Brought 10 year old vehicle in for safety inspection and was presented with a bill for $1712.07 from University tire and auto. Required items to pass inspection were replacing two amber bulbs and reconditioning the headlights $365.47 Clearly this is a money grab to get vehicles in for service and attempt to replace unnecessary items such as replacing brake fluid cabin filter throttle body, etc. etc. took them an hour to inspect the vehicle and am still waiting over a half hour for them to write up the refusal letter. Will be contacting area manager. My advice, go elsewhere. Someplace where they don’t add an explanation mark after the word declined. Feel sorry for those unsuspecting car owners who fall into this trap!

Being from out of town, I needed tires during the recent storm. I stopped in and paid for 4 tires. During the installation, the tech knocked the chrome off of the wheels, he did not stop after the first and continued to damage all 4 wheels on my truck. When I brought this to the shop’s attention, their response was that it’s not their problem. The worst problem here, they never brought this to my attention, they just gave me my keys and sent me on my way. Poor business management. Sad thing is, as I talk to people from the area, university tire has a poor reputation for doing things like this to their customers. Sad. I will stay away and never use them again. That is my recommendation. I’m sure they will respond with the same bs they told me. A reputable business would have handled this differently.

We had a screw in our tire as we were traveling across the state. We called 3 different tire shops to ask if they could patch our tire. Each one said they were too busy to help us. University Tire on Seminole said they could help us right away. They repaired the tire and got us on our way. They were super friendly and kind to us. We appreciated the fact that they stopped what there were doing to help travelers get back on the road. If you need superior service with the kindest people please visit their store. We highly recommend them!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! While I can’t assume malice when ignorance is equally possible, I can assure you that I wouldn’t trust this so-called auto center with a Hot Wheels toy. Whether it was deliberate dishonesty and an attempt to scam more money by inventing fake problems, or just an astounding lack of car knowledge, I can’t say. But when the car was dropped off, they were told exactly what the problem was. They called a few hours later and, right off the bat, said they had finished looking at a completely unrelated part of the car and that the issue identified to them wasn’t the problem. This threw up alarm bells, so we refused service and picked up the car and they still charged us nearly $200 to do nothing other than claim there were a bunch of problems that weren’t actually present. After picking up the car, we took it to another mechanic in town, who was incredulous at the claims University Tire had made, confirmed that our initial diagnosis was correct, and got things fixed for nearly $75 less than University charged to, again, do absolutely nothing other than claim problems existed we have since confirmed did not. Again, I’m not claiming the business was deliberately dishonest here. It’s perfectly possible they just don’t know what they’re doing. Either way, lesson learned, we should have read the other reviews. I hope you don’t make the same mistake myself and many others, who you can read from on Google, Yelp, and Reddit, did.

Todd , and Dale we’re both great to work with and very knowledgeable. An absolute “No Pressure” situation, at the same time making the customers experience a number one priority.! Would, and will recommend them to everybody I know that needs work done on their vehicle. Will most definitely use them in the future. Thank You University Tire, Todd, Dale and the Technicians …!!!

STOLEN CAR. My car was towed at their lot after it broke down. After it was sitting there for quite some time, I went to retrieve it only to find out it’s been stolen. When I asked them about it to get more details, they said they don’t know and that they noticed it was gone. The shady part is when I asked them for the copy of my car key, they said they don’t know where it is and couldn’t locate it. They were very suspicious and acted like nothing ever happened. I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

Guy at front desk was super sweet and accommodating, but I went in for an inspection. Said they needed around $400 to fix an out tailight and foggy headlights. Did it myself for 50 bucks, and other places quoted me much less. Beware of price!!!!

