Don’t go there if they say they can inspect your out of state car At least if you’re from ny because they can’t! They charged me$75 for an NY inspection. And when called would not refund my money instead he back tracked on everything he had said originally. I called back to try an d get a solution he asked me to listen to his side I did but when I tried to express my side he told he was wasting his time listening to me. He said he would do some kind of partial refund but instead of offering g me that he just kept telling me I was wrong and he was right.

I’ve been here a few times. Best place to get a smog check. The guy running the place is super friendly and knows what he is doing. I recommend this smog check place to anyone. Update: Still a great place to get a smog check. I live in van nuys; where there are many smog checks around and this place is still my go too no matter the drive.

Okay so, came here to get a smog check and of course my catalytic converter needed to be swapped(which I knew because my husband checked with our scanner). They quoted us in the 4 digits and my husband went online to check and buy the parts himself only to find that some places require the sensors be replaced or checked before purchasing a new converter for warranty sake. So he swapped the sensors (learned off YouTube and was easy) and went back to this place and the smog passed. When we told them we just swapped the sensors they did a VERY THUROUGH inspection, which honestly pissed me off because they didn't do this thurough of an inspection to save us over 2k but they do it to make sure we didn't "cheat" our way thru this smog check. CHECK YOUR SENSORS BEFORE TAKING THEIR WORD FOR IT

Great guys, Ara was super helpful and answered all my questions over the phone. He took care of the smog check and printed my certification in less then 10 minutes. I don’t trust too many places with my cars but he took care of my 911 turbo s without any problem and let me stand inside and watch through the whole process. I will be bringing all my cars here.

Pasadena Smog Brake & Lamp & Safety came highly recommended to me by my mechanic for my OBD 1 1987 Corvette smog test which requires a dyno. Ara was friendly, respectful and took care of my car right away. I waited in a nice shaded seating area while he did the work. I highly recommend you consider bringing your new or old car here.
