I've bought two Jeeps at High Octane. I guess it's a good place to buy used Jeeps, however they don't pay attention or care if their vehicles are in good working condition. The first Jeep I bought was in great condition, and I haven't had a single issue with it. I was so happy that I went back the next time I needed a vehicle. I test drove one with a blown wheel bearing and they were oblivious until I told them. This should have been a warning sign. Unfortunately the second Jeep I bought had major issues. Within two days of buying it, it started leaking coolant and overheating leaving my wife and 2 kids stranded on the side of the road. I took it back to High Octane and they said it was the water pump. They replaced this for $100. A couple days later the upper radiator hose exploded and the vehicle blew a head gasket. Again stranding my wife and kids and putting them in serious danger. I took it back to High Octane again (like an idiot) and they replaced the head gasket. This took them 3 times as long as they originally said (3 weeks vs. 1 week), though they did give me a break on the price. However the discount they gave me was dwarfed by the cost of renting a car for 3 weeks while they serviced the vehicles of customers who were paying full price. This still did not fix the problem. A couple of days after getting the vehicle back again it began to overheat again. I pulled off the road, let it cool off and took it to another mechanic. Turns out the real issue was the radiator fan module. This $10 part was the problem all along, and is apparently a very common issue with Jeeps. Do not take your Jeep here for service. Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes and and understand that they do decent repair work, but without thinking about the interaction of all of the vehicles components. Simply being able to do a repair without asking why/how it needed to be repaired is not the sign of a master mechanic, much less an expert on Jeeps.

Tom, Tom and Mark are very friendly and honest, Mark the mechanic is very knowledgeable and wont try to sell you something that is not broken. The owners are very friendly and greet you as you walk in and give honest no BS answer's when talking to them about repairs. I find this shop the best around and would rather give my business to a family owned and operated small business then to a money hungry company that only cares about the money and doesn't care about my Jeep. Mark is the only mechanic that will fix my Jeep. Thank you for all you do.

I am new to owning a Jeep, Tom made the process VERY easy to choose. He was ready and willing to answer any questions, he has a large variety of Jeeps and his muscle cars are beautiful, his staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great buying experience and will be returning to look for an other Jeep one day I'm sure.

I've used these guys for a couple repairs on my '07 jeep now. One time was a fairly challenging problem that the team was able to diagnose. Prices are fair, work is quality, communication is solid. It's a local shop and Tom and the guys have always done a great job. Would recommend them any time.

Tom Sr. and his crew are solid, honest, hard-working, great guys. We bought our beloved XJ from Tom, and from the minute we met him we just knew he was trustworthy and honest. I trust him implicitly with our Jeep and will absolutely make the drive from Boulder when we have real work to be done, or when we have Jeep buying/selling needs again. Thank you High Octane!

Very pleased! I went to high octane for help with a check engine light and very glad I did. I took my Jeep in same day and got it back same day. I had the pleasure of working with Jacob and he knows his Jeeps! Highly recommend and will continue to do business with this shop. Thank you for fixing a problem that I tried to fix but couldn’t!

I would recommend anyone looking for a Jeep and for a trustworthy seller/mechanic to start here. Although I ended up not being able to purchase the wrangler I was looking at, Tom Sr. Was great. He kept me updated with what was going on with the Jeep and even gave me tips and what to avoid when looking at other Jeeps from other sellers. If/when I do find a Jeep I will definitely come here to get it worked on.

I've always believed that you should never buy the first car you look at. After deciding to buy a Jeep as a toy and to do some work on with my kids, the first one I saw in person was at High Octane. I liked that they were a couple of regular guys (father and son, in fact) who specialized in Jeeps. After seeing about a dozen more over the next week, sure enough I was back. Not only was the Jeep everything I wanted and needed, the price was great, especially considering they had just sent it out to have the rear end rebuilt. They could have sold it without the rear end rebuild, and probably at the same price considering the other options I saw out there. But it needed to be done, so they did it. After we made the deal, they even went ahead and did a full tune-up, not because it was strictly necessary but because it was the right thing to do. There was a slight hiccup with the paperwork when I went to register the Jeep, but Tom took care of it quickly and professionally, no questions asked. This is probably the first online review I've ever written, but I thought it was important to help support these guys because they deserve it. You won't regret doing business with Tom and Tom, and you probably won't find a better Jeep out there. If they have the one you want, save yourself the headache and just buy it.

