I like and trust the people at Firestone at 4101 Plainfield NE Grand Rapids. 4 out of 5 stars just because they don't offer coffee while waiting. Hope they reconsider.

I needed a tire alignment, so I called Firestone in Grand Rapids and set up an appointment for 1p on Sunday 6/15. I received an email confirming the appointment. I arrived around 12:45p for the appointment and was informed that the customer service department scheduling does not sync with the on-site scheduling, so the appointment had already been moved to Tuesday. There was no communication about the appointment being moved to Tuesday until we arrived. I'm not sure the point of setting up appointments by phone if customer service does not communicate with the stores. I also question why the appointment would be moved without communicating with the customer whatsoever. I would recommend using a business that is more organized and customer focused than this Firestone.

Had an appointment to get winter tires put on at 3…car wasn’t taken into the stall until almost 4:30. Didn’t end up leaving until almost 6pm…they were friendly but I couldn’t believe how long it took.

made appointment online but it over booked for the amount of techs..then you have to wait 4 hrs to get 4 tires mouted and get over charged for wheel sensors 80 dollars each and wasn't told price before I could have gotten 4 sensor for 40 dollars what a ripp off all dun never again..took my own tires in should have gotten my own sensor also..had trouble with other services there before last time will not be back

No wonder why this store out performs the Beltline location. I came in and was greeted by Cristina. What a difference in first impressions. She was eager to help and greeted me in a professional manner. Cristina set realistic expectations. Told me the price and respected my time. Highly recommend this location and their services. I would recommend keeping her around and putting her in an MIT program or send to the other stores in the area to help other teams know what good looks like.

I did a great job on my alignment. They did a great job getting me in a second time due to me missing my first one. They fixed my steering. Excellent customer service on the phone, explaining the two plans for alignment. Both salesmen did great. I got my vehicle back fast

Beware. My elderly mother-in-law brought her car in for an oil change here, and they talked her into having thousands of dollars worth of work done. She indicated that she could not afford to pay for the work out-of-pocket, so they convinced her to apply for the credit card. Now the cost of the work done is exponentially higher due to the interest on the balance. If you have a vulnerable loved one, please don't allow them to go here to be taken advantage of, like my mother-in-law was.

On the first day of travel of our family vacation, our car broke down and we took it to the Firestone complete auto care on Plainfield Avenue in Grand Rapids. What could’ve been a Significant amount of work plus car rental plus enormous bill, was minimized due to the persistence and dedication of the technicians. Christina and Erik went above and beyond To diagnose and repair the car and minimal amount of time. We were so grateful for their professionalism and sincerity. We were able to reach our destination by sunset and spend time with our kids.

My 2005 Chrysler 300 would start everytime and had never not started. After starting one day the transmission would not engage. Paid to have towed to Firestone for diagnosis. When I went to retrieve my vehicle post-diagnosis it would no longer start. Feel like I wasted money on a tow and diagnostic fee to end up getting my vehicle back in a worse state then when I dropped it off. It gets worse, their tech said he could not manually engage the transmission into gear with a pry-bar and that it needed a $5,000 transmission repair. So I ended up selling the car for $4000 less than it's value just to watch the new buyer crawl underneath, put the vehicle in gear, and drive off. Their misdiagnosis basically cost me $4,000.

Wouldn't trust the people here. Wifes car was brought here for an insurance claim to replace both rims/tires front/back on passenger side though Gerber Collison. A few days after car was given back wife got a flat tire, she aired it up. Next morning tire was still flat so I swapped it with donut. Upon closer look I noticed rim did not appear to look new from the back/ front both sides had scratches/dents. Inspected the tire for nails did not find any visible damage. Took the tire to discount tire and they confirmed no damage to actual tire, air leaking due to damage around rim causing air to leak out. Gerber Collison can't do nothing due to invoice they received from Firestone stating both rims and tires were replaced. That is clearly a lie because one of the rims was not replaced at all.

I was very happy with the service I received. They were super friendly and the manager took the time to explain the different tire types to me. On the drive home I realized I forgot to mention I had specialty tire valve caps on my tire that I wanted to keep. But they saw it and put it on my new tire for me! Most places wouldn’t have even noticed that.
