Service was WAY above and beyond. Our car was overheating a couple months after a repair from Whitney's. It turns out it was a faulty water pump that had nothing to do with the repair (it is a Ford recall). The service was outstanding in three ways: 1) Before we knew the problem, rather than towing the car back to Whitney's (it was overheating by the end of the driveway so couldn't be driven) they sent someone to the house to look at it with the hopes that could be a quick fix. When it didn't end up as a quick fix, they arranged for the tow and got the car back to the shop. Hassle free! 2) After they diagnosed the problem (and determined it wasn't related to the original repair), they could have simply fixed it or washed their hands of the problem. Instead, they researched the Ford recall and suggested we take it to Ford to have the problem fixed under the recall. 3) When I called the local Ford dealer, they refused to take on the problem. So, Whitney's sprung into action AGAIN, connecting with a different dealer and working with them to get the repair covered under the recall. Quite honestly, when I first called Whitney's I assumed they would say it had been too long since the original repair and not be helpful (nothing to do with Whitney's, just general pessimism). To get this level of support instead was such a welcome surprise that even though I don't normally write reviews, I was inspired to write about this experience. And, of course, the original repair work was great! Car came back like new. All this great service wouldn't mean much without that.

We had an insurance-covered repair done in December - fairly extensive front end work. The whole experience was worry-free; all the staff were professional and friendly, fine workmanship, on time. A really excellent experience. AND they cleaned the inside of the car, even wiped down the smudged steering wheel and door panels, etc.

I'll go back here for life and recommend this shop to everyone! Here's why: Integrity, honesty, and excellent customer service. What happened: I ran into a snow pile and screwed up my bumper. The dealership said it was broken and recommended Whitney's for repairs. I figured a new bumper would cost more than $250 but Troy at Whitney's offered to "see what they could do". He said I could wait and they'd put it up on the hoist but it could be an hour, so he offered me a shuttle ride home (at no charge)! A couple hours later, he called back to say it was definitely broken but they put it back together and it looked fine. He did not try to sell me a new bumper because he didn't think I needed it! Then he offered a shuttle to pick me up...and the total cost? FREE! He said that's just the way they do business. Awesome. Oh, and the shuttle driver, Dan? He was gracious, courteous, friendly and kind. I guess it's the kind of place that takes care of their employees, too. Good job Dusty! Choose Whitney!

Visited two Gerber locations in Ann Arbor Friday. Clearly, they hire and train the best. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. They made sure I knew while waiting that they saw me and would be with me soon. I watched and listened as they dealt with a very challenging customer in a very professional and polite manner. When my turn at both locations they took time to look at my possible job request. It was the smallest of the small repairs and they treated me like I was getting a complete autobody overhaul. They provided good advice and were considerate of my newness to town with directions and phone numbers to another location. Well done to the leadership team here.

Marilyn and Nickole at the Gerber Collision off Jackson Rd in Ann Arbor are amazing to work with! They were kind, compassionate, considerate. Both ladies worked their tales off making sure the process was as painless and straightforward as possible. So kind and wonderful to work with, truly a pleasure. My truck was given back to me in amazing condition. They had multiple claims to tackle and my truck looks beautiful! It was also nice and clean on the inside. I will only be working with this Gerber here forward. They were amazing through the whole process, keeping me informed and updated. Wow! What a great experience at Gerber! Farmers recommended them and they were not my normal go to body shop but I was open to trying them out. Am I glad I did! The work was done a day early. I am OCD with a really high expectation. 9 out of 10 repair shops/mechanics/contractors disappoint me. I was ready for "the usual". But the work was exemplary! I was so pleased that I went in to thank them personally. Then I got into my car...they had detailed it like brand new! I have seven kids and that car was trashed. Now I want to sleep in it. Hats off to Gerber and their team. I highly recommend!

The Gerber Collision on Jackson Rd. in Ann Arbor was by far the best repair facility I have ever been to. Nicole was so very informative on the whole process and kept me updated at least twice a week, so I never had to worry about the status of my car. From the moment I went in for an estimate everything was very detailed and geared towards the customer. I had gone to other shops, and they were very quick with the estimate and were more focused on them vs. the customer. I found them from the Subaru website as they were a certified repair facility, and my Outback Wilderness was only 3 weeks old when I was rear ended, so I wanted to find the best shop to do the work, and this was exactly that place. The work was top notch and fast, they ensured only the OE parts were used. They were so efficient, and customer focused even took care of the rental car, the day I dropped off the car they already had a shuttle scheduled for me to go pick up the car and when it was time to get my own car back, all I had to do was go to the shop, they took the keys and had the rental picked up and turned it. Picking a repair shop for your car can be stressful but this Gerber makes it so easy, and rest assured you are getting the absolute best work!

Working with the team at the Gerber (Jackson Rd location) was a great experience. The estimator is a true professional and fully understands the various nuances of a body repair job. During the estimate, she provided me with a clear and detailed explanation of the various stages of the repair (other shops were not as detailed) and I felt very comfortable that she’ll take care of the repair as if it is her own car. Communication during the repair was great and I was notified every few days about the timeline. The repair itself and the paint matching (of a specialized paint) were perfect! Having body damage to your car is never pleasant, but working with the team at Gerber (Jackson Rd) made the whole experience smooth and worry-free and, most importantly, fully restored the damage!

I drive an older vehicle 2004 in fact but in like new condition. I had pride in that vehicle so I kept full coverage insurance on it. There was a very minor accident so I took it to them for repair. The estimator wrote my car up as to total it. The only damage was to a fender, a signal light and the bumper cover. I know this because I was an auto mechanic for 50 years and I know cars. When she realized it wasn't going to be a high dollar quick flip, she padded the estimate so it would exceed the value of my car thus being totaled. I fixed the car myself for under 1000.00 dollars. What really gets to me is the fact that I can no longer get full coverage on my car because it is listed as a total. If you have a minor fender bender don't go to Gerber because they're not interested unless they can make the big money on newer vehicles. I know the car business, I've only been doing it longer than the "estimator" has been alive!

I was taken aback to learn that my vehicle appears to have been taken for a joy ride. The odometer increased by six miles, and the turbo gauge was maxed out at over 20 lbs of boost. I had intentionally noted the mileage and reset the boost gauge prior to dropping the vehicle off. That said, I want to acknowledge that the work completed was impressive — the paint quality and body lines are excellent.
