I found a coupon on Groupon for a full synthetic oil change at the Franconia Service Center at Liberty. I made an appointment for 10 am. Got there 5 minutes before ten. I was told it would take about an hour… the oil change was completed in under an hour. There were some other issues with my car that was pointed out to me - no pressure to have the items completed… a great experience and I definitely have already recommended the Franconia Service Center at Liberty to my friends and family! Customer Service was excellent from the time I opened the door to the time I left. The service person at the desk on 7/16/22 was so pleasant and professional. The mechanic was very pleasant and polite. He was very knowledgeable. On Wednesday, August 31, 2023 I had my Virginia state inspection performed at liberty. I’ve been there several times before to have my car serviced. And as always, they were professional, courteous, and timely. Prices were very reasonable. I plan to continue to use them in the future!

Once again I took my classic 40yrs old Jeep to Liberty to have the rear brakes done on it. I am handicapped and can not do the work myself. Huge shutout and THANK YOU to Liberty service stations Jeff and Frank for taking my Jeep in, working on it and loving it more than I do they take care of my cars as if they owned them. My Jeep is running perfectly now. I'd give 10 Stars if I could. Went to Liberty this morning for emissions and safety inspections. safety passed just fine and the emissions test was incomplete. after talking to everyone in the shop I learned my front brakes were low they reccomended I get new front brakes amd rotors. at an Acura dealership that would have cost me easily $2,000. Liberty did my brakes amd got it done in one day!! amazingly fast turn arpund my brakes feel great now. I recieved the bill, and I was shocked that the price was far less than any Acura "stealership" in this country. Hats off to mechanic Donald who took such great care of my car. I will use Liberty for all of my automotive mechanical needs again and again. thank you Liberty for helping me out with my car today!!.

Not an honest mechanic when it comes to the price of parts. I took my SUV there for a major repair diagnostic. I determined after thorough research the price of the part offered was excessively padded. When I offered to supply my own part which came with warranty I was told that’s not allowed. The Franconia Service Center required a new diagnostic told me NOTHING different than the diagnostic report provided by my dealership. I paid over $250 for a useless redundant diagnostic. Not trustworthy for major repairs.

I've given this shop the last chance I can. I've been coming here for oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, diagnostics, etc for 4-5 years now and they can't seem to decide whether the want to play by the book or not. Paid for a "premium" oil change - to include tire rotations, new filter, fluid top-up, etc. Almost pulled out of the lot before I noticed that my tires hadn't been rotated. In fact, none of the "premium" services had been applied to my vehicle. Had to turn around and ask them to do it properly. Paid $400+ to diagnose a rattling sound under the hood. They changed something, sound persisted, and then suggested they change the same thing on the other side for another $400+ with no guarantees that would fix it either. I declined. Brought my car in for brakes/alignment, when I left the car was drifting hard to the left. Had to bring it back in for another adjustment. Went in to have them install a battery I'd already bought, a 20 min job, and they wanted to charge me $130, stating that they always charge one labor hour for battery installations. Regardless of how long it took and regardless of the fact that two years ago they installed the SAME BATTERY in the SAME VEHICLE for $40. Just can't keep coming back here after all this. Never a good experience.

I took my car for inspection and was told it didn’t pass because the hood latch was faulty. I was quoted over $300 for the job. I kindly declined and took it to my honest mechanic who said there was nothing wrong with the latch, it just needed a little grease. Incompetence or dishonesty?

A good Mechanic is a rare thing, an honest one is even rarer. The guys at liberty have been consistently both for the last seven years that I’ve been using them. Recently, they fixed my van that’s been having an electrical problem for years that I was ignoring because I thought it’d wouldn’t be worth the price to diagnose. These guys took care of it and explained what the problem was without trying to add on a bunch of technical mumbo jumbo or upsell me on unnecessary tests.

Be very careful going here if you received a coupon/promotion. I recently received nearly $600 in repairs from Franconia Service Center. I received a valid coupon for this service center by mail, and the service center rejected it. I was repulsed from using this coupon three times. When I dropped my car off- I was told to bring the coupon when I picked the car up. When I picked my car up, I was told to call in the morning to get a refund for my transaction, when I called to get a refund, I was told I couldn’t get a refund over the phone. Why are they mailing out fake coupons they won’t honor? I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s legal.

They charge a reasonable price, get repairs done in a timely fashion, and provide great customer service as well. I truly appreciate the honesty and thoroughness of the staff who inspected my vehicle. It was my first time at this shop, and it definitely did not disappoint. I was sent clear pictures of the issues they identified, which really helped me understand what needed attention. Special thanks to Marvin, the manager, for running such a trustworthy and professional team. What upset me, though, was realizing that the inspector at my previous car shop clearly didn’t do their job properly—there’s no way the part in question could have deteriorated to this state in just a year. I’m grateful this shop caught it before things got worse.

Went there and asked them to perform a camshaft correlation test after getting persistent error code. This involves connecting a code reader with a computer with GM compatible software and reading desired exhaust/intake cam position vs actual exhaust/intake cam position to determine if the timing chain is stretched or needs to be replaced. They did a multipoint inspection but did not do this test that I requested, but they told me they did. I asked how many degrees was it off, they couldn't answer with a number but said it was off. Also charged $200 for the multipoint inspection; the rough running was fixed by adding oil. I bought the advanced code reader and installed the software and performed the test myself. The actual vs desired position was off by less than a degree. Replacing the timing chain would have been an expensive repair, and they flat out LIED TO MY FACE when they said the numbers were off. Either they're extremely incompetent or very dishonest. I wouldn't even stop there to buy gas now.

🚨 WARNING – Get a second opinion before coming here 🚨 I went to this shop to replace a headlight bulb on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They initially told me it would be about $600 for the part and labor. Later they called me back and said the bulb had “exploded” and melted the socket, and that I now needed to replace the entire headlight assembly for around $2,000. That sounded suspicious. I even checked with someone I know at a Jeep dealership, and he told me it's very uncommon for a bulb to explode and melt the socket like that. So I went for a second opinion. The other mechanic checked it and guess what? Nothing was melted. Nothing was broken. They simply replaced the bulb, and everything worked perfectly. I honestly felt like they were trying to sell me a $2,000 repair I didn’t need. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before trusting this place.
