The people at Rob's were GREAT to work with. I missed a couple appts due to life and they still found time to put in my struts the day after I called the third time. Josh and his team were excellent, very reasonably priced on their work, and are super friendly! Do you need quality work done? Call Rob's today!

Great mechanic located in the heart of Boulder. Had an alternator problem and they were able to get me back on the road in a few days. Quote was fair for good parts and quick turn around. All the staff was friendly and great to deal with. Local family owned business, which is getting rarer and rarer in Boulder. Appreciate their help, time, and knowledge!

DON’T DIE! Rob’s techs forgot to put a bolt back into our caliper and almost killed us. Not only that, but they left the oil filter half screwed and almost blew up our engine. Oil change and brakes is such an easy job to do and they messed up. Don’t go unless you don’t value your life or your car.

Love this business. Honest, caring and understanding of people's needs. I'm a little surprised at some of the reviews, but Jon has always taken care of my family vehicles and considerate of work schedules as well as his flexibility to get the job done quickly and efficiently and with cost in mind. Jon and his mechanics are knowledgeable about their field and take into consideration the necessity of dire situations versus things that can wait and will be honest on what's best for the individuals situations. Worth the extra time and money to take here, rather than a corporate mechanic.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I brought my car in A MONTH ago to get a new radiator after a minor crash. They had updated me within the first couple of days, but have now gone radio silent. I have had to reach out to THEM to get updates, and they still have told me nothing substantial except for excuses. I financially cannot go without a car anymore. Their mistakes have severely affected my personal life and work life. Because of their negligence and lack of accountability, I am in a financial hole… Ladies, be careful out there… yet another auto shop who likes to take advantage of small women. I always try to extend extra grace, and be understanding - because I have heard great things about this place… but boy was I wrong, and I am beyond frustrated at this point.

I was having trouble with the alternator in my van not charging the battery so I called these guys and they said "bring it in first thing tomorrow." I got there shortly after they opened and Jon was able to give me an estimate on how long it would take to get a quote and then fix. He was able to fix it a bit faster than he expected and the van was up and running right as rain. He was very helpful and kind. The service and parts were all about what I expected price wise, and he was even able to throw in a larger alternator because it's a wheelchair van with lots of extra electronics.

We were visiting Boulder from out of town and our alternator died on Friday around 3pm. Almost every shop was going to be closed for the weekend and we were supposed to leave Sunday. I found 2 places that were going to be open and after I called each, I just got a good feeling from my phone conversation with the mechanic at Rob's. We had our car towed there and after diagnosing it they said it could be ready for us Saturday around 11. I was incredibly happy we weren't going to get stuck extra nights. However just a few hours late we got a call saying the car was done. He wanted to make sure we could make it home on time and stayed late to get it done. On top of that, we were staying about 45 min away with friends and he stayed even later so we could pick it up. Incredible service, incredible work ethic, and just plain amazing kindness. I would highly recommend Rob's after our experience.

I came here to get a tire change and the service was awful and took forever. I will never be here ever again and I hope others do the same.

Came here to get some service on my truck and everyone was being extremely lazy and unhelpful, as well as overpricing everything. Wish I could give zero stars.

RUN from this scam artist. He was supposed to have fixed my air-conditioning, which I paid for, yet never did, then some minor engine and tail light repair. John, the owner, promised to have the car ready that day, And continued to lie through his teeth for days, until I just finally went and took it back from his disgusting and filthy shop. This place is not remotely trustworthy, avoid it like the plague. I’ll take it back to my more expensive mechanic, and make sure he didn’t steal things off of my car. A Totally untrustworthy, unreliable, and devious business!

Do not recommend this shop to anyone. Brought my car in for a simple repair and overcharged me like crazy. Unorganized and poor customer service

John and his team did a great job of taking care of my check engine light issue that another mechanic was going to do for way more $$$$. He only needed to replace an O2 sensor that failed so he had to try another new one so it slowed down how long he was going to have the car. Priced respectfully so I didn't feel like I was going to be struggling for a while. He's worked on another car of ours middle of last year and the same great service. Not sure where all these people with the one stars are coming from but that was not my experience.

