I initially took my vehicle to Sun Auto due to service notifications for “Check Engine” and “Transmission.” Notably, a transmission seal had already been replaced at this location approximately 10 months prior. Despite concerns raised by others that the issue could be related to the transmission, I was informed during my visit a few months ago that there were no problems. However, after continuing issues, I recently sought a second opinion from another service provider and was informed that my transmission now needs to be replaced. I am extremely disappointed, as the prior assessment failed to diagnose the issue accurately, leading to further damage and additional costs.

Wow! I got to tell you all if you're looking for help with your car this is truly the place to go. I'm sure they're shocked to get this review from me. They were probably thinking this guy is going to stop at nothing to destroy us and that thought did cross my mind and trust me I'm not getting paid to say this or have any exchanged favors. I'm shooting straight from the hip. My wife went to them because I was out of town. We had a huge situation and needed to drive to Virginia. I got on the phone with them because I know how women are treated when trying to get honest mechanic service. I got on the phone and spoke man to man and humbly asked to please take care of her. My first experience was a disaster simply because the manager at the one in League City almost made me cut my work trip short and come put hands on him. Like I said straight from the hip. He was extremely disrespectful and her car broke down 5mins after leaving on the freeway. She was frantic. From where I was standing the nightmare was now reality. Darren had it under control and his delivery kept my wife at ease even though we were up against the wall needing this done. Thanks to Darren and Joy you went above and beyond as much as they could. After all the trouble he only offered 10% off. Like I told him it wasn't about the money. It took Court one of the big bosses to get involved. Court is a credit to the company and because of him it got done. Thanks Court. I hope I'm spelling your name right. Haha. Jesse is the manager's name. He literally told her not to come back. Horrible customer service after a paying customer is put through this horror and you tell them not to come back. Thank you Darren and Joy for keeping it steady and helping her through that experience and Darren why you are not the manager I do not know. You guys got a bright future in customer service for sure. Needless to say we did not drive it to Virginia. A week later our car flips out again and we take it back. I'm home now so I take it myself. I take it back and and thanked Darren for his early efforts and good customer service but its still an issue. Darren wanted to have the mechanics look at it but was told no by this manager. Jesse is his name. Darren I know you tried man but Jesse refused. I could see in your eyes you didn't agree with what he told you behind that door. So I took Darren's advice tried a new location. As furious as I was you can't imagine the disappointment of a man having to walk back to that car and tell his wife they're not going to honor the work. Still I nicely walked out and found another location. I called another location in Missouri City and a gentleman name Greg answered and told me to bring it over. Me not knowing how far it was I did what I could to make sure the car could make it and headed that way. I get there and from the moment I walked in I noticed this guy extremely helpful and hospitable to the customers before me. Every delivery was with grace and you can see in his eyes he cared. Little did I know this was Greg the guy from the phone. The manager. I walked up and introduced myself as the guy on the phone and told him my issue. He was shocked at my story but quickly smiled and said no worries man I got you. He took my car back and found the problem. He never bad mouthed anybody. He told me the issue and said he can fix it but everything was about to close and it would have to be tomorrow.

I took my car there and John was so professional and really helped me get right to the problem without any problems. The very next week my wife's blazer just fell deadbeat low mileage, so I knew just where to take it. I show up and John is not there but the manager of the store is. I tell him that I think my starter is out because my battery voltage still reads normal. He never listens and send my truck to the back. He later calls me and tell me I need to pay 400 dollars for a battery so they can see what's wrong with the truck. I thought that was odd because I knew the battery was good. The mechanic later tells me my battery may read 13 volts but it's bad. I then paid a 2nd tow truck to remove my vehicle because I know a little about cars and they were trying to rob my ignorance which is sad in this day and time. Aftrr I told them to take my truck out of the garage they became very helpful and wanting to check my starter but I refused. I took my car to a mechanic and he changed my starter and I still have the same battery today. The MGar name was Greg I believe and his work attitude is not the same as John's. He will try to hustle you and take advantage of you if you dont know any better. This is the longest I ever typed but if you are in need make sure the MGR is not the one taking care of you because he will take advantage of you. I will never go back because the mechanics knew my battery was good and straight lied to my face. Another place you can't trust..BUT John was a rare experience in my life.

The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 start was because my vehicle was there for 6 hours for not so major repairs. If you are in a time crunch, this may not be the place for you. Other wise service was great. They fixed my issue and even provided me an optional recommendation for one of my issues. Great customer service. I loved the diagnostic report they provided. I know what I need to budget for repairs moving forward. It’s closer to home and open on Saturday's.

ZERO STARS!!! Extremely poor experience at Sun Auto. The staff demonstrated a clear lack of technical knowledge and attempted to upsell unnecessary repairs and parts that were not needed and ignored the repairs that had to be addressed immediately. When questioned, they were unable to provide coherent or accurate explanations. They also altered my suspension alignment, leaving the steering wheel visibly tilted. The vehicle was dropped off with the steering perfectly straight. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they falsely claimed the issue existed prior to service and then offered an absurd excuse blaming uneven road conditions on HWY 6. This is not a credible explanation and reflects either incompetence or dishonesty. I told them to not touch an additional thing on my vehicle and picked it from here right away. This shop shows no accountability, poor workmanship, and a refusal to accept responsibility for errors. I would strongly advise others to STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

I brought my car to Sun Auto today to get everything checked out before a road trip, and Mr. Greg and Mr. Jacir took care of me and my car like I was a treasured member of their own family. They handled my inspection, checked all the fluids, took care of the tires, replaced my windshield wipers, and went through every detail to make sure the car was absolutely safe for a long drive. They weren't just doing the bare minimum to get me out the door. They took the time to do it right and with pride. They showed me everything, then sent me pictures and an email so I could see exactly what they found and what they did and have a record of it. The pricing was more than fair and honest, no surprise charges or upsells. Every single person I interacted with was professional, respectful and kind. I felt like they genuinely cared about my safety and about making sure I could hit the road with confidence. I will absolutely be back.
