When replacing a hose, they accidentally ripped the wire off my vehicle speed sensor, rendering my speedometer nonfunctional. They asserted this wasn't their fault before investigating, then when they realized what happened, they told me both wires spontaneously corroded at the same time and it was sheer coincidence that this happened while in their shop. This is the level of professionalism and accountability that they offer. There is already a complaint filed with the BBB and if they can't get AJ's to fix the damage they caused, small claims court is the next step.

I would not recommend AJj Station because they are conniving thiefs. We took our truck in for a wrench and check engine light on . we were told a wire/line was damaged and needed replaced;next morning i was called and informed all 6 lines needed repaired(job was okayed to be done)I also replace 2 tires. I was called 2 hrs before pick up and informed some other line connected to engine was going bad and needed replaced but i was told that could wait because i didnt have enough. (repair in the amount of 835.00) If i would of had enough they woild of done that repair as well. Truck was picked up, was told all lights off truck good to go to Chicago. 2 blocks into the drive the lights turned back on and vehicle was doing the same thing. Took it back and was told o well the transmission is going out . WHAT!!!!Why would they not mention that first and let me decide if i want to invest 760.00 today(400.00 in 2 weeks and 835.00 in 2 wks from that? ) Of course I asked why would you not say this. I asked for a refund on the tires they can take back and was told no, they were mounted and balance and what the heck are they going to do with them. Of course being upset 😡, robbed a few words were exchanged. The owner of this company needs to change these employees because the shop was not ran this way before. I will never visit this shop again nor recommend. I will let everyone know what type of dishonest, thieves this shop is.

This is my go-to shop. Karl is the manager, he is the best - no nonsense, doesn’t try and sell stuff I don’t need. He’s even offered to show me on my vehicle why something needs fixed if I am unsure about moving forward with getting something done. They do my general maintenance and have done a large repair on one of my older vehicles as well. Car maintenance is always expensive but their pricing is reasonable and aligns with other local shops, bonus - it’s much less than the dealership.

Recently, Rob & his team saved me thousands of $$$. Long story short: I took my 2015 Subaru Forester to the dealership to diagnose a noise. I was informed by the dealership that my transmission needed replaced ASAP. I was devastated! They quoted me $8200 to replace it brand new and $4200 used. Took it to AJ’s for a 2nd opinion after the noise all of a sudden stopped. A week prior to bringing it for a 2nd opinion, Rob gave me a quote on a used transmission and was aware of the “issue” the dealership said needed replaced ASAP! They ran tests and determined that NOTHING was wrong with my SUV! I haven’t had any noise or issues since! Thank you Rob!!

Great service along with a friendly and professional staff. My truck had a loud noise coming from the rear end. This was not a DIY project!! Rob found a replacement differential and installed it, saving me money from buying a new one. The truck is 10 years old and was diagnosed with some other minor issues that I wasn't pressured into fixing immediately.

I took my car to this shop last week and Rob is extremely rude! I am a women so I don’t understand much about vehicles, especially engines. He has a smart mouth whenever you’re asking him clarifying questions on the phone and in person. I went to go pick up my vehicle and he has no levels of professionalism AT ALL! Charged me $100 for a diagnostic repair, when asked why, he explains in a smart and Condescending manner. When I ask about “Aj” the owner of the shop, he laughs and says good-luck contacting him. Called me out my name as I was leaving the shop. I would NEVER in my life recommend this shop to ANYONE, especially women. He runs both locations, so please find somewhere else to take your vehicle! I had my boyfriend go up to the shop today because I realized that I did not receive any paperwork regarding the diagnosis that I paid $100+ for so that I can get my car fixed elsewhere and Rob refused to give him my paperwork because I left him a bad review and he received a call from his boss about it. This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I paid for something and I have not received the proper documentation for it!

We went to get a tire repaired. They said there were two leaks that had to be fixed, one of which was right by the tire pressure sensor so he had to break it and it would be $250 to replace (overpriced????). We obviously wanted a functioning tire and didn't want to spend that much on replacing the sensor, so we said ok break it but we won't replace it now and just fix the leaks. He was a little unhappy about us choosing not to replace the sensor. Next day, we have a completely flat tire!!! So they broke the sensor and left the tire in worse shape than it had been!!! Horrible place. Will never go back.

Was sitting in queue for Jiffy Lube to get an oil change. Had an idea to get the tires rotated also ( a service Jiffy Lube doesn't offer). Called and explained what I needed and that I was 30 seconds away. Was told no problem. Pulled up and set a timer. 29 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. And for only 99 bucks. Definitely earned my future buisness! Great Job.

My F150 was misfiring, engine knocking, and wouldn’t maintain cruise control. I had them run diagnostics and everything was pointing to the timing chains. This estimate was around 5K due to the extensive labor involved. Before starting, Anthony looked deeper into the diagnostics and asked if he could try flushing all the fluids and replacing the battery. Turns out this resolved all of the issues and saved me well over 4K!! This shop is highly reliable and trustworthy. 5 ⭐️

We took our car here for an oil change as our usual shop was booked full & knew we needed to get in somewhere (we drive an Equinox & those things GUZZLE oil!) On our way there, our service light kicked on & they asked if we wanted them to run the codes - yes, please! Okay, well… they gave us a whole laundry list of issues & gave us a quote of $1,600; $1,000 of that rate being labor alone. Didn’t offer to show us the car or what they were seeing, & basically if we didn’t schedule right away, our transmission would be a goner. We knew something wasn’t adding up, so scheduled an appointment with another shop we’ve had great experience with previously - & let. me. tell. yooouuu… I am SO frustrated with whatever scheme AJ’s was trying to pull.. (either that, or, as our mechanic said - the guy who told us this didn’t know what the heck he was talking about..) We got to look under the hood & under the car, & the mechanic at THIS shop (D&D Auto in Rantoul!!!) pointed out everything that AJ’s Station was gonna try to charge us for, & how they were fuuullll of it. Transmission? Peachy Keen. Intake Valve? B-E-A-Utiful. I am SO frustrated that we entrusted another shop, even briefly, & have spent time worrying & incredibly anxious about spending so much money to fix the car, as we have a baby on the way, & this was going to be a big deal for us financially… so, with that, I would not recommend AJ’s Station & wish we would have just stopped into Penzoil for the oil change & gone to D&D’s from the jump. I would hiiiigghly encourage anyone who’s received a quote from this place to get a second opinion before letting yourself worry/give them any of your hard-earned money. 1 star because they at least got us in for the oil change. Although, they didn’t even replace the windshield sticker for that 🤦🏼‍♀️

Came here after having issues with my car pulling to the left after having new brakes and tires installed at CarX. AJ's was able to quickly assess what was wrong (tires were installed incorrectly) and called with updates along the way. They were able to fix the tire issue and do an alignment so that my car would no longer pull to the left for just $125! Wish I would have just come here first!
