My car broke down while I was in Urbana for a memorial service for my brother, traveling with my elderly mother. Tom couldn’t have been nicer. He fitted me in the same day so I didn’t have to rent a car to take mom home, since she didn’t have enough meds with her to stay over. Plus Covid. I’m actually glad the breakdown happened in Urbana instead of at home in Wisconsin!

I took a vehicle that I was thinking about buying to Fairfield Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection. Tom did an inspection that was both done quickly but also very thorough. He was friendly, professional, and explained the issues that he found with the car very well. The inspection price was also extremely reasonable. I will definitely be returning there in the future!

Fantastic place! Tom took great care of me. I came in with brake problems that 2 other mechanics said were "fine" and no need for replacement, but my brakes kept squeaking and giving pushback. I wanted it addressed before winter and ice came. Tom put me in within around a weeks time and got it looked it, ordered parts and repaired the same day!! Will definitely be returning!
