I have a 2012 650i convertible. The car was 'acting up' and the 'other BMW service in The Woodlands' was not providing quality service so I decided to try German High Tech. Vladimir and Brian were professional, correctly diagnosed the issue, provided advice and replaced ignition coils and the engine supports. The work was performed in a timely manner and the results are incredible. This repair was almost 1 year ago to the date of this review - I waited to ensure the car was running correct and I have not had any issues since I brought it to German High Tech. This is my new preferred service provider for my BMW in The Woodlands.

I had to take our 2018 VW Tiguan to German High Tech twice within two weeks (two different, unrelated issues). They do stellar work and the repairs both times were completed per the detailed estimate. Brian was extremely helpful and considerate. I am very satisfied with the work done and will definitely return. I HIGHLY recommend the shop.

Amazing shop! They found the problems with my son's Audi quickly. The work completed was done faster and for less than the original quote. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest shop that does fantastic work.

We had a great experience with Brian at German high tech. We felt he was very fair and honest. We thought we might need rotors on the front and back but it turned out we didn't need back rotors and so didn't need to replace them and were able to save some money. I also love that we were able to get in and out in the same day and everything was ready to go when we arrived. I also love how close they are! I will definitely be taking my car back there.

Update: First of all my car has been to another shop since leaving your shop. So if an ex employee of yours is stating these things it just seems like confirmation to what the other shop has told me. Secondly, to answer your question Why would I take my car somewhere else? My car has been in your shop several times for the same issue. Replaced engine mount at least 2 times in a month, A/C compressor 2 in a month I can continue with more. It is in the shop now for an oil pan, air intake manifold and lower control arms. All of these things have been replaced by your shop between Dec 2022-Aug 2023. At least 7 parts (I think it could really be more) have had to be replaced either by your shop or by another shop within a month to 1.5 years of original repair at GHT. So the answer to that question is simple. Peace of mind. Not stressing if the parts put on your car are faulty or if the workmanship is faulty or if the parts were ever replaced! Original Post Please stay away from this place. They have done a great amount of work on my Audi over the past couple of years. Between me & my warranty, they have been paid nearly $20k. Just to have my car go back in the shop to repair a lot of the same items that was supposed to be repaired. It is currently in the shop as I type this review for items that were supposedly repaired in August 2023 and December 2022. I can write a grocery list on repairs that have had to be repaired. Read the last sentence again. Claiming parts were changed only to find out from another mechanic that the parts were never changed.

Very, very satisfied on the repair process & turnaround time. Anthony is attentive & communicative. I’ve brought both my vehicles here for repairs I could not do due to the excessive heat. My BMW had an evap small leak issue that an OEM & another shop could not figure out. These guys nailed it. I HIGHLY recommend. You will not be disappointed.

These folks are friendly, upfront, and the best repair shop this side of Houston. They always take excellent care of my car at a fair price. They even were able to change out my dead battery within an hour on a Saturday.

Great experience with German High Tech. High integrity, very fair pricing (significantly better than dealership), and extremely friendly service. The owner (Brian) is very approachable and transparent with everything. I had a coolant leak in a BMW just out of warranty - the BMW dealer quoted a new radiator and upper hose was needed. The tech at German High Tech determined the radiator was fine - and the car just needed the hose. They don’t sell you what you don’t need. If you have a German vehicle out of warranty and not leased with the service package - I would highly recommend this shop for repairs and service.

My vehicle broke down while I was driving with my family to the grocery store. Luckily we were on the road right next to German High Tech and were able to park there. They were closed, but the owner Brian was in the office working. He took me and my family in and took great care of us. He was kind, hospitable, trustworthy, and genuine. If it weren’t for him, my wife and infant son would have been exposed the almost 100 degree heat for hours. Brian’s shop was closed for the day, but he took time to help me find a mechanic who was open and could take care of us. His sincerest efforts to take care of us as random strangers, surely speaks volumes of his care for his customers. I will be recommending German High Tech to everybody I know.

