally owned repair shop with VERY REASONABLE PRICES and an honest owner! My honey and I have been taking both of our vehicles to Chris for nearly 3 yrs. now. Everything from brakes, to oil changes and tune-ups. He kept my 'ole GMC Envoy running long enough for me to get a newer one! Gets my vote for best auto repair shop in Bremerton, and I love the fact that it is a small business, locally owned and operated!

It's nice when you can find a mechanic who is a straight shooter and this place is a mom-and-pop shop that does good by you and your car. As long as you don't mind the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby, you're okay.

My 92 honda civic waterpump was busted and I had all the parts, Chris and his team were able to get it installed, and made sure everything else under the hood was alright. He kept me aware of everything going on AND I got it back the SAME DAY and at a FANTASTIC PRICE I'm so THANKFUL For Chris and his Team. I'd definitely recommend him he's about buisness and making sure rates are reasonable.

I have been a service advisor for 10 years. I have extensive mechanical knowledge, but I am not a mechanic. I brought my camper van in to Chris a couple of months ago, because it had a check engine light, a power steering noise, a bad fuel pump, had a rough idle/vibration, leaky diff, and trans issues. I asked him to replace the intake temp sensor that I provided. I had to stay with a friend in Tacoma as my van was being worked on, and I didn't hear from the shop about what was wrong with my van until I called them a week later. I was told that I needed a trans mount, fuel pump, power steering pump, a MAF sensor connector and a tune up, to which I agreed at the price of just over $2900. A week later, I never heard from the shop on the status of my van (it does not take a week to get all of that work done, but as a service advisor myself, I know things can get busy and I didn't want to be "that customer" that nags the shop about my car). I called Chris, and was told that they were almost done with it, and I picked it up late on a Friday. As I was checking out, Chris listed off everything they did to my van, including work I never approved or even spoke to him about, including a full brake job in the front (including calipers) and the power steering drive belt! I just let it go, because $2900 for the amount of work they did was cheap. He also said he resealed my rear diff for free. As soon as I left, the check engine light came on, the van started running and vibrating worse than before, and there was a loud whooshing noise coming into the cabin of my van from the engine. There was a loud thumping noise coming from the undercarriage. I called Chris, and he agreed to meet me at the shop the next morning. I do appreciate his willingness to come in on the weekend to look at it, and would never expect anyone to do that. On Saturday morning, Chris fixed the whooshing noise that the technician caused, but kept avoiding the question when I asked what happened. He told me that the check engine light was on because of an evap leak, which he wouldn't be able to smoke test because it was a weekend. But since they had just worked on my fuel system, I was frustrated that there was an issue with that. In regards to the running rough/vibration problem that was still happening, Chris informed me that it was due to the distributor being worn out. I was confused as to why that wasn't caught during the diagnostic; he told me that the tune up would fix the issue. Chris told me it wouldn't leave me stranded and that I could bring it back another day. He agreed to charge me the price of the distributor and that he would take care of the labor. He told me that the tech forgot to do my rear brake adjustment. He also said he could not duplicated the thumping noise. Side note: the thumping noise persisted as soon as I drove off the lot, and I ended up figuring out that they had forgotten to attach my fender liner and it was hitting my tire as I was driving, so I ended up removing it myself. The next week, I was in Astoria, and the CEL started flashing, throwing a misfire code, and my van wouldn't accelerate, and it was vibrating so hard my teeth were rattling, so I had it towed back to Cars. Chris told me after a week that the dist. didn't fix the issue and that they were still digging into it. I called ANOTHER week later and he said the timing needed to be adjusted, but I know that the timing adjustment is done at the SAME TIME as the distributor. When I picked it up, the CEL was gone, but it was still running rough/vibrating. I took it to firestone, and they diagnosed and replaced an engine mount that finally fixed it. I also found out they never replaced the intake temp sensor I asked them to replace, and when I picked it up the last time, the inside of my van was COMPLETELY trashed. I know they had to move some stuff from the front to the back, but things in the back of the camper that were NOT in the way had been rifled through and thrown around.

Reliable high-quality service - fairest pricing in the area - thorough, courteous customer service treatment. When my car recently developed an issue that required immediate attention, I researched several East Bremerton auto repair shops online. CARS Automotive was one of the best bets based off of the reviews available online - but it was the *only* auto repair shop I contacted that: 1) offered a 10% discount off any competitor's written estimate, 2) did not charge any diagnosis fees, and 3) offered the most honest, thorough answers to my questions over the phone when I first called them. The repair work done was excellent. Chris, the owner, was able to coordinate getting me my car back on the road while keeping in mind I had a very limited budget to work with. I'll definitely be using them for my car's future repairs/maintenance.

I called to get a general idea of the diagnostic cost knowing something was wrong with me AC in my New (Used) Honda. Chris quoted me an amount and I got the impression it included the fix ( Freon needed replacing). When I got there the quote went down $50! And the price was for everything! He is super honest and trustworthy! Glad I did not go elsewhere!

Chris and his crew are the most sweetest, hardest working, and most honest mechanics in town. My car broke down literally right in front of their shop and they worked with me to figure out what went wrong and how they could fix it. They got it up and running over night and though they could have charged me an arm and a leg, they charged me a really low price! CARS will be the only shop I go to in the future and the only one I'll recommend. Keep doing a fantastic job, guys!

Chris was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He worked with me through two transmission replacements on a 1966 Chevrolet Impala and made sure that everything was perfect. I cant stress enough how good the workmanship and quality is, and on top of that good prices! Honesty and integrity are number 1 at this business. Would bring any car here, any time, for anything. Chris and his team will get it done right.

Called to get an estimate for replacing my master slave cylinder in my mazda. I asked him how much it would be with just labor and he laughed saying he doesn't use parts if they're not from him. I asked about oreillys or any reputable retailer and he laughed again and said no. Could have done without the laughter, I'm just broke and trying to get my car safe to drive again. Didn't need the petty laughter just because I won't buy your overpriced parts..

Brought my truck into Cars Auto and Chris was able to determine the underlying issue. Because the truck was so new it had to be brought to a different shop but I wasn't charged for anything, they got my truck set up to go and even made calls to get me into another shop. Great shop would recommend to family and friends. I will definitely be back.

Thank you Chris. i do appreciate it. reasonable prices, upon replacing the engine the tech dropped and broke my battery. replaced the battery no questions asked. had a couple other issues come up after. My ride was squared away both times with a quickness. besides my personal mechanic in portland, chris and his employees are my new bremerton mechanics and will always be my go to while i live here. Chris was recommended by 2 different people and one of those people is my best friend and i trust their judgement. Once again Chris thank you. i would recommend Cars Auto Repair. Just make sure you get your car in their first thing in the morning if you can