Great place and people. I had a tire slowly running flat and they got me in instantly after calling. Unfortunately they couldn't fix it because the issue was with the valve and it has a TPMS sensor, but they didn't charge anything for the inspection and gave me some honest options for other shops. Friendly and honest shop.

I had brought my Range Rover here many times for big jobs and had gotten my car back fast and fixed. I have referred this shop to everyone I know. I brought my classic truck here to get it checked out assuming it would have the same care and consideration as my other vehicle and I was VERY wrong. Not only was I lied to multiple times about the work being done on my car and the timeline it would be done by, I was told repeatedly by Jon’s receptionist as well as himself that my car was “not worth fixing” and the engine is failing. I went in to pick it up and was told that the work that he said had been done had not been completed (3 days after he said it was) and was told to come back later that afternoon. When I did, he was not there, but the receptionist gave me the bill with charges consisting of things I did not approve or need. for example, I was charged 10 for windshield wiper fluid. I later talked to Jon about his approach on explaining what was wrong with my car in hopes we could reach an understanding and that I felt he was very disrespectful to which he shrugged off and said that “most of my clients want the truth” after I explained that this car was extremely sentimental to me and that I would be taking it to the mechanic who built the engine as his diagnostic was surface level and incomplete, trying to not get upset due to the office looking that of a day care with children and dogs running around. I left upset and with a $340 bill for changing spark plugs. Heres where things get FUN: I dropped off my car with a real mechanic to which I was instantly texted (on a Sunday night nonetheless) that 2 OUT OF 4 SPARK PLUG WIRES WERE CHANGED. I payed $340 to have an incomplete job!!!! This shop is terrible and scams women. I know if I was a man approaching this situation, I would not get the level of disrespect and blatant disregard that I was shown. My mechanic has advised me that if he truly believed my engine was failing then there would be no point in changing the spark plug wires.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any auto shop. The staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. The service was chaotic, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. They clearly have no respect for people’s time or trust. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place…you’ll thank yourself later.

I'm in the process of selling my electric vehicle. I loaned the car to a potential buyer who took the vehicle to Rob's for a presale inspection, which included using an OBD diagnostic tool to check the vehicle status and look for fault codes. The vehicle did return a handful of fault codes, which the buyer had understandable concerns about. However, ultimately some of the faults were outdated and could be cleared without issue, and the remaining faults were all addressable. The main issue was that Rob's reported the "battery capacity" to the buyer as "about half," which was an immediate deal breaker for the buyer. When he shared this with me, I was deeply confused, as the range of the vehicle is still close to 100% of what it was when it was new. Using my own OBD diagnostic tool, I confirmed that the battery health was near 100%, and that's when I realized what had happened: the technician at Rob's had misinterpreted the *current* state of charge (which was about 50% at the time of the inspection) as the batteries total capacity. Figuring that this would be a simple matter to clear up, I called Rob's and spoke the the technician. From the moment he picked up the phone, was combative and indignant, and refused to acknowledge the error. When asked if I could come by to have the car scanned with a fully charged battery to confirm the error, he said he would charge me for the full cost of another presale inspection. The mistake of the technician and total lack of accountability cost me the sale of my vehicle. If their techs don't understand the difference between a battery's state of charge and total capacity, I certainly wouldn't trust them to do any work on my vehicle. Recommend looking elsewhere.

Idiots who think they can overcharge people. Dont go here. Came here to service my toyota. Simple oil change. They charged over $200 for it, and detected fake faulty problems like “my blinker fluid is low”

Needed a simple repair done on my truck so I came in thinking it'd be straightforward and easy. Boy was I wrong. My nine year old nephew knows more about cars than these "mechanics". I wouldn't even trust them to fill my coolant. Please do yourself a favor and never come here.
