I’m having the worst experience with the Intoxalock device. This device malfunctions randomly numerous times, which results in me having to pay more money to get it recalibrated. I have even had a false positive while sitting in my car. I had just blew a negative 4 minutes prior for the “initial start up” of the car. There was another circumstance, while I was working. I received a lock out and I wasn’t driving during the time. My car was parked in my employer garage. I have to constantly dispute violations and the customer service representatives are not very helpful. I feel like this entire company is a scam. They are profiting from a system that is broken.

I had a very bad experience at the cartoys location in Bellevue when I was there,No body showed me how to use the interlock device! Tried to get it to work with the installation person right there the device locked me out and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone at Intoxilock so I had the device removed! So including the tow there and back home and having to pay almost 500$I spent 1000 Dollars for nothing what are you going to do about it I don’t have money to pay for nothing!

Intoxalock is truly the worst company I've ever tried to deal with. I was cleared to have the device removed on March 2, but can't get ahold of them any which way I try. They don't respond to anything I do on the app or the website, and they never answer my call. I've been waiting on the phone over 7 hours. Now they are threatening me with locking my car and having to get it towed because of needing to have the device calibrated. I have had to pay $140 in service fees when I don't even want the device anymore. There is no way to contact them and they just keep charging me money. The Dept of Licensing should ban them from doing any more business. Besides all that, the horrible device is extremely dangerous. You are forced to retest while you're driving, and it is a distraction from driving. **Update** Their response is completely useless. I have tried the text line they gave, and the number. Worthless. They don't text back ever, and don't ever answer the phone. They have completely ruined my life, and this is the answer they give? To try the same things that haven't worked for a week? I will end up paying thousands of dollars for Uber rides and I will never get this device removed. They should be shut down.

She made the experience great it was efficient and thorough attentive customer service The only thing is is that the scheduler doesn’t have Car Toys schedule so they will schedule you but then you get to wait about an hour so just plan for that

Absolutely the worst possible experience. The device they installed was someone else's device so it took a month and a half before I got it activated and two months before I could get it reported to the D.O.L. Had no problem taking my money, horrible customer service. I made about 50 phone calls on 3 or 4 separate issues. Spent many hours on the phone talking to supervisors and sales people along with the horrible automated service. I was told I would get discounts that never happened because of the inconvenience. Had a death in the family the same week as my Calibration date, and they showed no concern and said had to tow my vehicle to the Calibration place ($170).

Car Toys is fine, Intoxalock is a garbage company and so are the employees. Nobody knows how to solve your issue with the device or they just don't want to so they transfer you to another 'department' is what they say but it's just to another employee that's sitting a few cubicles down. And sometimes they'll just hang up on you or pretend they don't understand what you're saying. Oh and the Ignition Interlock device they install is garbage too. I had just got done eating lunch at work (Peanut Butter & Jelly w/ Milk) and it failed me for that. I could go on and on with this bogus company but they've already gotten too much of my time.

Unbelievably bad at everything besides taking your money, unbearably difficult to get a hold of anyone on the phone. Worst phone tree to navigate , the chat feature on the website literally does not work and when you’re stuck on hold for over an hour and cannot get your device recalibrated no one cares. No one will ever care at this this company and honestly I’m sure this is just going into the void but maybe a real life human will see this message and call (hilarious that I think that may happen) , and hopefully that call that never comes happens before the inevitable lockout. No words exist to begin to describe how frustrating it is to be praying anyone even reaches out to me and knowing when they finally do they will not be able to help. This entire book I just wrote is literally about trying to call to get my device removed and I wrote this entire thing while on hold, by the way. Just one little thing I needed to do, talk to someone on the phone or even the chat would’ve worked but it would just end the chat on me- just one little thing led to such a horrible experience !! Now imagine 2 years of same type of frustrations of dealing with this company.

Awful experience with this company. They don't tell you about the bi-weekly fees when you first sign up or any of there other hidden fees at that. When I first talked on the phone to get this device set up, all he said was $270 for the installation, which came to be $370 plus and extra $170 within the first two weeks. My device has had issues within the first month where I have to wait for 8 minutes before my car can even start. Even the person I've had to talk to in person at the service center in Bellevue isn't the friendliest either. Always has a whatever type attitude. He truly makes the experience worse. The only convenience about this is that the phone service is 24 hours. The device is the size of a brick charger. SmartStart is the way to go. This company sucks (Edit) Got call not much later and the person I spoke with was a great help with what he could do. Definitely appreciated him. The friendliest guy I've spoken to thus far.

Signed the contract, girl over the phone was nice until the moment I paid . After that - robot call no operator available. Went to the shop next day to remove device. They scheduled me for 9:00am guys at the shop said we don’t have any appointments under your need nobody called us. Terrible company and service

At first, everything seemed professional — Intoxalock was quick to sell the service, and the initial communication went smoothly. I was quoted $300 for installation over the phone, but ended up being charged $440. On top of that, the device drained my car battery on the first day, even though I have a brand-new battery installed. When I attempted to cancel the service, it took over two hours just to reach a specialist. I was scheduled for removal on May 1st, but upon arrival, the shop claimed they had no confirmation from Intoxalock and no certificate. After another hour on hold, the support team finally sent the certificate and rescheduled me for later the same day. I was promised the removal would take 1–3 hours. However, by 6:50 PM, my car still hadn’t been touched. I finally got the car back at 8:10 PM — far beyond any reasonable expectation. In total, I paid $440 for installation, $190 for removal, $50 just to confirm I’m willing to cooperate, and now I’m told I owe another $150. All this after using the service for just a single day. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