The shop manager Vladimir is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I was in the process of dropping my car off for a 600$ maintenance service, waited inside the small lobby for 15 minutes, and he came in super hot headed all because I was waiting for my ride. I wouldn’t trust leaving a 5,000$ car there much less a 80k car given the fact he’s the shop manager. If he thinks that kind of behavior is okay, who knows what kind is behavior is acceptable behind the closed doors! I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

After reading a recent review I only felt it necessary to share my experience. I was a loyal and satisfied customer at German Hi Tech under the old ownership. I was even a happy and satisfied customer under the current ownership until I recently learned about repairs that were done to my vehicle without my knowledge or consent. I took my Lexus in for service and was told that I had a transmission problem which required a used transmission be installed. After the transmission was installed the problem was not fixed. Back to the drawing board and the “real” problem was discovered and repairs on my car were performed without informing me or gaining my consent. I paid $2800 for a used transmission and labor when it turns out a $350 used part unrelated to the transmission fixed the problem. You don’t perform work on someone’s vehicle without informing them or gaining their consent. That is not transparency. Why would I not be told about this? Simply put my original transmission was fine. I have done my research and due diligence, followed the paper trail and I have proof. In addition the labor hours billed for replacing the transmission was almost double that of what I should have been charged for. Again, I have proof. When the new owner was confronted he admitted to everything that I have stated but says that the original diagnosis showed a transmission problem and when the new transmission didn’t fix the problem, he just decided to go ahead and take care of the real problem and not charge me. Not his place or his decision to make when it comes to my vehicle. Ask yourself if everything was on the up and up why not just tell me about it? Especially if you were doing me a “favor”. I’m sure you’ll see a reply blaming the old owner for every bit of this fiasco. However, you were the man in charge at the time, this falls solely and squarely on your shoulders. Don’t hide behind the Symantec’s of you poor business dealings with the old owner. In full transparency I was offered a $800 certificate toward a future repair. Appreciative but worthless because I will never take my vehicle back there after what I deem to be a cover up, with the bosses knowledge. Also in full disclosure I requested a refund of the $2800 minus the $350 it took to fix the real problem. I was told “no” because the repair has lasted 2 and 1/2 years. That is a reasonable response however which repair lasted 2 and 1/2 years? The transmission that I didn’t need or the repair you did without my knowledge or consent. This is about ethics. What happened to me was unethical. Folks, Just because a place is convenient and close by especially when it comes to working on foreign cars, do your research. The price of convenience is high as you already know and you just might get and pay for something you didn’t need like I did. Food for thought!

Vladimir and Brian were good to deal with performing significant repairs on my German vehicle including air conditioning, brakes, and a radiator. The price was reasonable compared to that of the dealer with very good quality work being performed as best I can tell. The turnaround time of getting the repairs done was very good given the current challenges in that space. Thank you German High Tech for a very positive experience and getting me back on the road in no time. You will be my first call next time around!

I started going to German High Tech to get three of my company’s vehicles inspected 2 years ago. Brian is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. He thoroughly inspects our vehicles and gives great insight when he sees a potential problem. I have also trusted him to inspect my personal vehicle as well. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else.

The team here have integrity and transparency. I’ve trusted this shop to perform major repairs on my Range Rover Sport and the service I received was first class. I can’t say enough good things about Brian and his team, if you want a shop that takes care of you at a fair value, trust the team at German High Tech/Welcome Automotive!

The evening before my scheduled surgery, parked at a drug store, my Mercedes failed to start, everything frozen. Several people and two tow truck drivers failed to get it started or towed. I had met Brian before so I called and got Tracy, the Service Manager. I explained my dilemma. He was just closing but said he would wait to see if I was successful getting car towed. Things worsened and I was freezing. Tracy said he would not leave me in the dark, he would come and got things sorted out. His concern, knowledge and ability was immediately displayed as he examined my car, spent quite awhile calling to get a tow to come as it was late evening, After hours of standing in the cold I was so impressed with his ability to get things sorted out. I had the surgery and Tracy called me the next day to explain what the problem was and to give me a quote and timeline for completion. Excellent facility. Sandi A

German High Tech provided an excellent experience! They took care of my car problems efficiently and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Their billing process was transparent, and they were highly responsive to both texts and calls. My car holds a lot of sentimental value, and not many places are willing to work on it—but they did, and they made it a great experience. I highly recommend them if you have a German car!

I’ve been coming to German High Tech for years and they always provide excellent service. Recently I had issues with my car and because I had warranties I went to the Volkswagen dealership (horrible experience) from now own I will only get work done at German High Tech. They tell you everything and give quotes.

I can't say enough about my great experiences with this shop! They saved me from purchasing a vehicle which would have been a nightmare in repairs! I took it to them for a PPI and they found numerous issues. I followed their recommendations and ended up with another make of vehicle and couldn't be happier! Because I had them check it out right after I bought it, I was able to get numerous upgraded repairs done at the dealers expense under the 90 day warranty. Money and time well spent thanks to Mario and the rest of the hard working folks at German High Tech. Thank you for getting me into my "bucket list" car!
