I drive all the way from Mooresville to Hickory to have Kurt service my 2009 BMW650i and I wouldn't consider allowing anyone else to work on my vehicle - EVER! Kurt is trustworthy, honest and never going to make a repair unless 100% necessary. He is knowledgeable and knows BMWs inside and out! NEVER will I go to a dealership again! I have owned three Mercedes Benz cars and one BMW and I know how hard it is to find an honest and reasonable mechanic to service these autos. I currently own a 2008 Mercedes GL320 and have had brake shoes replaced and a regular service performed by Curt at this garage and I have to say that I was more than pleased at his professionalism, honesty and integrity, not to mention his skill as a European auto mechanic. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and when I visit family in the Hickory area I make it a point to have my service work done with Curt and his staff. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Total rip job. Took Mercedes in for convertible top repair. Said it was low on hydraulic fluid but didn’t bother to check for leak. Took back after top worked just once after all the fluid leaked out again. They told me there was a leak & owner would have to get back to me on repair amount. Never heard from him. Had already spent $200. Went somewhere else & had to pay $900 to get it fixed right. Do yourself a favor & don’t go here. Go to Bess Automotive in Hildebran. Much better at Mercedes repair.

I’ve gotten work done there three times now on my Mercedes. Each time he is come in at exactly the price he told me it would be. The waiting room is super clean with Wi-Fi. Right across the street is an outstanding brewery making for a wonderful overall experience.

Being the owner of two Mini's I am accustomed to the sticker shock when it comes to even what one would hope to be the simplest of repairs. The check engine light had come on and I was living in denial about it for a while because in the past this meant a repair in the thousands of dollars from our regular repair place. I did some research and found German Auto Repair. I did have to wait for an appointment, however upon arrival at 8:00 AM on appointment day I found a VERY clean shop, a comfortable waiting room, and above all a kind and genuine greeting. They took my car right in for a diagnostic. I was told it would take about an hour. 20 minutes later they had the diagnosis and could fix it within the next 30 minutes! I was shocked as I am used to leaving the Mini for multiple days. On top of the that the repair cost was extremely reasonable considering it is a Mini. Hands down the BEST automotive repair experience I have ever had.

I have been a customer for many years. I have to say, when it came time to have my BMW or Mercedes repair work done...there has been no other shop I would let touch my cars. I recently had my Porsche Cayman S repaired by Wayne and the crew, and they did I a fantastic job. I recommend this shop to everyone! These guys are the real deal. I've experienced several local mechanics in this exact area over the past 5 years with BMW and Mercedes, spent over $6300 in total, and the honesty at this small, clean, organized, prompt and courteous team structure has impressed me. They went beyond the call of business and provided more in areas that was NOT required. They have me and my beautiful Mercedes for life. I picked "German Auto Service" because of all the positive reviews I read and I must say that I certainly made the correct choice. As soon as I walked in I was greeted at the door. I also noticed how clean and orderly everything was in the service area and also in the lobby. I was introduced to Wayne (Service Advisor) and he and Kurt (Technician) went out to my car and Kurt was able to fix my one problem on the spot. Wayne then gave me an estimate for work I need to get done in the future and his estimate will save me hundreds of dollars over the estimate I got from one of the National franchises that specialize in brakes. I highly recommend Wayne and his team. They are honest, friendly and extremely competent.

They are incredible!!!! The trunk door on my Mini Cooper wouldn’t stay up so they replaced the hinges. I am only 5 feet tall and not very strong. I didn’t have the strength to close it so I went back this morning without an appointment. They immediately worked on my car and now it’s easy for me to open and close. I am so very happy that I went there. Their service is 5 plus!!!!!

This is the BEST place I have had any work done on my cars in 40 years that really new what they were doing. Wayne is such a nice person. The shop is spotless clean. Such positive and honest people. I wish they worked on American cars. They are deserving of 10 stars. I usually do not write reviews however, these guys just impressed me so much. They should own two shops to keep up with their great business. I can not say enough “GOOD” towards every aspect of meeting them and their expertise.