Never take a Jeep to this Shop for work! The salesman told me I would need a New Carrier to take a 2010 Jeep JK from 3.21 to 4.10 in.gearing. When thousands of Jeep forums exist do not listen to outright lies ever. This shop is a scam wait to happen.

This shop is great. Tom and Jacob took care of my 2008 jeep patriot. It had a crankshaft sensor problem. I had already read the engine codes before I called to find out if they could work on it. Other shops totally ignored me and just said bring it in. They instead listened to what I had found out and gave me an accurate description of what needs to be done for that error. They didn't push back or get nasty when I tried to point out the error codes i found. They did another diagnostic when i brought it in to be sure. They totally fixed the problem. I called in on a Tuesday and was fixed by Friday, I know not all issues are that fast, I appreciate the speed at which they did the repair. These guys are legit and know jeep through and through, you can tell as soon as you walk into the shop. Got to talk with Tom for a bit, he's the kind of person you want in charge of a team. Thanks again, I will return for any future problems with my jeep.

I took my 99 wrangler here to have the front end inspected after some side to side wobble and alignment issues. The guys here were fast, honest, and even gave me some tips for fixing a different issue. I felt the pricing was fair, and I got my jeep back that same day. They also were great about telling me which issues were priority and which I could postpone. Would absolutely recommend to people with Jeeps, particularly older ones.

2 other mechanics could not identify the correct problem causing the check engine light on my TJ. High Octane resolved the issue immediately, allowing me to finally pass emissions testing. I would definitely recommend!

Tim and Tom are great. They listened to the issue I'm having with my Jeep, even test drove it even though they were busy. Amazingly, the issue was isolated to my drive shaft within minutes. They know their stuff for sure! I have an appointment with them next week, for the repair.

These guys know Jeeps and have given me the best service I have seen in a while. I would trust them with any Jeep issue and will brig it back again if need. They even came in below the original quoted price so I trust them even more. Don’t hesitate to bring your rig here.

Solid family owned friendly jeep shop. The made special accommodations for my schedule and knocked out my maintenance request for a reasonable price. They also gave me some great 4 wheel advice for taking better care of my jeep post-trails. Lots of cool jeeps for sale on the lot as well! Highly recommend this place for your jeep maintenance.

A little back story, I’m currently driving to every national park in my 2 door Jeep Wrangler, during my first 1000 miles I’ve noticed my coils were completely bottomed out. I knew that there would be a shop in Colorado so during my drive I call High Octane. Tom Jr. answers and he immediately knew what I needed to fix my issue, he does all the research and gives me a quote, extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. They had to install an airlift 1000 system in my jeep, not anything too complicated but something I wasn’t equipped to do on my trip. After about 6 hours and roughly $1k later I was out the door. The whole time they were working with me on where I wanted things and made sure it was to my liking. Now to the reason I’m giving them 3 stars. The same day after installation I noticed the system was leaking, roughly 5 psi an hour (I figured it wasn’t that big of a deal, it was probably because I was really heavy). Four days later the leak is now 3 psi a minute, every 10 minutes I had to inflate the bags because they were completely empty. I’m now in California and I pull into an O’Reilly’s. I figured there were a few fittings that weren’t clamped so I’ll go ahead and clamp them. Before doing anything I crawl under the jeep and noticed my driver side coil was out of place and completely unseated and because it was unseated it pinched the bag and that was leaking… Here I am now in California with no way to fix my issue. Luckily I found an auto shop who was willing to let me use their lift to reinstall my coil myself. Am I upset? Yes! I spent $1000 for quality work, but instead I have to beg borrow and steal and fix it myself, which did end up costing me another $250 Now granted, I’m sure if I was still in Colorado I’m sure the guys at high octane would have fixed it for me. And if I had thought about my issue before leaving for my trip I would have avoided the headaches all together. In the end I’m still grateful of the guys for finding the solution I needed, but $600 in labor should have bought better quality workmanship.

Tom Sr and Tim took great care of my Trailhawk. I replaced the struts, shocks, and springs myself and went to them to check my work. They took great personal care of me and my Cherokee trailhawk. When something came loose a few days later they got me right back in at no charge to fix the issue. I will definitely go see them in the future.