Fantastic place to get all around mechanical work done. Buying tires and having your Truck lifted with any lift kit. Everyone!! you meet at this fantastic Auto Center makes you feel like you have known them for years and you feel at home. You are given the upmost respect. I mean everyone. The biggest plus!! Is they can advise you of great parts etc. You can ask any questions and they will answer you with great prices and along with great mechanics!! Service manager is a great person, he goes way and beyond to help you and make you feel confident in your decision. You want to talk to Tod Breeden for an appointment and anything your concerned about. He will advise and make you feel great about your vehicle's work to be done. I've been here a bunch of times and always will. I'm a true customer for life!!

Ready for a day of golf at Birdwood when the 'check tire pressure' light came on. After checking at two local tire centers, University Tire confidently assured me they could order the tires for next morning to get me on the road back home to Pennsylvania, and they did. Decent tires for a decent price.

Drop my vehicle off with no crack in the windshield picked it up and noticed that there was a crack in the windshield within the first 3045 minutes I had it. I called them. They admitted that the crack was not there when I dropped it off but then when I brought it back for them to see it, they told me pretty much. Oh well we’re not paying for it And they don’t know when it happened when they just admitted that they knew it wasn’t there when I dropped it off, this is a place. I would never take my vehicle again

They are amazing. We use them for our fleet vehicles and they are very thorough and explain each and every diagnosis and concern that they see and recommend. It has been an absolute pleasure doing business with them.

I noticed that my tire pressure was lower than normal after receiving my car back from my general service visit (oil change, tire rotation, inspection) but assumed that it was normal given that the point of a general service visit is to inspect for issues. The next day, my alert went off that the tire pressure was too low. They should not have deflated my tires to the point of being problematic the next day.

They are kind and customer oriented, I were coming with a dead engine. Later I found not feasible for further service. However, they still kindly provide help and support. I would put 5 stars for their kindness and customer orientation. Thank you for your help

I am not please with what my car got rejected for dirty lenses in the front, all it needed was to be clean and they wanted to charge me $200.00 "CRAZY" I think as been a woman we get taking advantage of my opinion!!!! Well I had it clean and it didn't cost me the $200 and I took it back and it passed the inspection, I understand it may needed to be clean cause it was dirty but the amount that they wanted to charge was outrageous!!

These rip-off artists just completely scammed my husband. 400 dollars for a new car battery! 160 for labor! They charged him 79 dollars to remove the old battery and another 79 dollars to put a new one in! Something autozone does for FREE. And they didn't tell him there would be a labor charge until afterwards. 400 dollars for a car battery! I can't believe it! Full story: His car had trouble starting this morning. We have AAA. I thought he did need a new battery, which AAA provides roadside service for (they quoted around 250 for a new battery including installation in the convenience of our driveway, by the way). But when AAA's tech got to our house and tested the battery, it was fine. He recommended a bench test at a mechanic just in case it was the starter which was good advice, so my husband took his car here to University Tire and Auto. I'm kicking myself for not going with him. These scammers not only talked him into getting a new battery, something he did NOT need (I saw the AAA battery test results screen myself, green and clear and good to go), but then, having conned him into an unnecessary battery purchase, they then also massively overcharged him for labor without telling him ahead of time. Predatory behavior. Heck, even if AAA's test was wrong and he did need a new battery, he could have just driven to autozone a few blocks away and gotten a new one for half that with free installation. Or called AAA again. Instead, 160 just for labor! For a battery! I am so angry. Absolutely dishonest, predatory mechanic. How much are you going to get for reselling the perfectly good battery you just stole from a loyal customer, huh?

University Tire gives me a fair price for good work. Recently suggested my son take his Honda CRV there for repair, and a noise concern. I trust these guys, had light due to breaks not being properly bleed for 4 yrs, once they did my breaks no more light. Watched a customer come in and be rude and ridiculous with his demands. Not only did they offer to fix and look into issue, remained respectful when customer was rude, I can say you get fair price for good work.

Mr. Breeden was very helpful and courteous. Tires were at a very competitive rate and was actually cheaper than Sam's club and Costco. Service was excellent . I'm very pleased with the service that I receive. Thank you !!
